"Lovely cottage, well equipped and in beautiful condition."
The walks from the door were beautiful and perfect for our dog. At this time of year we appreciated how warm the cottage was.
-
"The cottage was one of the nicest we have stayed in."
The owner was helpful and the cottage was very well-maintained and well equipped. The weather turned wet and colder half way through the holiday butthe. heating system kicked in at just the right time. It was in a very quiet place…we heard no noises from surrounding homes or people andthe surrounding area was spectacular. The addition of welsh cakes and milk when we arrived was an added bonus. We will certainly come back.
Thank you for your excellent feedback. Property Owner

"Fabulous holiday let in a prime position for walkers and hikers."
We thoroughly enjoyed not having to use our car for the fiest few days whilst ww explored the walks from the back gate and via the front door, from mountains walks to coastal walk,...simple beautiful. Great little pub just 10 mins walk away too.
I’m really happy that you enjoyed your stay and everything the area has to offer. Thank you for taking the time to review. Property Owner

"We loved our time at Cae Bach."
It was in a beautiful area of Wales. We loved walking in the hills above the cottage that were filled with heather. The cottage was comfortable and clean.
Thank you, for taking the time to review. I’m really happy that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"Lovely cottage in superb surroundings, ideal for dog walking whether you prefer short flat or long hill walking!"
The only complaint is that the back garden is in dire need of good cleaning and lick of paint! Front garden was lovely to sit outside. Overall the cottage is well equipped and very clean. A grab rail in shower would be useful and in need of extractor fan.
Thanks for taking the time to review. We finally got a break in the weather to be able to give the back outdoor area the lick of paint it did need. I’m happy you enjoyed the front garden outdoor seating area. Property Owner
-
"Lovely relaxing holiday in a well equipped comfortable cottage in a beautiful location."
Lovely dog walks from the front door. The only cons were that the exterior areas are in need of some tidying, sweeping (back area), and hedge pruning. I thought the approach over the narrow bridge may have been a problem but easily manoeuvred with a little practice! Would certainly recommend.
Thank you for the recommendation. Property Owner

"A lovely clean and comfortable cottage with everything you need for a holiday including a stair gate."
The entrance over the bridge can be missed when first arriving, it is tight, take your time and approach it straight and you're fine. The individual parking space outside the cottage is needed when other cars park on the road. The cottage is conveniently located to visit the area. We had lovely weather so both outside areas where used, both comfortable and sun traps. The cottage was easy to prepare meals, and eat them in the light and airy conservatory, it has everything you need, although please note it has an under counter fridge so fitting our food delivery was a challenge. The beds and sofas were really comfortable, the lounge was cool and lovely contrast to the heat outside. We would love to return again soon. Thank you.
Thanks for the review Mandy, I’m really pleased you had a great time. Property Owner

"Absolutely a fabulous cottage."
Our stay was fantastic and the neighbours are great. Need a fire stick for the tv to give more options when eventually you come home. The cottage is exactly as described and so beautiful. We loved it so much that we are coming back for Christmas. So my message is do book if you want a peaceful cottage with amenities very close and great for our doggies xxx
Thank you for this fantastic feedback, see you at Christmas Property Owner

"This property is in a beautiful location."
For dog owners in particular there are numerous walks. One which leads to the village centre is a pathway alongside the stream which runs past the cottage front. Between this village and the next is a manicured golf course which also has public footpaths across it. For a family with children Penmaenmawr beach has super facilities including a paddling pool, skateboard park, play area as well as the beach, which is sandy when the tides out. There is also a dog friendly cafe which serves good food and drinks. Access to the cottage is tight across a narrow bridge but once the appropriate manoeuvres are identified, it isn't a problem. If there are any problems help is only a phone call away.

"This is our third stay in this comfy, cosy and clean cottage with everything you could want for a holiday with a small walk to the Fairy Glen at the top of the hill for an evening meal."
Will definitely visit again.
So happy it was everything you wanted, (apart from the weather this time), glad it didn’t stop you getting around and having a lovely time. Thanks for the great review. Property Owner

"An excellent stay."
The cottage is lovely and welcoming - we felt at home as soon as we stepped in. Really well equipped with lots of thought gone into its practicality. Definitely one of the best we have stayed in. Good communication with the owner and will definitely plan a return visit. Highly recommended.
Thank you for taking the time to review. I’m very happy you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, and I would be very pleased to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

"The cottage was lovely although we didn't realise how isolated it was."
Having two teenage grandkids there was very little for them to do without taking them out in the car.
-
"We had a very enjoyable stay in an area we know well."
The cottage was comfortable and convenient, we would certainly book again.

"Beautiful peaceful cottage Some work going on at neighbours houses Was a bit noisy , but cannot be helped and not the hosts fault Would be made better with an iron, ironing board and front garden fence That said would book again."
Hi Mary, I’m happy that you enjoyed enough to want to return at some point. As the cottage is old and small, there is not a lot of storage space, but i will consider how I can incorporate an ironing board. As stated in Sykes cottage information, the front garden is not enclosed to be able to leave a car parking space, but the back garden area is fully enclosed, and has seating areas if wanted. Thank you for taking the time to review. Property Owner

"The only problem for us was the lack of a handle at the top of the stairs - but this only applies because we are really ancient pensioners!"
Otherwise superb property.

"We were extremely pleased with this lovely property."
Tucked away in a cosy row of cottages with a fantastic view, from front window, of the fells opposite the peaceful front garden. Inside the well appointed cottage was everything we needed for a warm and stress free week with our 2 dogs. All the modern amenities that we all expect these days were there. The front garden was a pretty and peaceful place to relax with very comfortable garden furniture. Our 2 'golden oldy' dogs were quite happy to stay in garden but as there is no fence across bottom of garden there could be the need for a long line tether for some 'inquisitive' dogs!! There are numerous walks straight from the property and access to a beach which was a lovely surprise too. So, peace and quiet, beautiful views, cosy but spacious cottage with all mod.cons, lovely neighbours, lovely walks without having to keep using the car and a grocery shop within easy walking distance. Also just a few minutes drive into lovely Conwy. We will be back in 2024!!
Thank you for this fantastic review, makes our efforts worthwhile. Will be great to welcome you back again. Property Owner

"Lovely little cottage in a brilliant location."
It was clean and the owner messaged to welcome us and felt like she was there if we needed anything. Perfect stay for us and our dog. Lovely walks very close and not far from the beach or some amazing scenery. We would love to stay again. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Thank you

-
"The cottage is in a rural setting ideal for walkers etc."
We intended to see the area by car due to limited mobility Access is limited to small cars via a narrow lane and narrow bridge over a stream the only way to it Needs some updating but think the owner is keeping the character of the house instead of using modern basic fittings
I’m sorry the cottage was not to your liking. All fixtures and fittings are new and modern and installed in last 3 years. The front door is also relatively new, and I am sorry you struggled to unlock it, but glad I was there to help. I did try to advise you on the best way to manage the bridge access, you responded, that you were a competent driver, and perfectly able to manage the bridge, which although narrow, is wide enough for transit vans. "Lovely cottage."
Amazing mountain view from the front garden and peaceful setting. Very clean! V. comfortable beds and excellent shower. Lots of options for sitting/eating outside which was great. Highly recommended.

"Cae Bach is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location and was exceptionally clean and everything we needed."
The owner was very accommodating on our arrival day arranging for us to gain access early due to the extreme heat. I would like to say that I don't think the property is for anyone with slight disabilities or requires a walking aid, the garden path was narrow and very over grown which slightly took the charm away. The owner did also apologise in advance for the building work taking place next door which I said I fully understood but when they woke you with drilling, hacking and banging just after 8am two mornings our holiday lie in was not a pleasurable experience.
I’m really sorry that you found the path too narrow. We do attempt to maintain the foliage to the side of the path, and did cut an obvious bramble back yesterday, but it has been planted to encourage pollinators, birds etc, and therefore we only cut back as much as is necessary, at this time of year, to allow access. If i had known it was causing you problems with access, i would have come and cut it back earlier. I can only apologise again re the building work which started unexpectedly, and am extremely sorry that it caused you disruption. Property Owner

"The cottage was in a very pretty and extremely quiet location with several excellent walks from the door, great not to have to use the car everyday."
The scenery was amazing from the mountains on the walk to Conwy. It was especially well situated to visit many attractions with the A55 nearby . Our only negative would be the parking which is accessed over a very narrow bridge and then the turning into the parking spot was tight certainly not for the faint hearted - maybe some of the brambles opposite the drive could be cut back a little to give a bit more room to manoevure. There was parking in the road adjacent but sometimes quite full. All in all a very relaxing place to stay.
-
"Cae Bach is the ideal place to stay if you like walking, or want to explore North Wales."
It is homely and comfortable and provided everything we needed for the week. We really our stay and we were very lucky with the weather, so utilised the out door area on a few days. The conservatory provided a great place for meals when it did rain or was just too chilly to sit outside. It was also a good place for morning yoga. We would come come and stay again.
-
"Really good base for visiting places."
Comfortable. I should have pressed 10 in the first numbers.
-
"Beautiful cottage really clean and tidy, pub 5 minute walk away and very welcoming, good food, shop 10 minutes away and well stocked ."
The area absolutely beautiful, lovely for walking and only a 25 minute walk to the the beach on foot the dog really enjoyed it because he loved going in the little stream/river and the sea. We will definitely coming back. Xxx
Thank you for taking the time to review. So pleased you enjoyed your stay, and everything the area has to offer, and really appreciate how clean and tidy you left it. Property Owner

"We had such a lovely week at Cae Bach, the house was warm and cozy on arrival and spotlessly clean."
The Welsh cakes, teabags and milk were a nice surprise and much appreciated after our long journey. The gorgeous weather helped but the cottage couldn't of been better placed for the hills and the sea. We only used the car once all week to pop to Llandudno to visit the great orme and shopping otherwise we walked to Conwy and beyond. Loved our weeks holiday in this beautiful house and have booked again for later in the year x

"A well equipped cottage, in a beautiful location."

"Well presented property I would stay again"

"Beautiful cottage, very clean and comfortable and with everything you would need."
Superb location with easy access to walks from the door. Will definitely visit again.

"Cottage was even better than we expected."
Sometimes cottages look nice in the photos but in reality they are a bit tired and need refurbishing. This cottage was clean and modern but retained its character. Also the location was even better than we expected. It had the advantage of appearing remote e.g. sheep, hills, a stream yet it was close to local amenities e.g. a very nice pub and a very nice beach. A good central location for touring north Wales.
-
"A lovely cottage, tastefully decorated, with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing break."
Comfy beds, beautiful views, walks from the door, complimentary Welsh cakes - we loved it and would recommend without hesitation.
-
"Cottage very clean, comfortable and well equipped."
-
"Lovely clean cosy cottage with all the facilities you need for a great holiday."
Excellent location for Snowdonia and Anglesey and for some golf in the evening a 9 hole course on your doorstep. We have stayed in this area two years running, I think that confirms how much we like the area.
-
"We had a truly wonderful holiday and the location of the the cottage is just perfect."
The views were amazing and it was so pretty. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Christine
-
"Lovely cozy cottage, and great location."

"Delightful cottage, decorated and equipped with love and care."
Superb location - so peaceful with excellent walks from the doorstep, yet conveniently placed for accessing the numerous beaches and local attractions. A gem of a place!

"We had a lovely week at cae bach."
The cottage is extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. Milk in the fridge and welsh cakes were lovely. Comfy beds and warm and cosy. we had some lovely walks from the cottage and the fairy Glenn pub is only a 10 minute walk away and well set up for a socially distanced pint. Conwy marina is a short drive away and the beach is brilliant for kids and dogs. We would definitely recommend this cottage and the local area.
-
"The cottage was very pretty and beautifully presented."
Ideally situated to explore the North Wales coastal area or the Snowdonia National Park. In fact we liked it so much we have already booked another week in September.
-
"The cottage was like new it was so clean."
The lovely welcome pack of Welsh Cakes and Milk was an added bonus. We will definitely recommend this cottage to our friends. I am sure our Dog max has the holiday blues. Really good location plenty of walks on the door step as well. We Really Enjoyed Our Stay.
-
"Cae Bach is a lovely cottage and on our arrival we were greeted with goodies for the Christmas break."
The cottage is light and airy and beautifully decorated with all items you think you will need and more. Lovely piution in front of the steam and will definitely visit again . Thanks

"We stayed at Cae Back for 5 nights along with our two doggies."
The cottage was very warm and cosy. There is a log burner as well but we didn't need that. We loved the comfortable bed and the large powerful shower. The kitchen is well equipped and the hosts provide all the basics. The location is rural and there are several walks that you can do with the dogs right from the cottage. The pub at the Fairy Glen is only about 5 minutes walk away and does a good dinner. We have quite a large car and we did struggle getting access to the parking space. You have to manoeuvre over a lovely old bridge but it is very tight. You can park on the road just a minute's walk away. Take a torch as it is dark for a winter stay. We really enjoyed our stray and would recommend the cottage to other guests.
-
"The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard and was cosy and warm even though the weather turned cold while we were there."
It had all the facilities you could need and the owners had left stocks of basics for their guests. They also contacted us to make sure we were comfortable and the house was warm enough. The beds were super comfy as well. The location was perfect for walks with our two dogs and the house was designed to be easy to clean with dogs around. Very close to both the amenities of Llandudno and the beautiful countryside. All in all, it was perfect for us and I was sad to leave - we'll definitely be back!
-
"The cottage is very cosey, super-clean, and very comfortable."
The only thing I would say, is, the beds in the back bedroom were quite large, very comfy, but not a lot of room in the bedroom. The beds could be a little narrower, leaving a bit more room to move around. This is in no way a criticism, the beds and bedding were really lovely,(the duvet was so cosy). The kitchen and bathroom were very of very high standard, and the whole ambience of the cottage was really welcoming. Log burner was a real bonus, and made us all feel at home when it was a bit stormy. We would definitely book again, and even stay a little longer. Thanks for a lovey stay.
-
"We had a great holiday in this excellent cottage in North Wales."
It was ideally positioned on the northern coast of Wales in easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park as well as surrounding towns and historic sites. The cottage itself was finished to very high standard and afforded walks from the doorstep into the surrounding hills. A pub was within easy walking distance from the door. Having stayed at several Sykes cottages I can highly recommend Cae Bach as being one of the best we have visited.
-
"Beautiful cottage situated in a lovely village."
Everything we needed was there, and lovely outdoor furniture and seating areas at the front and back. Easy located to explore the surrounding areas. Bay of Bengal, local indian restaurant is worth a visit. Really enjoyed our stay in this cottage, and would recommend staying here.
