We loved the cottage and the location suited us perfectly.

The owners Brian & Rosalind were very friendly and gave us lots of helpful Recommendations of where to visit. The cottage was immaculate a home from home would return again in the future

The cottage and garden were homely. It's ideally placed to visit all the Castles, Halls and Palaces, the history in the area is outstanding. St Andrews was a lovely place to walk around too, the independent shops were a treat. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Cottage is in a quiet, peaceful location, perfect for exploring all Fife has to offer all within 30 minutes or so. Homemade jam and fresh eggs were a lovely treat too. Highly recommended.

the accomadation was very clean and warm kitchen was well equipped for your stay living room seating very comfortable bed sheets were very clean and comfortable bed toilet clean good shower was up a long drive and quiet the owner as put alot of work into make it a high standard would book again Rosalind and Brian were very friendly and helpfull made you feel at home very relaxing

Very peaceful and quiet . Hosts are lovely and available if needed . We had everything at hand for a week away . The cottage is spotless and cosy very homely and modern . Hoping to be back at Easter .

The cottage felt spacious and homely. Rosalind and Brian lived next door and were ideal hosts.

What an absolute gem, such a peaceful location away from any hustle and bustle.

Brian & Rosalind (plus the adorable Bob the dog) are the perfect hosts, there if needed but not obtrusive, and the eggs, jam and milk most welcome on arrival. Will definitely book again if we are looking to stay in the area.

We had an amazing week here.

The level of attention to detail is what makes it special. Cleaning supplies, washing up supplies, an ironing board if needed was all there. We usually take our own as they are not always available. Rosalind and Brian are super hosts and eggs from their chickens and homemade jam was super. They also checked in with us half way through the week to make sure we had everything we needed. The bottle of milk in the fridge was fantastic. Just what you need after a long trip. So quiet and peaceful for a complete recharge. Super comfortable. Everything was thought of. A bonus is the train; we had a day out to Dundee. We used the bus as well to go to Perth for the day. The people are lovely in the area. For those who want to know, Cupar has a Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. They also had a B & M and a Costa coffee. We are hoping to go back to Katmoget Cottage soon and I don't often say that. Thank you Rosalind, Brian and Bob the dog for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.

Katmoget Cottage is in excellent condition and has all the facilities to make your stay very enjoyable.

Lovely cottage, perfect get away

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Katmoget cottage while in Fife to visit family and friends.

The cottage is clean and comfortable and is well equipped with everything you could need. It is situated in a very quiet, peaceful position just a short drive from Cupar and all the local amenities and is a good base for visiting all that Fife and surrounding areas have to offer. The private garden is an added extra though, unfortunately, the weather wasn't good during our stay so we were unable to take full advantage of it. The owners, Rosalind and Brian (plus Bob the dog) could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Katmoget cottage and we look forward to our next stay. Nice cottage with very helpful owners

Well equipped spacious clean cottage in a lovely quiet location with the bonus of being a short drive from Cupar and shops etc.

Plenty of local information provided plus Brian and Rosalind are friendly and approachable with a wealth of local knowledge. Being more or less centrally located Katmoget Cottage is ideal for exploring Fife.

Spacious cottage and very well equipped.

Quiet location along a farm track but only a couple of miles from Cupar and Ceres. Very friendly and helpful owners live nextdoor. Conveniently situated for St Andrews and East Neuk coastal villages and also well worth a visit are Falkland Palace and Hill of Tarvit Mansion.Further away but still accessible are Scone Palace and Dundee. Enjoyed our holiday and would certainly recommend this cottage.

Katmoget Cottage is a lovely place to stay, really quiet and the owners are next door if you have any queries.

Two problems we ( me really) came across. The bed was not very comfortable and the other problem i came across was the shower over the bath, personally i would not stay there again because if my husband was not there i would not have been able to use the shower. I think if they put a walk in shower and got rid of the bath more people would stay.

Katmoget is an idealic cottage in a lovely location.

The owners couldn't have been more welcoming. The cottage itself is extremely well presented and I fact like a home away from home. Comfortable, well equipped and exuding that little something that says the owners take pride in the role. Highly recommended!

Katmoget Cottage helped provide a real taste of Fife.

Found it to be an ideal, central base for getting around the county. The cottage is comfortable and well catered for. Experienced a quiet, country vibe. A great place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended. The hosts were welcoming and they gave many good pointers for places to visit.

I couldn't fault the cottage in any way.

And it's in a great location for getting to favourite places like Tentsmuir, St Andrews and Kingsbarns. I really appreciated the Christmas tree etc.

One of the best cottages for sure that we have ever stayed in. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and it was a pleasure to meet one of the owners, Rosalind. She made us feel very welcome. Rosalind and Brian, the owners, who live next door, are friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The cottage's location makes it an ideal base for exploring various parts of Fife, including St Andrews and historic fishing villages, and further afield to Dundee, Angus and Perth. Cupar, the former county town of Fife, is less than 10 minutes drive away and handy for shops and a railway station for car-free travel to Dundee and Edinburgh, etc. Dorothy & Graham B

A very comfortable, well furnished cottage in a nice quiet area.

Brian and Rosalind could not have been better hosts.

The cottage was in a very peaceful location with a nice outside garden to sit in.

The cottage was also clean, warm and comfortable and an idea base for exploring the surrounding areas. The WiFi was good as we could stream tv programs etc. We particularly liked the little touches like the welcome eggs, milk, homemade jam and tassimo coffee pods to try with coffee machine.

We had a very peaceful but active holiday in this centrally based cottage.

Visited Hill of Tarvit Mansion; St Monan’s along to Crail with fish and chips in Anstruther; train trip from Cupar to Dundee to visit V&A (excellent free photography exhibition) and the McManus Museum; Falkland Palace; Wemyss Pottery in nearby Ceres (leaving with 2 smiling Rose Cabbage cats and a mouse!); walked up the steep but satisfying Hill of Tarvit on our last day and were rewarded with panoramic views of the coast and surrounding countryside; had an Indian takeaway from Saffron on Bonnygate Cupar (we phoned then picked it up) - very tasty and we’d recommend it. Rosalind welcomed us on arrival and had provided a DVD player at our request along with providing a cafetiere so we could use our filter coffee - she went beyond her role and was so friendly and accommodating and obviously wishing us to have a trouble free holiday - her eggs (from her hens) and jam were delicious. We will recommend the cottage to our friends as an excellent base to visit many areas of Fife easily.

Rosalind and Brian were absolutely perfect hosts along with the one and only Bob the dog .

The welcome pack of coffee ,milk, home made jam , eggs from their own hens etc was most welcome . Thank you hens for laying them . The cottage is a perfect gem . If you like a rural location this is utterly the right place for you to stay . Walks around the cottage area are stunning . Take walking shoes / boots .The views are utterly incredible . Wildlife in abundance to be seen ( or heard re the Owls in our case !) The Katmoget sheep are entertaining to watch . The enclosed private garden is wonderful. We were very lucky with the weather during our stay. Lovely to be able to dry the washing outside on the line . It’s only a short drive down the road to Cupar to all the shops ,restaurants etc. Fisher and Donald’s fudge doughnuts or coffee tower are a must every time we visit the area and discovered there is a shop in Cupar . The Greenhouse Bar and Grill’s Sunday lunch is highly recommended- phone and book and reserve your roast though . The information re places to visit in the area , recommendations for other places to eat is all in the cottage . It’s easy to travel and explore the coast . We will most certainly be returning at the earliest opportunity.

Katmoget is a very clean, comfortable, nicely furnished cottage and well equipped with everything you could possibly need.

It is reached along a farm road off the A916 just 2 miles from Cupar. It's easy to get to and well situated for visiting all the tourist attractions in the area. Rosalind and Brian live next door and are very friendly and helpful if you have any concerns during your stay. we had a lovely week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katmoget as a place to stay.

Brian and Roselind are very approachable and helped us settle on our arrival she showed us around and there were fresh eggs, jam and milk provided. We were informed of the local area and suggested interesting places to visit. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. It had a lovely private garden and behind the cottage was a medieval tower which added to the historical interest of the area. We will most definitely be visiting again. Val and Stephen. Burnley

Ich wurde von den Vermietern sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen und habe mich im Cottage sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Es ist sehr geräumig und verfügt über alles, was man braucht. Auf der Terrasse kann man wunderbar die Sonne genießen und entspannen. Das Cottage liegt absolut ruhig und dennoch ist man schnell im nächsten Ort, wo es mehrere Supermärkte, Restaurants usw. gibt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

We had a lovely holiday at Katmoget Cottage.

The owners, Brian and Rosalind, were most friendly and helpful. The cottage was very well equipped and presented and ideally situated for exploring the Fife area.

The cottage was warm, comfortable and more spacious than the pictures show.

Approx 300 yards up an old coaching road, but no problem with access and parking right outside. Very peaceful. Ideally situated for visits to National Trust sites, beaches and fishing villages - all within a short drive. Rosalind and Brian were very welcoming and live next door should there be a neede to contact them. Local supermarkets 10 mnutes away by car in Cupar if you need to shop.

As we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Rosalind, who, with her husband Brian, own and maintain this lovely cottage and live right next door.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, well decorated, warm and comfortably furnished. There is a fully equipped kitchen which includes everything from a coffee maker to a washing machine. This is an excellent base from which to explore the local area although the cottage is so nice you might just want to stay in and relax!
