It had everything we needed for our weeks stay.Comfortable and warm and I loved the vintage furniture.Shower could have been bigger as it was tight squeeze and you had to battle with the shower curtain to stop the water going on the floor.Enjoyed the breakfast at the seagrass cafe and it was dog friendly.!!.The pubs on the street did not do food which was a shame but both were friendly Virginia inn particularly

  • "A lovely place to stay, love the character of Alma terrace it had all the facilities we needed."

Close to shops, beach and pub. Train station is close so we left the car and used the train for our visits to Llandudno, Conway and Rhyl, only used the car to go to Snowdon which is 25 minutes away. We walked to Aber falls which was lovely. We would definitely stay again thank you.

So glad you had an enjoyable stay. Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

  • "The cottage is dated, but comfortable and clean."

However, the bathroom needs updating - the electric shower is tiny and not accessible to anyone with mobility issues or who is not very slim. The shower did not work. It could not be adjusted from either freezing cold to scolding hot. When I informed the owner, I was told it could not be fixed for our stay and 'it's a shame you can't use the bath'!! I have mobility issues but the bath does not have mixer taps nor a shower head fitting, so it would not 'obviously' be 'the solution' as suggested by the owner for anyone! No offer of compensation was made.

I apologised many times. The shower broke the day before you were leaving, you make out it wasn’t working when you arrived. You informed me at 9.17 via WhatsApp, I phoned 6 plumbers, none could attend until the Monday so I did try & get it fixed for you, but I didn’t leave you without washing facilities. I’m sorry you have mobility issues but my cottage does have stairs & people with mobility issues would probably not choose my cottage although you have stayed before. shower has been replaced. • "A simply furnished cottage, if not a little old fashioned, positioned in a lovely village."

Great place to travel out from to local towns & for sight seeing. Kitchen had everything you could need, clean and tidy. There is a very small yard to the rear with the river running along the back. Easy to access the property and was parking available on the road. Fair price for what we paid and was able to take the dog.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

The area has plenty to see and do. The cottage is a great base to see North Wales from. It is a lovely cottage, clean, cosy and everything you could need to make your stay an enjoyable one. We've already booked for next year! We would highly recommend this cottage for your holiday.

  • "Dirty damp and mould everywhere"

Unfortunately you didn’t let us know about the property as we would have got the cleaners back to do a re clean for you as I have explained to you numerous times. The property has now been deep cleaned at my request, windows have been treated and the patio jet washing has been brought forward. In future I would recommend contacting owners when you are staying at a property so they can rectify an issue as we don’t like our properties dirty but we can not do anything about it if we are not told. • "Lovely cosy warm and clean cottage, just right for two adults and two children."

Very responsive and helpful owner, two issues (both our fault) quickly and pleasantly resolved with no fuss. Situation is excellent for touring North Wales, we had no trouble parking outside the cottage, boys very grateful for the Play Station!, and we all had a very enjoyable short holiday in Wales.

Thank you, I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "We thought the cottage was great, well equipped and the owners appeared very thoughtful in terms of equipment , accessories needed for a home from home stay ."

Llanfairfechan has pubs, , shops , co op , nisa and plenty of independent shops and local butcher . It’s a short walk/drive to the promenade and beach from the cottage and a short drive to the North Wales expressway ( A55 ) so it’s pretty much central to other towns , cities etc to explore and enjoy . We had a great stay at the cottage and would stay here again

Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Arrived at the cottage to find it had not been cleaned and bed had not been made up."

The owner contacted the cleaning company and a cleaner arrive at just after 5pm. Both apologised and I was refunded £50. There was also a problem with the gas fire which has been disconnected. I spent some time trying to light it when I contacted the owner she suggested I should have seen it was disconnected as there was a sign on it. The sign was the size of a cheese triangle and had been pushed under the fire so was not visible. The cottage itself is lovely and in a good position for exploring surrounding the The first day of my holiday was spoilt due to stress of finding the cottage had not been cleaned and I was unable to explore in daylight as I would normally on the first day. The owner although responded quickly was quite rude in her response to me when I told her the first day of my holiday had been ruined suggesting I should be satisfied with an apology from her and the cleaner and £50 refund.

I am sorry you feel that your complaint wasn't dealt with properly. I know it was disappointing that the cottage wasn't cleaned when you got to it and I did apologise for this but the cleaner had been booked in as I explained to you and so did they. You rang me at 15.52 and by 17.05 the cleaners were at the property carrying out the clean and changing the bedding. I did say you didn't need to stay in the property and wait for them as they could access the property but you decided you wanted to stay in. That was your choice. Regarding the fire, all I said was that the gas engineer had put a sign on the fire and it was under the grate. I was unaware it had been moved and said I would get the book updated, which has been done. You were not expecting a fire though as I had already had that removed from the details on Sykes. I was not rude to you and spoke to you numerous times and apologised continually to you. I also spoke to Sykes and they said I had dealt with everything correctly and given you a generous refund. I apologise again for the cleaning but overall there was nothing more I could have done for you, than what I did. Property Owner

  • "Cottage smelt a bit musty when I arrived Central heating wasn't set to come on - unseasonably cold May so would have liked that option Couldn't get the lounge fire to light after four days!"

? Everything was OK so no real complaints - my only 'real' negative is that the lighting in the kitchen was paltry - it was difficult to see what I was doing, and in fact I could never tell whether the light was on or not unless I checked!
