The Byre is a walker’s paradise, with 1100 miles of footpaths in the North York Moors National Park, two of which go through or next to the property.
Many of the walks are challenging, but there are also gentle walks around, including in our own 42 acres of hilly woodland and rough pasture.
The Coast to Coast Walk, the Cleveland Way, and the Lyke Wake Walk all pass along Hasty Bank just about half a mile above the property.
There is also fantastic cycling in the area, although much but not all of it requires either strong legs or an e-bike.
