  • "We had the most amazing stay at clandyke cottage."

    We couldn’t have asked for anything more, the cottage was lovely! Clean, cozy and comfortable. One of the highlights for us was the enclosed garden, the dogs adored it, with one taking in all the smells and the other thoroughly enjoying the two balls she found. This removed all the stress of chilling out in the hot tub whilst being away with two dogs. It was absolutely brilliant to explore Ludlow and come back to the cottage to enjoy the hot tub and have a chilled evening in front of a cozy fire. The goodies that the host left us definitely helped with the cozy evening. Thank you for everything.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at this cottage."

    It was really spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean — everything we needed to feel right at home. The back garden is absolutely stunning and was perfect for our dogs to run around safely, we enjoyed eating outside in the sunshine and making the most of the peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was the star of the show. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive. When we mentioned how warm it was, they kindly brought us a parasol, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made a big difference. Overall, a brilliant place to stay — we’d definitely recommend it and would happily return!

  • "The house is in a great location, for being able to go out and explore around the local area."

    The house was clean and the welcome package of milk and biscuits appreciated. The secure garden was amazing for our dog to be able to run around in and catch some sun. The only small things we found is for a week away, we were only given 3 dish washer tablets and one loo roll in each bathroom. I don’t mind buying the extra loo roll but having enough dish washer tablets for the week would have been nice.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage."

    Ideally placed for walking and exploring Shropshire. Hot tub and stove were welcome additions. Garden was secure for our dog and even had some tennis balls, which were very popular. Oven ran hot and the hob was missing the digits to guide heat levels.

    We had the pleasure of staying at the cottage for 3 nights for a short break , we had our two dogs with us and they loved the garden , Hot tub for relaxing The areas are secure and in quiet village , Thanks to the hosts for leaving us some supplies on arrival , There is a local premier up the road if your walking , although Tunbury wells is down the road 10 mins by car with great food places and a big tesco to get supplies , we would stay again Thanks

  • "Very nice cottage, garden was great for our 2 dogs."

    Hot tub was amazing. Very comfy beds and lovely quiet area. Loved the fact they had left a welcome package of essential bits ie butter, bread etc. Only negative was that we arrived in the dark and with the storm it was extremely difficult to find. Sign on the door was very small and hardly visible especially as the door is set back in the hedge!!

  • "We loved the cottage and found it perfect for our purpose."

    We particularly liked the secure garden and hard flooring downstairs as we have 2 dogs. The central position with regard to visiting other places that we know meant that no journey was too long. The beds were comfortable and we really liked the bath. Our only minor niggle was that no tea pot or cafetiere was provided (I bought a teapot from a charity shop) and no small sharp knives. We have already recommended it to family and would return.

  • "We had a lovely few days away in this lovely cosy little cottage Clandyke Cottage."

    It has everything you need for a home from home feeling, however we thought the hot tub had far to much in the way of chemicals added. I know it has to be clean but wasn't expecting it to make our skin feel sore and bleach our swimwear, that was only complaint, so I'm hoping someone will check on that for the next guests attending, but overall our stay was very comfortable. I would be happy for a return but maybe in the summer ☀️ months where I think it would be lovely

    Welcome pack and fresh flowers were a nice touch, thank you. Nice quiet location and the hot tub was a real bonus. The owner Craig was very friendly and helpful without being overbearing at all. Looking forward to returning again soon! :)

  • "The cottage was lovely, and despite the main country road the other side of the hedge, it still felt secluded and wasn’t too noisy at all."

    It was great to be able to sit out in the garden on the decked area and watch all the birds coming and going. The garden was very secure for our little furbaby. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Craig is very friendly and gave us some recommendations on places to eat and visit.

  • "We have had a wonderful long weekend at clandyke cottage, we were greeted by a lovely welcome pack of essentials and a vase of fresh flowers."

    Beautiful cottage and a fabulous garden, hot tub was super, we also had the best weather ☀️The garden was perfectly safe for our dogs, with no escape routes which is exactly what we need with small dogs. Nearby pub called Bennett’s end inn was dog friendly and did a lovely Sunday roast.

  • "We had a really nice stay at Clandyke Cottage."

    It was exactly what we needed and the weather was an added bonus too! The enclosed garden was amazing, especially for the dogs! The only downsides: There is only one couch in the living room which isn’t the most comfortable. Ideally it could do with 2 couches. Also the property could do with having more than 4 of everything in the kitchen, there was limited plates etc. Also it is located directly off a busy A road and located over the road from a football field which is noisy when being used. Having said that, overall I would recommend this property for a few nights away! It’s ideal for couples with dogs.

    We got a huge welcome basket with bottle of wine, bread, milk, butter and fresh flowers. We have enjoyed our stay very much exploring the area at day time (Safari zoo is our favorite) and resting in hot tub in the evening. Highly recommend Clandyke Cottage. The property

Clandyke Cottage is a charming character cottage in Clee Hill, Shropshire.

Suitable for families or friends; with two bedrooms, a woodburning stove, and an enclosed garden with a hot tub, you can also bring along two dogs on your adventure.

Enter the neat kitchen with a variety of appliances to assist you in preparing a home-cooked meal, the dining table is located in the conservatory, offering lovely views of the garden as you enjoy your meal.

The sitting room displays wonderful character, with deep windowsills, exposed beams, and the woodburning stove lit up amidst the exposed brick fireplace, sit back and read a book or utilise the Smart TV as you unwind on the sofa.

There is a handy utility area in which to store your wellies or put a wash on, with both a washing machine and tumble dryer available, with a convenient shower room also located downstairs.

Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms; choose from a spacious king or a bright double room.

If you want to relax with a soak after a long day of activities, there is a stylish family bathroom also located on the first floor.

In the beautiful garden, you will find a hot tub to relax in and socialise, or you can have a spot of lunch at the outdoor dining table.

Start up the engine and head to Ludlow Castle, where you can opt for a guided archaeologist tour, or stroll around the castle yourself, they even host a musical event in the Summer called Concert in the Castle.

Ludlow is also home to a Food Festival so be sure to look out for the dates or there are plenty of tea rooms in which to enjoy a slice of cake whilst you take in the beautiful views.

Families may want to visit Treasure Island, an amusement park with thrilling rides and arcades to enjoy, if you prefer some quiet time you can relax by the river.

Bodenham Arboretum provides a nature walk, see a little farm on the trail, you may spot some donkeys, or pumpkins if you visit during Halloween, just be sure to pack your wellies.

If you want to venture further afield visit The Iron Bridge, a symbol of the Industrial Revolution, there are museums and a charming village to explore nearby at this World Heritage site.

Clee Hill village is situated in an elevated position on the slopes of the Titterstone Clee Hill which is the third highest hill in Shropshire at 1749’. It is on the edge of Clee Hill Common, in the heart of the beautiful South Shropshire countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is set amidst renowned scenic walking and cycling country. Only 6 miles away is Ludlow, one of the most beautiful towns in Britain; its medieval street pattern remains almost intact and provides a fascinating backdrop for the town's regular street markets, held in the shadow of the 13th century castle. Ludlow is renowned for its shopping and restaurants, as well as excellent tea rooms, pubs and inns. It also has many food and art festivals and remains a wonderful town to explore. Within easy reach are Church Stretton known as Little Switzerland, beautiful Shrewsbury, Leominster, Hereford and Cleobury Mortimer, as well as popular attractions such as the World Heritage Site at Ironbridge Gorge, Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park, Acton Scott Historic Farm (seen on BBC2), Berrington Hall and the scenic Cardingmill Valley in the Shropshire Hills.
