Husband suggested another TV in the downstairs snug so he could watch sports in peace :). Everything you need, including umbrellas by the door! Amazing service from the owner. Thank you.

  • "First impressions on arrival quite good."

Since our stay I noticed a recent review where the cleaning I raised with the owner had recently been reported, which is disappointing to read & see was unchanged. Finding stained mattress protectors whilst stripping the beds before leaving wasn't brilliant. The kitchen was nice, nice facilities however a freezer in desperate need off defrosting, made it unusable. The cleaning & maintenance issues raised and reported if dealt with would improve my review score.

  • "This is a beautiful house - well located, spacious, and comfortable."

But it hasn’t been properly cleaned: there were crumbs on the kitchen table, sticky handprints on the windows, brown scum on the shower walls, and dust on the skirting boards and banisters. There was thick dust and debris behind the master bed, and a really musty smell in that room, like unwashed socks. The owner was polite and sympathetic when I called, asked me to send photos and said they’d send the cleaners round, but no one came and I had no more contact. No hand soap was provided either, in any of the bathrooms, which felt dirty and inconvenient. All in all we had a lovely stay, but the dirtiness and the smell did spoil it a little.

The upstairs living accommodation definitely had the wow factor with a spacious lounge and sea view . The house boasted a beautiful brand new kitchen with appliances and was well equipped. We would return to this beautiful home which is a credit to the owners.

The first time even though I loved the house there were a few issues. This time however, our stay was faultless, there was a brand new beautiful kitchen complete with new equipment. The house is in a perfect location for exploring the area with coastal walks on the doorstep not to mention lovely places to grab a bite to eat! The garden is a lovely space to relax in the sun.

Love the area, cottage has everything we needed, though a welcome pack would have been appreciated as every other Sykes cottage we have stayed in does this gesture. Not a big thing though. The proximity of shops is also a plus. Everything very easy to use, lovely and warm. Plan to book for same week next year. Just love the relaxing atmosphere. Sorry to leave.

We were travelling from Rossendale valley and 3 couples thought 5 o'clock check in was too late.especially with it being dark and the bad weather conditions. 9 o'clock check out was also too early. Slight problem with electric shower.went from cold to scalding. Otherwise fantastic house and location.

There were food crumbs in one of the kitchen cupboards and some of the oven trays were greasy. We found two bracelets under the coffee table in the lounge so it had not been vacuumed thoroughly. One of the bedrooms was damp with black mould on the wall. The outside gate could not be closed and was banging during a storm.

Very comfortable and spacious, and well equipped. Loved the location, the children liked the little bay which was very close, and only about 15 minute walk to main beach, shops and restaurants. Only little thing, would’ve been helpful to have somewhere to dry the towels, a little washing line or something. We had a great holiday.

Very comfortable and spacious with gorgeous views. The location was great for us, only a short walk to nice restaurants etc and the beach at the end of the street. However the property had not been cleaned properly, leftover food, dirty kitchen drawers, even a pair of dirty socks. Despite these things I would stay here again due to fact that i really liked the house. Maybe the owners need a change of housekeeping company.

Just a minor suggestion, sea air affects locks, which is easily remedied with an regular squirt of WD40, the key was really difficult to use on the front door, but the lubricant sorted it immediately. We have every intention of rebooking next year.

It is lovingly furnished, with high quality beds and fittings, a huge tv and a hive heating system. Lovely quiet cul de sac with great parking. The view is now partial however- we do feel the property listing now needs updating as the picture shown had a full view- this is now obscured by a 3 story house fully built to height. We did not care but others may feel mislead. Only negative was the standard of cleaning- it had not been vacuumed, bathrooms and kitchen not clean, lamps and window ledges had a layer of dust on them. This property deserves better- it looked so good once we had cleaned it, which shouldn’t be our job on day one of our holiday. However we fell in love with it and are already planning our next trip.

  • "Lovely, spacious and light property."

Beds and bedding all very comfortable. Two en-suites and family bathroom a bonus. Huge first floor living area plus additional seating downstairs. New construction of several houses just below Sea Point now blocks a full sea view. But you still see either side. Small team of builders didn’t disturb us, starting about 8am. The kitchen is probably the only let down with cracked laminate doors and freezer door very unstable, extractor not working well. A few things need attention. Take washing-up liquid, non provided (ample dishwasher tabs). Welcome gift of local cake and butter (no tea, coffee, sugar as stated in welcome pack). Small kitchen fridge for house this size, but has additional drinks fridge downstairs. Enclosed garden, with (now) partial sea view, ample outdoor seating. For three adults of let’s say mature years, the stairs, up and down, to bathrooms, fetch and carry, shopping gave us quite a work out. Would be no good for people who cannot climb stairs. Would we stay again - wholeheartedly yes. Good comfortable space, good location for walks from the house, and touring the island. Recommend.

Plenty of room for 6. Comfortable furnishing and lovely decor. Very convenient for many lovely beaches and attractions. The views are wonderful, it's a great shame that houses are being built in front of the property which will restrict the views somewhat. Sadly nothing can be done about that. • "Second time we have visited this cottage and it was just as good as last year."

We did wash everything we used before we used it, we generally do and just stuck the to same plates etc all week. It wasn't dirty but just an extra precaution. The bed in the master bedroom is super comfy. There is still a building site outside, fortunately the builders are very slow, foundations were in last year and not got to the first floor quite yet a year later, this will affect the view a little bit when they are finished but won't stop us returning. We were always up and about early so noise wasn't an issue. The Barra Brith welcome gift was delicious and it would have been good if it had said where it came from as we went looking. Tried the Traeddurr Bay stores first who said they needed 48 hours notice which was fine we ordered some but then the person who made it went off sick so we were then disappointed, however a last minute check just in case found that the SPAR had loads so we bought 3, might have to try making it at some point. it was lovely well buttered for after lunch while out walking. Kitchen stocked ok, the only thing we really missed that we didn't think to take was a good pair of kitchen scissors. A wonderful weeks holiday, the location of this cottage is just perfect for us and we will hopefully be back at some time in the future.

  • "Firstly I would like to complement Sykes for the quality of customer service."

Prior to the holiday I made contact with Sykes by telephone. My enquiry was dealt with in a friendly professional manner and also a big thanks to the house owners for accommodating a special request. I also received a call from Sykes in the week leading up to the holiday to explain that there was a minor repair issue with the property. The house was in a lovely position and fitted our requirements perfectly and would certainly be a consideration for future holidays. We did have an issue when we first arrived in that the twin bedroom had not been made up and there was no bed linen available. Due to the late hour my daughter made do with a throw from the sofa and the following morning I made contact with the housekeeper by phone. Whilst we were out for the day the issue was attended to and resolved. The house is comfortable and well equipped. If I was critical I would say that some of the lounge furniture needs refreshing and there were areas where the standard of cleaning could be better (cooker hood, kitchen shelving, stair rail and shower curtain). To balance this I would add that the property has the wow factor and is a terrific base for a holiday on Anglesey.

Easy access to get to places. View was lovely, so hope it isn't spoilt by the house being built as we have just booked again for next year, hopefully it will actually be our honeymoon next year as we had to postpone our wedding. The building site is right outside but it didn't bother us, there was the odd reverse beeping now and again but the builders weren't particularly noisy and we were out during the day anyway, we were generally awake before they started. If you like to sleep in it might bother you more maybe. House was clean and bedrooms lovely, bed v comfortable. The milk, butter and cake were appreciated on arrival. We just had the most amazing week and loved every minute of it and can't wait to come back.
