  • "A comfortable stay for all 5 of us, including our 8 month old grand-daughter."

A little more storage in the bedrooms would be good. We had a problem with the boiler on the last evening, but the owner, Russell, came out very quickly to sort it out for us.

  • "I thought the place was overpriced bearing in mind it has only one bathroom for six people and no washing machine which would be a help to families and pretty standard for that type of property."

I personally did not like the old bike stuck onto the wall with what reminded me of old bandages wrapped round it although I accept decorations are a matter of taste. Also the top bedroom has two windows but no blinds on them which should be in place to block the light at night time

  • "We had a really good time at One Eight Three."

The location and the property were amazing. The owners were really helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this place. The only thing that we would recommend for the cottage is blinds for the sky lights in the top room. The views from the room were amazing, but the sun comes into the room in mornings and lights up the whole room, making it hard to have a lay in if you wanted one.

  • "Only a couple of negatives ,no downstairs toilet,if 4or 6 people then one bathroom is not sufficient ,especially if old or infirm ."

no instructions how to work heating,or any appliance, could ring owner to find out but a welcome book with all information would have been useful, good house as a base for our needs this time .

  • "We found the photos very misleading and were disappointed to find ourselves very cramped."

The sitting room and dining area are the same size as a typical small homes sitting room alone. The beds were uncomfortable, there was virtually no storage and. no washing machine. The washing machine's absence was clear from the advert when we looked, but we sort of expected it having rented many times at a similar price etc. If you are travelling with a family and a lot of things, this is not the place for you. Having the neighbours walk across the patio windows was not expected, even though they did politely and studiously respect your privacy. We had to book another cottage and move after the first night.

Many thanks for voicing your grievances regarding this property, we are so very sorry that your holiday was not all you hoped it would be. Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Property Owner

Great host. Would recommend. The cottage is really well presented - a well planned space, light and clean, stylish decor with quirky flourishes. The host was helpful and communication was very good. Great views from the terrace and the loft windows. Perfect for a short break.
