  • "Lovely cottage."

We arrived just after the recent snow and the cottage was warm and cosy and it was a nice surprise to see some Christmas decorations in there too The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed. Although we’ve been to Whitby many times before we had underestimated the slope to get into the house and as two women over 60 we might not have chosen this if we had realised but it was absolutely fine. We used the (50) steps at the side of the path to get in and out and and didn’t have any issues. Would happily book this cottage again

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Steps Cottage, it has to be one of the best."

Everything is well equipped, top quality and so well thought out with all information required. It is comfortable, cosy, traditional but up-to-date, fabulously placed with stunning views in the old town. Highly recommended and we would love to return one day.

  • "Booked this cottage for the views and it didn’t disappoint."

Very comfortable bed and seating area. Very well equipped kitchen for a small space. Shower panel could be wider and a nonslip mat in the bath would be helpful. A security light would be a good idea on the patio, for sitting there on a night time, as the lighting on the 199 steps weren’t on. Lovely quaint place to stay with some of the best iconic views in Whitby. I would definitely recommend.
