  • "Hi, we had another fabulous stay at Lanka, we did have a few issues unfortunately which we just thought you should know about."

. the stable front door, which we love, was not working properly. We couldn’t get it to lock into a single door because the brass lock which holds the two doors together wasn’t working very well. The door handle to the bath room fell off but we did manage to screw that back on but it was still loose when we left. The kitchen tap was very loose also but there was a note on the tap when we arrived informing us of this problem. Finally and this is just us.. we think the mattresses are poor quality and uncomfortable but we stay there because Lanka is so comfortable otherwise and is in such a beautiful location. Many thanks, Jane & Mick

Loved the position of the cottage, and was not disappointed when we let ourselves in for the first time. The interior was put together with a lot of thought....also immaculate and comfortable and surprisingly spacious. We lit the log burner, played cards and woke up to the amazing views! Like many visitors, I spotted this place from afar, in years gone by....never thinking I'd get to stay there one day! A tiny, tiny point.....some tea bags/coffee and milk would be a nice addition......thats the best I can do in terms of pointing out improvements!!

We’ve walked past Lanka for all those years and envied whoever owned it. We love the area so much that my Husband proposed to me on the headland behind the cottage and it was the first walk we took both our Daughters on when they each were babies, so to stop in Lanka really was special. We’ve had the most amazing family Christmas in your beautiful cottage, thank you so much for sharing it! We arrived to find a bottle of wine, Welsh cakes and even a lit Christmas tree, how lovely! The cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. There’s every utensil you could ever need in the kitchen, all bedding and towels etc were provided and there was even toilet roll, washing up liquid, hand wash etc to start you off. Even logs for the log burner etc were provided, which we used on Christmas Day - just lovely! The kitchen is so well stocked with saucepans etc I managed to prepare a 3 course Christmas lunch for us all. We had a fabulous family Christmas, waking up to the sound of the waves, enjoying lots of long walks and meals out at The Boat House and Dylan’s. We found a selection of games in the wardrobe, so enjoyed those too. Thank for an amazing Christmas and holiday, we will DEFINATELY be returning!!

  • "Lanka is a little gem!"

We stayed here on a pre Christmas break with the kids and dog. On arrival we were given wine and Welsh cakes. The cottage was beautiful, it felt like we were living in a fairy tale! Clean and fresh, the decor was seaside themed and perfectly suited the place. My teen daughter who is very hard to please, said she wanted her very own Lanka, and the access to the pebbly beach made for excellent teen beach combing! The weather was wet, and blustery but we actually really enjoyed it. The dog loved having his ears flapping on the headland and chasing seagulls, he would have been down there all day if he could! We had some lovely food at Ann’s Pantry in the village, and they even had doggy treat bags. We loved Lanka so much we will be returning in 12 months time. Just perfect, location, cottage, cosy, comfy and cuddly!! Thank you to the owners for sharing your little gem!

Trying not to get blown over on the way to picking up the key from the key safe was an experience. Once inside the property we lit the log fire and the place was snug and warm in no time. The cottage is exceptionally clean and has all the facilities you need. Being right on the beach in the middle of a storm was no problem because the cottage is very secure with strong walls and windows. There are stunning views and beautiful walks along the shoreline. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, despite the weather. Can definitely recommend.

It is qell equipped. Being next to the beach and sitting outside the cottage are lovely memories. We also love Moelfre having spent many previous holidays in the area. Our only criticism is that it is difficult to access the far side of the bed in the large master bedroom being under the slope of the roof. This is not very clear in the photos. If the bedroom door opened outwardly instead of inwards then the bed could be moved more to the centre of the room to give easy access to both sides of the bed
