  • "Lovely quiet well-maintained development with great access to miles of walking right from the door, a nice welcome and very practical: free wifi, lots of storage space."

The cottages are of their time but it's good to hear the new generation of owners plan to sensitively modernise, without losing the charm of the old estate buildings, complete with lots of swifts. One thing to note for just Pansy Plot is that neither bedroom has openable windows or ventilation due to the conversion style - not usually a problem in Northumberland but made the heatwave a little less easy. Our stay was very good value for money and we would definitely go back for another short break.

  • "The accommodation was lovely, it was spotlessly clean."

The beds were comfortable and so were the sofa and chairs. It was very warm, and the large windows let in a lot of light and warmth from the sun. It’s all on one level which was great. The setting was stunning, if you followed the gravel drive up the hill you come to a footpath that leads up the hill and has some great views once you walk up to the top. We would definitely visit again and would recommend to family and friends.

  • "The holiday was perfect the only thing missing no opening windows in the bedrooms and the living room setting and armchair were not comfortable to relaxing in the evening."

  • "We thought the bathroom was in need of refurbishment."

The wallpaper was peeling in small areas, we could not work out how the heated towel rail operated, a shelf above or either side of the sink would be useful for somewhere to put things eg toothpaste, toothbrushes etc, and also a hook or rail adjacent to the shower to hang your towel on rather than on the floor while showering. Other wise we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped for our needs, and was clean on arrival.
