  • "The bungalow was as described on the web site, in a lovely setting and not far from towns and walks."

    The property owner was very helpful especially when we had snow and was attentive to our needs. We may book a return visit when the weather is warmer. Thank you Rachel for our lovely break, it’s just what we needed.

  • "This cottage is perfect!"

    It was everything a guest would need provided by Rachel, the property owner. The location is conveniently situated about halfway between Ludlow and Kidderminster, with lots of things for tourists. The idyllic setting in the Common is quiet and peaceful. The landscaping at the house is lovely and the surrounding countryside views are beautiful. It is obvious that Rachel has put lots of love into making our visit wonderful.

  • "Excellent holiday home."

    Loved the decor,the garden,the extra goodies,the log burner and the situation,right on the common.Perhaps a mirror in the smaller bedroom would be good.Also more clarification of the bins and bin collections.the bin man came on Wed but it was too late for us to put the relevant bin out.these are not criticisms.we loved it

  • "This lovely bungalow has been newly refurbished and equipped to a high standard."

    Its location is brilliant with direct access on to common land with miles of footpaths to explore. The surrounding area offers lots of opportunities for days out. The welcome pack provided by the owners was much appreciated, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Highly Recommend."

    Lovely clean and comfortable bungalow and we loved the power shower with built in radio! The property is set in a peaceful rural location and good for exploring nearby areas. Our dog loved the wrap around garden to explore and walks from the door. We enjoyed the privacy of the patio area at the rear. Thank you Rachel and Tom for an enjoyable stay.

The pretty little town of Cleobury Mortimer is situated in the rural heart of South Shropshire. The town offers a refreshing selection of individual shops, a local brewery, pubs and restaurants, including The Lamp, Gauthama, and The Stable Tavern, but is most famous for its unique church, which has a peculiar, crooked steeple. Continue onto Ludlow, where you will find the magnificent Ludlow Castle, Linney Riverside Park, the charming Ludlow Market held weekly, closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and five Michelin Star restaurants, Forelles, Mortimers. French Pantry, Charlton Arms and Old Downton Lodge, perfect for foodies! Further afield, you’ll find Bridgnorth, an idyllic town split into High Town and Low Town, home to the Severn Valley Railway, Bridgnorth Castle and Gardens, Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, and a variety of cocktail bars, pubs and restaurants. Tenbury Wells and the famous World Heritage Site of Ironbridge are also within easy reach. There is excellent walking locally in the Clee Hills and the Wyre Forest, and horse riding, golf and fishing are available close by. Just a stones throw from Cleobury Mortimer is Clows Top, a charming village with a small shop and post office, and an excellent butchers. A mile further down the road is Colliers Farm Shop and Café and there are numerous pubs and cafes in the villages and hamlets that surround Clows Top.
