  • "The property has lovely views over the canal."

    It is very comfortable. However you have to bear in mind that there is a steep set of stairs up to the apartment and I did manage them whilst I was there, but I did struggle together up there.other than that it was lovely but if you have mobility problems it’s not suitable.

  • "We had a very comfortable few days in The Grain Store - the location suited us down to the ground; quiet location, excellent countryside/canalside views, pub across the road, cafes and shop within 10-15 minutes walk."

    All the basics were there with maybe a few minor points worth noting; it's a bit light on wardrobe space and clothes hangers, no shelf space in the bathroom for toothbrushes etc and the TV isn't internet enabled, none of which would stop us returning in future. Our stay coincided with the second heatwave of 2026 but The Grain Store didn't bake us as much as our house does!

  • "The location is great, however the accommodation is disappointing."

    All brown and beige, cheap lino on the kitchen and bathroom floors, lack of wardrobe space, no shelves in the bathroom, uncomfortable sofa and armchair, beds look very oldfashioned - not what you'd expect for the money spent. Cleaning equipment left in the apartment's hallway. Lovely views, and staff very pleasant.

  • "The grain store at Wrenbury Mill sits above the chandlery and gift shop and alongside the canal by the bridge."

    There are lovely canal and boat views from all windows but particularly from the main bedroom. Lovely and quiet (Feb half term). A perfect base from which to explore both near and far. Some lovely canalside walks - great for dogs. Friendly people. Well stocked local shop. Good pub Dusty Miller across the bridge and great ice-cream at Snugbury's near Nantwich. Had a lovely stay.

  • "Delightful apartment next to several canal walks and lovely pub."

    Apartment was very clean, light and airy. It does however have quite a narrow staircase up to it. Small shop 10 minutes walk. Might benefit from selection of leaflets for places to visit etc as several nearby are closed Mondays and Tuesdays!

  • "Lovely friendly helpful staff, interesting place to be, even on wet days, watching the coming and going of the boats."

    The stairs are a bit steep so difficult if you have disabilities.

  • "A beautiful apartment, decor and facilities were excellent."

    Couldn't fault this property at all. A lovely place for a peaceful break away with the advantage of having a pub over the road with great food and beer! The canal offered lovely walks and a stream of boats to watch, especially the road bridge.

  • "Great team of ‘can do’ people running a customer focused tourist holiday facility."

    Well positioned for long countryside walks (great with dogs) whilst being within 10 minute of Nantwich town centre. The silent entrainment of passing narrow/canal boat traffic was a delight. Could not have asked for more. Well equipped and maintained accommodation don’t need dishwasher/ washing machine/tumble drier - it’s a holiday!!! Will definitely return.m
