  • "This is one of 4 apartments in an old townhouse but fully modernised and very recently decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard."

    It’s in the attic with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and (high) beams and a lovely view across to the abbey. It’s in really is all mod cons with an automatic bean to cup coffee machine- simple to use and the instructions are in the drawer below. There is also a hot water tap, so you don’t have to boil a kettle. (We did realise this, but only after complaining the lack of kettle! :D ) Not being used to such things (bumpkins!) we had to Google instructions but super easy when you know how! The kitchen was small but well equipped. The fridge has a small freezer section for ice cubes and small items. Obviously this being the attic, there are two flights of stairs to climb, but worth it for the view and the ceilings! At the time of our stay, this was a new listing, so there was not yet a users’ guide to the property. We would have appreciated some guidance about recycling and maybe a designated bin. Also, more than two teaspoons and another large mug and a frying pan. The bath in the bedroom was another novelty for us, but an enjoyable luxury with bubbles supplied. The L shaped sofa was very comfortable. The beds were quite high and soft- very comfy. As well as many windows there are velux windows with remote controlled blinds (the ceilings are so high!), so the apartment is filled with a wonderful light, like an artist’s studio. Thoroughly recommend this apartment for a centrally located, luxury stay in Whitby.

  • "Lovely property."

    Lots of stairs, but we don't mind that - but could be a deal-breaker for some clients. Lovely views, within walking distance of everything we wanted. My only complaint was the one toilet roll for a 4-night booking!! Easily solved by a trip to the Co-op, but an unexpected oversight.
