  • "Lovely comfortable cottage in a lovely area."

Very dog friendly. Nice restaurants and pubs.

  • "A lovely, quiet retreat."

Cosy, well equipped and the utility room was a real bonus. I especially loved looking out onto the huge back garden (which the dogs loved) and across the fields to the sea. We definitely intend to return.

  • "Very nice lodge, very quiet and easy to access major road for days out etc."

It was also nice and warm all day and night with the heatpump system which I had doubts about how efficient they are. Would recommend Sykes holiday cottages for self catering holidays, in fact we already booked our next cottage for next year.

Such a quiet spot, with beautiful countryside. Everything was very clean and tidy. The utility room was perfect, especially with the dogs. I would highly recommend this property in such a pretty part of the country with so much to do and see.

  • "A very well equipped cottage, clean and comfortable, with the inspiration of a raised decking outside the French windows."

Here we could sit and take in the superb view of rolling countryside and the sea in the distance. Our dog enjoyed wandering round the large enclosed paddock and we could easily keep an eye on her. Rural peace and quiet but also well placed for access to the coast and places of interest, including some nice restaurants!

  • "Lovely peaceful cottage in beautiful location, highly convenient for visiting the local area."

Property had everything we needed for our stay, spotlessly clean and loved having the washer and drier. I think it would benefit from one extra armchair as there is just one 2 seater. Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be returning.

  • "Lovely cottage, ideal location."

A few simple adjustments would be beneficial ie No clock anywhere, missed the lottery lol so easy to lose track of time there. A full length mirror in the hall would have been nice and relaxing with a drink would have been better with a pint and gin glass. We found the bed very uncomfortable but I guess thats personal preference. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

  • "We would book again."

We felt that being a new set up the property lacked a little bit of character but over time this will develop. Bedding was too warm for our liking even with radiator off and windows open, so different options with sheet etc would have been appreciated.

The lodge was wonderfully clean and very well equipped for cooking while staying. It was quiet and had beautiful views of the sea in the distance. The garden was enclosed fully for our dog. We had a great stay and would hope to return in future!

  • "One of the nicest cottages we've stayed in."

Clean tidy and warm, comfortable and quiet. Could do with a grab handle in the bath shower area, just for the less nimble oldies to climb in and out of bath/shower. Sea houses down the road and sea views weather allowing. Loved it cheers.

  • "A lovely cottage in the countryside close to many local attractions."

Very well finished internally with everything you need for your stay. The utility room is a bonus for feeding/cleaning a muddy dog! The kitchen is very well equipped and the living area is nicely furnished. The patio doors lead out onto the decking with steps down to the grassed area, which, as stated still needs some work but will be lovely when the weather allows work to be done. The space is very secure for a dog to go out safely. The only problem I had was that the bathroom cabinet must have been fitted by a very tall person as I could only see the top of my head! I would definitely recommend this cottage.

It had obviously been recently refurbished. It was very warm and comfortable and although we didn’t need the log burner it was nice to have it on a bitterly cold night. Having the utility room was great and would have been even more appreciated for the dogi in wet weather . We would definitely return..
