Huddersfield 6 miles
A pleasant, picturesque town in West Yorkshire. Mirfield is a community-based town, they hold the Mirfield Show once a year as a non-profit organisation for the families of the district, there is also the Mirfield Food and Craft Fayre. The town boasts a church dating back to the 13th century and was the birthplace of famous actor Sir Patrick Stewart. The River Calder runs through Mirfield, providing a stunning canal. There is a good range of shops and pubs in the area as well as some delightful buildings. The large town of Huddersfield is a short drive away and is certainly worth a visit with a good range of amenities. The Peak District National Park is also within easy driving distance and is a must-visit while you're in the area.
