  • "This cottage has the potential to be exceptional."

It's very dark and cosy, which for December was great. It's tucked away without a drive, but we found the on road parking to be absolutely fine. We really enjoyed reading about the property's history, which was included as part of the welcome information. We appreciated the firewood for the first fire, and the sparkling wine in the fridge was a nice touch. There is a well stocked Spar down the road, and it is very close to some stunning beach walks. Communication with the owner was great when we couldn't find the immersion switch for the hot water - friendly and very helpful. If you are considering this cottage, though, know that you will need to bring *everything* with you. There was one toilet roll, one tea towel, one bin liner for the small kitchen bin, no hand soap, no hair dryer (not great to discover that right before a brisk beach walk in December!), no heater in either of the bedrooms. The single tea towel quickly became smelly because there is no central heating so therefore no radiator to dry it on. Many holiday lets we have stayed in have everything you need to make it a home from home - this isn't one of those properties, so just bear that in mind. Finally, for dog owners: the garden is not connected to the cottage. It is totally separate, so letting your dog out for a wee before bed or in the middle of the night isn't an option - you'll need to put their lead on and take them out. Overall a very cosy cottage full of character and history, it just needs a bit more attention to detail.

Thanks for the review, pleased you’ve enjoyed your stay, apologies for lack of hairdryer will get one this week. I will ask cleaner to double up on toilet roll bin bag and tea towel. Property Owner

  • "Lovely little cottage, beautifully renovated and really cosy and comfortable."

Be aware that the garden is separate to the house, down a side alley, and it was padlocked during our October stay. So, not ideal for dog owners staying out of season. Cottage had everything we needed but it would have been nice to have salt, washing up liquid, more than 1 loo roll, and maybe a hand soap provided. The little things make a big difference. We would stay again though as it's perfectly placed for gorgeous beaches and coast path, and we had a really nice time.

Thanks for the great review, Sorry to hear you couldn’t get access to garden, gate is not locked, washing up liquid is in a ceramic pump next to sink. I’ve asked the cleaner to leave 2 toilet rolls and salt and pepper mills. Thanks again Gwyn Property Owner

  • "Ty Receiver is a delightful cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay."

Nefyn is a beautiful place with wonderful views from a nearby footpath that leads to the beach. Delicious pastries at the beach cafe. Friendly pub just up the road and two nearby well stocked shops. Also, the area is paradise for 4 legged waggy tail family members. We had the best time and will definitely be returning.

Clean and comfortable. Perfectly situated for the coastal path and for exploring the area. Loved Nefyn and it's great pub. Hope to visit again soon.

  • "Lovely little cottage in Nefyn."

Short walk to a very nice pub, 10 mins along a coastal path to a great beach and 20 mins drive to Abersoch. We had a great time.
