  • "We had a fabulous holiday."

The house itself was clean, tidy and had fabulous views, the beds were comfortable, it has a good enclosed garden for letting the dogs out. The location ticked all of our boxes for a great holiday having the beach across the road to walk the dogs and all amenities nearby. Some great restaurants and cafes. We went on the little road train one day which had stunning scenery. We sat on the balcony at the house and watched the world go by. We had great weather for March with some sun. We enjoyed watching the sunset each night. Lots of great memories were made. We will definitely book here again.

  • "Great time at the property."

Lovely bottle of wine, biscuits and home grown tomatoes on arrival. Agree with others parking is very limited but found parking no issues on street outside. Be nice if could have it marked you allowed to park where the white line outside the drive way is. A tumble dryer would be ideal as when weather turns colder and wet. Wonderful views from most rooms. Helpful having dishwasher tablets and toilet paper etc as a nice touch. We will be returning!

  • "Lovely property in a fantastic location, beautiful views and great walks, with easy access to the main town."

All you needed in the kitchen. The only thing to maybe consider is, especially in the colder months, it would be nice to have availability to more tv channels, like Netflix or Sky or a DVD player with some films to watch.

  • "Overall, our Party of 7 enjoyed our stay in Penrhyn."

There were a couple of minor problems, one of which Bob and Pam fixed immediately and the other, a problem with a bed, provided a temporary fix. Bob and Pam are the Owners, and are nice people! Regarding accuracy of the listing, my only ‘issue’ is that the drive will not accommodate two vehicles unless they are Fiat 500’s or similar. However roadside parking in front of the house was never a problem. Consensus is that we would all return at some future date. Provision of a small television in the Attic room would be a bonus.

  • "We had a wonderful week staying at Penrhyn!"

Even though the weather was not fabulous, there is so much to do in the area and the house was very comfortable and clean. The kids loved the fusbal table and it is a lovely idea to have puzzles and games available for when it's wet outside. The welcome note and treats were an unexpected and very much appreciated bonus. Thank you!

  • "We were very disappointed with the level of cleanliness throughout the property I can provide photos, other issues was due to maintenance some windows didn't lock some wouldn't open one window was mastic fixed, oven grill was not functional, we had to guess the temperature settings on the oven due to numbers being worn of, the space where American fridge freezer should be in kitchen units must have broke so a free standing fridge freezer had been put in it's place, which was not big enough for such a large family gathering."

But on the plus side the location was fantastic, the beds were very comfortable & I am sure with these issues being addressed we would certainly return, if photos or videos are required of any of the issues I would happily forward to yourselves. Issues a side thank you for lovely holiday.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise the cleanliness was not to your standard, after reviewing your photos carefully, we feel that the areas in question are not easily accessible or visible in the property. The instructions for the oven are in the welcome pack. Thank you again for the feedback. Property Owner

  • "The house was very comfortable and warm with everything you could need."

The house was in a lovely position overlooking the sea and anglesey . The only thing we were disappointed with was a lack of a welcome pack which we have been used to in previous properties

We leave milk sugar tea and coffee in the kitchen to welcome guests and we provide hand soaps and all extras in bathrooms. From experience commercial welcome packs do not satisfy all guests. Allergies, nuts, lactose, not catered for so binned by guests. Rather give good facilities and general comforts. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the property. Bob and Pam Property Owner

  • "The listing includes a wood burning stove which is incorrect as it is a decorative stove."

We also took a toddler and were told by the owners that the doors were narrow, but they had a cot and highchair. Unfortunately the doors are extra wide and therefore our normal stair gate didn't fit, resulting in the toddler sleeping in the cot for safety. Except they couldn't sleep properly due to usually being in a normal size bed. There were also several sharp objects around and therefore apart from the highchair and cot I would say this cottage isn't under 4 friendly. However the adults enjoyed the games and football table, the view and due to us only staying a few nights and knowing Llandudno well it did what we wanted it to do. On a high note probably one of the best kitchens we've stayed in for equipment, just need an instruction manual for the oven. Thanks for having us and for the rain staying away.

  • "Everything was superb."

Fantastic property and great being out of the way of the busy part of Llandudno but also not too far. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook an Xmas dinner which can be rare for cottage stays. Notes (for the property owner only - not to be published): The top floor shower did seem blocked so may need looking at - we didn’t want to disturb the owner over the Xmas period to report this issue. Also, the symbols on the cooker knobs have come away so we had to guess the settings using the manual.

Thank you for your feedback. There is a manual for the cooker in the kitchen cupboard. However, our son who is quite a good artist has sent us a diagram on the knobs with correct position to put on the Welcome file thanks for bringing this to our notice. Hope to see you again. • "We enjoyed our stay at penrhyn the house was light and fulfilled all our needs and had great views over the sea."

Our only negative thought was we would of liked there to of been a working fire in the main lounge to use for the cooler months. That aside this was a great house in a great position so close to llandudno.

Thank you for your feedback. The fireplace in the lounge originally had a gas fire that needed to be disconnected for safety. It no longer has a working chimney. We do have an option for coal fires in playroom hall and dining room. So far we have not been asked to provide them as I think most guests would think them hard work and a worry with children. Hope to see you back again. Bob and Pam Property Owner

  • "Really nice big house with plenty of room for everyone."

Could do with a little paint here and there but generally a very nice house. Great quiet location on the West coast of Llandudno but only a short walk from the nearest pub and shop around the corner. Only a short walk from the main town with shops, bars and restaurants. Lots of national trusts and nice walks to do locally, including around the Great Orme with lots of sea nature to see - including wild seals.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your feedback. Have just had a short break in guests and have repainted the bedroom wall where the paintwork was damaged by an ingress of water from a window. Also managed to clean the decking and giving it our attention. Bob and Pam Property Owner

  • "Lovely home especially for 6 adults."

Lovely location convenient for shopping or walks our dog loved the beach right outside for morning walks. Parking could only accommodate 1 car whilst still being able to walk to the door but assume 2 would fit just being tight right next to the house plenty of off I parking though so not an issue. Couldn’t fault anything really happy with our stay.

Thank you for your feedback. Parking is unrestricted on the road outside the house and sometimes we have to accommodate up to four cars for eight guests. Maybe we will consider taking away the front garden. Hope to see you back again. Bob and Pam Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely property in a prime location and well equipped for our family’s needs."

We enjoyed our stay very much. However, we were extremely disappointed by the 9.30 non negotiable departure time which denied us any use of the property on the last day. Considering the rental cost for 2 nights, we had less than one and a half days access to the house. Having previously rented a number of properties, this is the first one we have been asked to vacate by 9.30. All others have been 11.00 or 11.30. We would like to book this property again but the departure time is a huge disappointment and would deter us from doing so. We were in the play park and were surprised to see only one cleaner arrive. Perhaps an additional cleaner for the size of this property would afford guests a later departure time which would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback. COVID brought in tighter regulations from our Maids service. They have to abide by rules to make sure houses are fully sanitized. This means that they spend longer in each property. Leaving the houses ready for arrivals mid afternoon. Normally there are a minimum of two Maids often arriving in one car. If you want an extra hour in the house, it is well to check with Sykes to see what arrangements are in place. We do hope to see you back again. Bob and Pam Property Owner

The property

Resting on the west shore of Llandudno is this spacious, three storey property, Penrhyn.

Boasting uninterrupted sea views, this quaint retreat is well-positioned for a family or group of friends looking to experience the charm of this coastal town.

Two off-road parking spaces will greet you upon arrival; take a moment to appreciate the fresh seaside breeze before stepping into Penrhyn.

Boasting two sitting rooms each with TVs and ample seating, there’s plenty of space for everyone to socialise and relax after a long day, with one of the sitting rooms offering a futsal table for hours of entertainment.

Carry the conversation into the kitchen, where you can keep the chef company as they prepare a home-cooked dish, utilising the large range cooker before serving in the separate dining room for a big feast.

Off the kitchen is a handy utility with a washing machine, so there’s no need to pack your whole wardrobe!

On the first floor there are three charming bedrooms; the master includes a super-king-size with zip/link beds, while there is also a king-size with Jack-and-Jill en-suite shower and a separate double served by a shower room.

Up another flight of stairs leads to the large double bedroom with en-suite shower, tastefully built into the eaves with wonderful sea views.

Venture outside and enjoy a moment in the lawned garden, sipping on a favourite beverage as you watch over your pooch whilst they stretch their legs.

When you’re ready to explore, Llandudno is a bustling town with so much to do; wander along the promenade with a portion of fresh fish and chips in hand, before making your way over to the pier where you can test your hand at a range of arcade games, concessions and sample quality food stalls.

If you fancy a day on the beach, then there are two to choose from; the popular North Shore is backed by Victorian hotels while the West Shore is quieter and offers miles of sandy shoreline backed by sandy dunes and stunning views out to Anglesey.

Venturing out of the town, Conwy is a wonderful town known for its UNESCO World Heritage Castle and Walls, along with hosting a range of pubs and restaurants and even some unique attractions such as The Smallest House in Great Britain.

Those looking to get their steps in will be drawn to the outdoor adventure in the Eryri (Snowdonia National Park), ranging from hiking and walking to even abseiling and zip-lining!

North Wales is filled with plenty of adventure and attractions; choose Penrhyn to begin your exploration of this region.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
