Description

A lovely one bedroom, stone-built modern cottage with fantastic walks from the doorstep and great views, conveniently located between Bakewell and Matlock on the outskirts of the village of Rowsley.

Next to the owner’s home, this spacious detached property is ideal for couples looking for a romantic retreat.

On the ground floor there is a modern kitchen with large dining table, a utility room and a cloakroom.

Step down a few steps into the very roomy and tastefully furnished sitting room.

It’s a lovely place to snuggle up together and watch a movie however there’s a large comfy sofa each if you fancy some alone time.

On the first floor is a double en-suite bedroom which is tastefully furnished and enjoys oodles of space.

From here there’s a door out to a large roof terrace leading on to a raised decked area with patio furniture.

This is a fantastic place to sit and watch the sun set with uninterrupted views to the pasture and woods adjoining the garden.

There are fantastic walks straight from the door and there’s a paddock for exercising your canine friend if they’re not already worn out from a good day’s walk.

With something always going on in nearby Chatsworth, Bakewell, Matlock and Matlock Bath, this is a great base for exploring everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer.

We arrived early and got checked in by Hellen (Owner) on first day.

First impressions was of a very spacious property however we were concerned for our little Italian Greyhound needing to be kept on a lead at all times as the busy A6 main road would have been a big risk if let loose. Notwithstanding this issue we enjoyed our stay with nice comfortable sleeps and the excellent tv with a good selection of channels to choose from. We were out most days walking so a good base to stay. A nice bottle of wine and biscuits from the owner was much appreciated. A very booked up property in a nice location to enjoy.
