  • "We had occasion to stay at The Dairy twice in the space of three weeks."

On both occasions the cottage was spotlessly clean, fully equipped and unbeatable for peace and quiet. The owner was nearby if needed, and she was extremely friendly and helpful. The dog walking area and enclosed front garden was an added bonus. Highly recommended.

The owner Di, was friendly and was available if we required any information. The location suited our stay as we we're visiting Aviation attraction & Museums in the area. The road outside was a little busier than we'd expected, but considering the majority of the traffic was farm related it stopped at a reasonable hour. So not really a problem. We had a wonderful week traversing the County. Thank you Di . Regards, Nev & Sue

Fi was a fantastic host, availavle when needed and checked in throughout the week. Secure walled garden for the dog. However wouldn’t be suitable for escape artists or jumpers as right next to a busy road. Stylishly decorated and every need catered for. We took our dog, Oscar with us and as the courtyard garden was enclosed he was perfectly safe when we opened up the doors to enjoy the weather. Di the owner was a wonderful host and did all she could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Can’t rate The Dairy highly enough and we plan to return to further explore this lovely part of the country.

Our host Di was very welcoming and helpful. Despite the 7C outside, we were cosy and warm throughout. Comfortable bed, new large bathroom and full kitchen. We couldn’t have asked for more. Easy drive to Lincolnshire towns. This area is a mobile black spot but we only used wifi while in. Fantastic five nights! One day, we’ll be back!

  • "Important things first - We would recommend to anyone!"

Hosts Di and Gill are lovely and could not do enough for us. Lovely little cottage, immaculately clean, everything you will need for a few days - week away. This is a new conversion, everything is spotless and new but tastefully converted in a sympathetic way. Kitchen, dinner, living area is a nice size ( just right for 2 adult + dog or toddler).Entry is by a double French door into this area with uncluttered floor space in the entry way. This was very handy for the dog crate, shoes etc. Everything you need in the kitchen dinner for food storage and prep, with space to move around. Please note -cutlery is stored in a pull out section under the hob. Living area incorporates a 2 seater settee, rocking chair, TV and a nice wood burning stove. There are also electric wall heater in each room so we did not require the stove. Bathroom is spacious with walk in shower which has both over head and standard shower.Good pressure and temperature. Heated mirror which is useful. Nice large comfortable bed sat in a spacious room with wardrobe storage. Outside space is a walled and gated area ideal for small dogs comprising of a stone flagged seating area which runs the full length of the cottage and a semi circular stone chipped area with flower beds. Two nice pubs serving real ales within a mile - 2 miles both of which serve good "pub grub" at reasonable prices. Other pubs and a Chinese restaurant in the local vicinity. Ideally placed for both Lincoln and Newark.
