10 Customer Reviews

  • "A lovely little top floor flat with everything we needed and perfectly located for exploring Buxton and further afield by car."

    Reviewed by Susan5.0Oct 2024

  • "First the positives: Very clean, comfortable and roomy."

Other feedback: The address is written as 13 Eagle Parade. For people not familiar with the Buxton finding the address would be taken as firstly, find a street called Eagle Parade, the find street number 13 by following a series of house number eg we see number seven then progress along to 9 11 to come to 13. Well, there is a street called Eagle Parade but looking for 13 as described does not yield an apartment block. It turns out the 13 is the apartment number inside the unnumbered building. A clearer sign or description would have helped. Other than that, all good.

  • "A very smart and comfortable flat in an excellent location."

We were there at the weekend, so parking was easy. Instructions from the owner were very clear and the lift worked perfectly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Our second stay in this property with 6 other friends, and another booking with family later in the year."

Plenty of space, very well equipped to a high standard - no MFI furniture here! Plenty to do in Buxton, good restaurant recommendations in the info folder.. Car parking is a bonus too.

  • "A lovely spacious property in a central location."

    Mrs Susie MorrisseyApr 2024

  • "This was a splendid property in which 4 old school friends (women of a 'certain' age), thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break."

It was comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean and provided almost everything one might need, including some 'sweet treats'. We had only 2 quibbles; there seemed to be no instructions for the Induction hob on the cooker - we found them 'online' and there was no encouragement or facilities for recycling. We found some, outside. Otherwise, excellent. Thank you. Sally Carr

  • "We stop here every year the apartment is lovely well maintained and very comfy."

The only thing this year there was no placemats, ( if there was we could not find them) so when eating on the glass top table had to be so careful, this wasn’t a problem to us but would of thought the owners would want to protect the table.

About the location

BUXTON

Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
