  • "Very clean and perfect location."

A few minor things. No mirror in main bathroom and no mirror in bedroom. Mattresses very inferior, paper thin so you could feel springs. Not very comfortable, suggest invest in decent mattresses and this would be a perfect holiday cottage

    Reviewed by Jeffrey3.8Oct 2024

  • "Although the apartment was in excellent clean condition a few things irked : 1."

No sharp kitchen knives nor even a bread knife. 2. No oven gloves 3. Bigger kitchen bin required 4. Mould on the shower enclosure ceiling 5. Railing outside was loose 6. No worktop cleaning sprays 7. Lounge table lamps maybe, ceiling lights harsh, too dark without. This might sound like nitpicking but it is only a suggestion to make the apartment more user friendly. Our stay was really good, would return.

  • "A lovely apartment in a good location."

However, the mattress in the bedroom opposite the shower room was extremely uncomfortable to the point of being painful due to the springs pressing through. I noted that this had been mentioned several times before and nothing seems to have been done to correct it i.e. replace the mattress or topper. The only way I could get comfortable was to place the two spare duvets under the bottom sheet. Also there is no mirror in the shower room. As I had seen this mentioned before, I assumed it would have been corrected but was most disappointed to find that my husband had to ask to shave in the other bathroom. If these two complaints/comments from previous reviews had been acted upon then I would have rated the apartment at 10/10

The view to Holyhead mountain was inspiring to wake up to in the morning. The shower was fab and the dining lounge very comfortable. There was a huge and very useful fridge freezer. It made an excellent base for touring the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Please do think our comments suggest we were unhappy in any way, however a few things that could be better; as someone else mentioned, the mattresses aren’t comfortable, we managed by adding a spare duvet under the bottom sheet."

A mirror above the main bedroom dresser would be good. The apartment was clean, although the sofa made me itchy, I think the fact you allow dogs (which is great) inevitably means dog hairs are present, I confess I’m very sensitive and react to pets. Maybe the cushions could be hoovered? We liked the location despite initially being worried it may be noisy along side golf course, it was actually very quiet. Thanks for a great stay, first time we’ve been to the area, we’ll be back.

  • "The apartment was clean ."

. the mattresses have springs sticking up which are uncomfortable and noisy. We were left with one J cloth and a tea towel .. in other self catering apartments there have been a welcome pack with milk and fresh juice and sachets of tea coffee and sugar and cleaning products in the cupboards. This has nothing we had to buy washing up liquid and bin bags and toilet rolls etc not even any spray cleaner for the worktops had been left. These wouldn’t cost a lot to be left for use. There wasnt a mirror in the shower room my husband had to shave using his phone camera. We had next doors dog wandering into our garden where we had a dog too. Little boundry fences would be good to keep pets safe. Little inexpensive touches would have made a world of difference.

No lamps so have to have main lights on .Beds and pillows really need replacing not suitable for a good sleep . Kitchen table and chairs could also do with being replaced as table wobbles and chairs are a mismatch. Little things could make this apartment fantastic.

  • "On the first night there was a banging on the roof and on further investigation it was noticed that the guttering from the adjoining property had partly broken away from its mounting to the wall which left it suspended which in turn was banging against the roof of the Braid apartment ensuring we had no sleep that particular night."

The wind was particularly bad that first night which didn't help matters. I rand the telephone number provided for the property owner and a young lad came to look and by the time we had come back to the property after our day out the issue was fixed. unfortunately some of the channels on the TV in the property didn't work which was probably due to the wind causing issues with the aerial or signal. this wasn't resolved during our stay which didn't bother us but thought i should mention it as your next guests may not be so obliging. i must also add that the young lad that did come down to the property to fix the guttering issue was very polite and courteous. Thank you for such a wonderful break in a great setting.

  • "The apartment was clean and tidy, but fairly basic."

More suitable for people who are going on a golfing break to use as a base and eat out. The mattresses in both bedrooms need replacing as the springs have gone. The grass outside was cut on a regular basis, but the edges needed trimming to make it look tidier. It would have been handy to have a couple of bin liners,so we wouldn't have to buy some. Overall the apartment is suitable for a short break and within walking distance of Treaddur Bay,where there is plenty of places to eat out.

  • "2nd time in this property and it’s great for our needs."

3 adults and one small dog. Always hot water and a large garden with benches to use. Laundry room is located in the property Which is helpful. Cost and comfy and clean. Only minor issue is the lack of crockery and glasses which we mentioned in the review last year but had not improved. Also the pans need replacing as the non stick is peeling which is not good. Such a minor and relatively inexpensive solution would really improve the facilities.

.reminded me more of a hostel with basic facilities— bedroom floors were still sandy and chest of drawers were dusty and vacuum cleaner clogging up the wardrobe so you couldn’t hang clothes - as stated in previous feedback both toilet seats were loose and could cause an accident if the guest was elderly .. obviously this haszard has been ignored by the owners - basic equipment in the kitchen not even providing oven gloves and poorly stocked cupboards so you really had to eat out - the weather was superb so we spent our time outdoors enjoying the sunshine.

. Comfortable bedrooms with enough storage for a week away. Master would benefit from bed side tables. Always hot water and heating was good if required. Laundry room available with washer , dryer and ironing board, but no iron. Large lawns surrounded the property. Clean on arrival but did find a pair of socks in one room. And the freezer needs defrosting . No shaving sockets so take an adapter , Toilet seat remains unfixed. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper . Kitchen with sofa and a small dining table. Limited crockery and glasses if there are 4 people staying. We were called on the arrival day to be advised that we could arrive early which was welcomed. Ate at the Sea Shanty and White Eagle both of which I would highly recommend Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend A few minor improvements could be made as mentioned above and a bbq would be a good addition. A welcome pack would also be a nice touch

The onsite golf course has a lovely restaurant. The apartment was ready early and lovely and clean on arrival. The house keeper was exceptional asking us how we would like the beds etc before arrival and letting us know we could check in early. The apartment is well decorated and finished, all mod cons. Two bathrooms a real bonus in 2 bedroom apartment. My only criticism is a personal choice, the beds were a bit too firm for us, but that is an individual thing. Would definitely recommend and use again if returning to the beautiful island of Anglesey.

The lack of over bath shower in the en-suite bathroom was inconvenient for the couple in that room: 2 couples sharing the apartment need 2 showers. The bathroom had a small mirror hung for a tall person. Toilet seat broken in the en-suite requested a fix but I was told it was a ‘bad’ fit. Things to improve: Dressing table mirrors (see bathroom comment) more crockery (dishwasher not eco with only 4 of everything). Only 2 dining chairs. Wardrobe in the en-suite room was storage for the hoover/brushes etc limiting space. The beds were very comfortable and other facilities great. These comments are intended as positive feedback to improve it.

The bedrooms were lovely. Huge comfy beds, luxury bed linen , and nice shower room and bathroom, plus very warm and cosy. It is by the golf club and a longish walk to the beautiful beach, fine for us dog walkers but others need to be aware. The only ,inor grumble was the lack of crockery and cutlery. And The upcycled furniture seemed out of place, the table wobbled, a chair didn’t match and the drawers kept sticking! But we had a lovely week and we’re very comfortable.

  • "The accommodation was broadly what I expected."

The big issue was cleanliness the fridge, one of the toilets, the shower and the floors were not clean. There were black hairs everywhere which I assume came off a person as many of them were very long. I find it impossible to believe the floors were even brushed and washed. I'm not a clean freak but if you walked bare foot you could feel the dirt under your feet. No recycling. Small thing but would be good if accommodations were numbered so you don't have to try the code at each door.
