  • "The house is well equipped generally and the location is lovely but we expected more for the price we paid."

There was no hot water when we arrived, I had a cold shower before realising it was up to us to turn it on. When we did so the boiler filled the kitchen with noxious fumes. We opened the window to the cupboard it's in and jammed the door shut with the waste bin but you could still smell it whenever someone had a shower. The outside space was fine but no views at all and on a fairly main road and surrounded by barking dogs so we didn't sit out. The bedrooms have venetian blinds which let in light even when 'closed' so that by 4am in june the bedrooms are in daylight. We hung spare sheets over the windows but curtains would have been more effective. In spite of the above we had an enjoyable stay.

Dear Ms Maxwell, We are pleased that you had an enjoyable stay in the house and we welcome all feedback that is left by guests . As mentioned in the description and the address, our house is located on a main road within walking distance to Llanbedrog beach and a few local restaurant & bars in the area . We also have a local spa at the bottom of the road for all amenities. Our guest hand book is a central source on how to operate everything in the house, so I am sorry you did not find this when having your first shower . I am glad this was rectified for the rest of your stay. With regards to the boiler smell - thank you for reporting this and we will investigate it immediately , as we have not experienced this ourselves when staying in the house. Once again we are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your feedback back. Kind regards, Mrs Waters Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved the house, it’s in a fantastic location with amenities nearby."

It was a fabulous base for exploring the local area. The kitchen was really well equipped which made life much easier. The only issue we had was that the beds were seriously uncomfortable and we both struggled to sleep. That would deter me from renting it again unfortunately.

  • "We stayed here for 5 nights during half term - the week after our wedding."

This gorgeous house was the perfect place to spend our familymoon. We spent most of our time at the beaches. Abersoch being our favourite, as reccommended in the guide we had the most delicious ice creams & cakes from Two Islands and a fantastic meal at Manana. Lots of memories have been made here and fairfield will always have a special place in our hearts.

  • "We arrived at the property after being given 1 minute notice by phone, to say that there were issues with the hot water at the property."

We arrived on Saturday and the issues were not properly resolved until Wednesday. As the owner knew about the problem from the previous guests and had done little to resolve the issue we feel that the property should not have been rented out in this condition. We would not recommend this property, given the owners response to our complaint. We told the plumber on arrival that we would not stay if we had no hot water, but he assured us that there was no problem and he showed us how to advance the boiler. We took him at face value and proceeded to unpack and stock the fridge and freezer only to find out later that we could only get about one litre of scalding hot water We therefore found that the offer to be moved late afternoon the following day to be unacceptable. We were also offered compensation by Sykes but so far the offer has not been forthcoming.

We are extremely sorry that you did not accept our offer of a rehouse on arrival. We were also reassured by a trusted plumber that the boiler was fixed, we were glad to be able to respond immediately when you called back to report it was not. Again. I am sorry you declined the offer of a rehouse, preferring instead to remain at Fairfield. I am pleased that the boiler was fixed mid-stay and you were happy with this solution. Please accept my sincere apologies that Sykes have not responded further you your request, if you would like to contact the local office we would be happy to come to a reasonable solution with you. • "Thank you for a delightful stay in your beautiful home."

We had the best time and made wonderful memories, know your home has been filled with laughter this past week. We have been very comfortable, had everything we could need. It was our home away from home.

  • "House was ok,quite tidy, but smelt of bleach."

Had to have cold showers all weekend! Was told the plumper was around before we checked in. He came once there said was fixed went back to being cold within seconds. Arived and there was rubbish flowing out the bins and bits of rubbish all over the back enntrance, house keeper turned up and sorted that problem she was very helpful..Was not worth the money would stay away from this property.

Our housekeeper does an excellent and thorough job which we are very appreciative of, the plumber we engage when necessary responded in a very quick and efficient manner, especially given the Bank Holiday. A private bin collection has been organise and should be running smoothly shortly. Property Owner
