Description

Monarfon is a lovely, large family holiday home resting in the seaside town of Criccieth, a lovely corner of the coast found on the Llyn Peninsula.

Park up on the drive and head inside to find the fantastic kitchen/diner, where a large wooden table offers a seat for everyone for family gatherings with some great home-cooked food, get involved in the cooking using the array of appliances behind sleek cream units.

Adjoining this and providing access to the garden is the utility room, a welcome addition as it provides a washing machine and a tumble dryer, perfect for longer stays so you can cut down on packing.

A Smart TV rests in the sitting room in front of a charming arrangement of soft seating, a spot will you be looking forward to winding down in at the end of the day and adding a homely touch is the woodburning stove set within the traditional fireplace.

Relax in the conservatory with breakfast and a coffee to wake up with the rest of the world while still within the warmth of the indoors, you can open up the doors to the garden in summer months for children to be in and out of.

As well as a cloakroom, the ground floor also benefits from a double bedroom; take a step down into this delightful spot, it has patio doors that open out onto the drive so you can wake up to a fresh sea breeze coming in.

Head upstairs to find the rest of the bedrooms, including a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a double and a twin, with all the bedrooms hosting a Smart TV as well, meaning you can snuggle under the covers while you watch your favourite show.

A family bathroom with a large P-shaped bath offers a great spot to unwind with a long soak, or take a shower with the shower over to freshen up and start your day.

The town of Criccieth hosts all the amenities you need, you can pick up some recipe ingredients for the shops, indulge in a pub lunch, or try out one of the many different bistros and eateries for an evening meal.

Spend your days by the coast with coastal walks heading further along the Llyn Peninsula, or simply stay by the beach if you've found a sunny spot.

Criccieth Castle is a great one to explore, it offers wonderful views over Tremadog Bay and built in the 13th century it is a longstanding piece of the history of this town.

Porthmadog isn't too far away and is a quaint port town with a pretty harbour and is rich in maritime history.

The Eryri (formerly Snowdonia) mountain range is within reach too for those who enjoy a walking challenge, making Monarfon a perfect choice for a getaway to North Wales for you and your loved one.

The house was great.

Plenty of room and everything had been done to a high standard. Also it was very clean and tidy. Enough parking for 3 cars and a large garden that the kids loved. All in all we had a lovely week in a lovely house in a lovely part of Wales. Can’t praise it enough.

Lovely Accommodation in a nice quiet area in Criccieth, close to all local amenities, shops, beach and castle.

Ample space for parking too. The house was very comfortable and had everything we need for a relaxing weeks holiday. TV in every room was great, and the conservatory nice to relax in at the end of the day and unwind.

The house is in a great location for exploring Criccieth and the surrounding area.

It is spacious and warm and has a welcoming feel. The conservatory is a bonus at this time of year (October) as you get the brightness without being outside. A few things prevent me giving a 5 star review, mainly insufficient crockery and cutlery (especially mugs) for 8 people, also no toilet paper, washing up liquid, cleaning products etc provided. These issues have all been raised by previous guests but not been addressed.
