"Had a wonderful relaxing stay."
Lovely and cosy, just what we needed, thank you for the lovely welcome pack much appreciated.
-
"A very comfortable stay and lots of thought gone into providing everything we needed which was much appreciated."
The setting is peaceful and tranquil but well placed to visit the surrounding area which is stunning. The only thing we missed was some outdoor furniture at the back of the property . We were welcome to use the garden at the side but it would be even nicer and convenient to sit just outside the house in the private yard at back. But generally an excellent stay and owners were brilliant. Lovely meals out at The Falls of Dochart in Killin and The Inn on The Tay plus Watermill Café at Aberfeldy ...all dog friendly! Had a super time overall and would recommend.

"A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful area, we got a lovely welcome off the owners."
The welcome pack was full of local goodies of high quality, the property was spotlessly clean and really well equipped, the decor has been done tastefully to a very high standard and it is very comfortable, we could ask for nothing more, this has to be one of the best places we have stayed and we will be back.

"This is a lovely cottage, small but perfect for up to 4 people."
Beautifully decorated with furnishings in great condition. There is a log burner which we didn’t have to use- there are electric radiators throughout- very modern and very hot, the property is clearly very well insulated as we didn’t feel the cold from outside despite on occasion freezing November winter temperatures. Plenty of TV channels- if you want to watch tv, also a Bluetooth speaker. Dog friendly, take a torch for evening walks in winter months (although there are some within the cottage) The In on the Tay is dog friendly and within walking distance as is The Highland Chocolatier. There is a small Spar shop/post office also nearby. The rural location is perfect for escaping city living. The owners are a family who live on site, very friendly and helpful should you need anything (which we didn’t) I would definitely stay in this cottage again, and most definitely recommend Verdi or the attached cottage Puccini.

"The property was furnished and equipped to a very high standard."
The welcome pack was really good, giving you enough for a nice welcome meal and a good hearty breakfast the next morning. The property was well heated and made for nice cosy evenings, while watching an excellent array of terrestrial and Internet channels. The property is located in a small village close to a Spar shop come Post Office and is within a shortish drive (9 - 10 miles) to other towns and villages, with more amenities and tourists attractions. There are plenty of walks from the property, including a river walk along the banks of the beautiful Tay. Car parking at the property is good with, plenty of space for a number of cars. The owners who live on site, are very welcoming and helpful and can certainly give plenty of local advice and suggestions of places to visit. I would certainly recommend a stay at this property and look forward to returning at some future time.

"Verde Cottage is a beautiful home from home."
Fixtures and fittings were good quality and the welcome package was very much appreciated after a long journey. Host was very informative, friendly and we loved the dogs too. *Bed was comfy and lots of storage in the room. *Lounge seating was also very comfy and the TV package was better than anywhere else we'd stayed. Watching a movie or the latest sports, in the evening was a great way to unwind after a busy day. *Bathroom downstairs had a big bath which my husband loves. The only issue was the ceiling being a little mouldy (probably needs better ventilation over the shower) and the sink taps were very stiff. *Kitchen was well equipped and the mobile island made up for the lack of worktop space for dishing up etc.. *Outside space was better at the front. The rear entrance door lock was very stiff so we didn't use the outside space to the rear, which could be a lovely private space for outside dining or reading etc.. *Location was spot on and right near the river where you can paddle or watch people canoeing. A very short walk to the nearest shop and pub/restaurant. All we could hear was birds chirping and the river rushing. It's also a great place for star gazing. It's so dark at night we could see so many stars. I could've stayed out all night if I had a telescope. Exactly what we needed and couldn't have predicted the sunny hot weather which also helped. "Very clean comfortable cottage."
Fantastic welcome pack of local produce. Situated in a lovely village and places to eat nearby Great base for visiting all areas of Scotland No mobile phone signal on 3 but WiFi was good. Unfortunately the only view was a shed and the owners house across the courtyard.

"What a great cosy week we had at Verdi cottage!"
Thank you for the amazing welcome goodies! They were the best of any cottage we have ever stayed in! Amazing walks right from the door and so many things to do close by, you just have to book! We can’t wait to stay again soon!

"Lovely stay in January."
Family were so lovely and welcoming .The kitchen was a tad tight but fully functional. Archie our retriever enjoyed playing with the other dogs especially Logie. Great log fire and bed very comfortable. Very clean and cosy. Would certainly stay again.

"Verdi cottage is simply the best self catering cottage we have ever stayed in."
The attention to detail was remarkable from the incredible welcome pack, the free supply of logs for the wood burning stove, the most comfortable bed you could wish for, right down to a grapefruit spoon which my wife brings with her as we have never ever had one supplied. We will be back…

"We had an amazing time at Verdi."
Location is fantastic, 2 mins walk to shop and 5 mins to two fantastic restaurants. Roxanne and Athole made us feel most welcome. The house is very cosy and has all you need to enjoy your stay (including fluffy bath robes). Pictures don’t do the house justice. Welcome pack was amazing too. Already planning our next trip back.

"Fab-u-lous."
We enjoyed a lovely week galavanting around the Strathtay region. There is plenty to do and see in and around. The nearest attraction being the Highland Chocolatier. What was not to like! Our hosts were absolutely lovely. The accommodation was very clean, very comfortable with everything provided. I’m sure if there was something that wasn’t there and was needed it would have been magicked up on asking. Our welcome tray was a true taste of the region. With ample locally sourced goodies. Thank you for a lovely peaceful week.

"Prior to our trip to Scotland, Roxane the host, phoned in advance to ask what we would like in our welcome pack and what activities we were interested in so she could e-mail details in advance."
Having stayed in numerous holiday cottages over the years, this is the first time we’ve had a welcome call and thought it was a lovely gesture. Directions to the cottage aren’t clear on the Sykes website but we phoned Roxane and she guided us in. Verdi cottage is bijou, but very well appointed with quality furnishings. Freshly cut flowers, bathrobes and fluffy white towels, give it a luxurious feel. I am not a dog lover and when a cottage is advertised as ‘dog friendly’ I am normally wary, but I needn’t have been. Verdi is spotlessly clean with not even the slightest whiff of dog. The welcome pack was without doubt the best we have had in a holiday cottage. Full of fresh quality local produce and bottle of good quality wine . The bathrooms are lovely and are serviced by a huge boiler which meant we always had an abundance of high pressure hot water. The main bedroom is advertised as having a super-king bed, but it is in fact king-sized. While we were staying we asked for extra towels and a couple of items that were missing in the kitchen. They were provided without question. The cottage has access to a lovely side garden with a table, chairs and BBQ. There is also a separate laundry house with washer, dryer, detergent and an abundance of spares (cleaning fluid, bin liners, toilet rolls etc.) We also had access to a log store and Athol, the owner, offered us use of his golf clubs. All at no extra cost ! Roxane, Athol and their family live in the house across the courtyard and were on hand to recommend local activities and places to eat. We spent most of the week in and around Loch Tay at Kenmore, which is stunning and great for water sports and open water swimming. A tip for those visiting the area is not to assume that you can just walk in to a pub or restaurant and get a drink/ meal. Many places are suffering from post-Covid staff shortages and are closed for part of the week. The Inn on the Tay and the Grandtully Hotel are both very good, but booking several days ahead is essential if you want to eat anywhere half decent. The hosting most definitely made our stay at Verdi cottage, nothing was too much trouble and we felt like part of the family for the week we stayed. We were genuinely sad to leave and will definitely return.

"Beautiful cottage with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay."
The owner was so helpful & had great recommendations for activities & places to eat. Absolutely loved the welcome pack & that you provide Highland soap company toiletries in the bathroom. The only criticism I have is that dog policy needs to be on your listing information. It’s too late to have it in your information pack & would have meant I wouldn’t have booked (dog must sleep in the kitchen & isn’t allowed upstairs or on furniture). We loved meeting Isla & Dougal too & had a wonderful stay.

"Directions to the property are very poor."
Property itself is very good, comfortable beds and and quality furnishing. Some of the dishes could be more practical, for example soup and/or breakfast bowls of better size. Welcome food box was good quality but a little butter would have been welcome. It would be useful if the folder with information about the hob etc was on view and not in a drawer. I had no idea how to operate the hob and wasted a lot of time searching. These are all small issues that can be easily resolved and I would certainly consider returning.

"Lovely, well equipped, dog friendly cottage in a great location."
My husband and I booked this cottage with his parents staying next door in the adjoining property. The owners were incredibly helpful and offered us lots of recommendations for exploring the local area. We would definitely return!

"Verdi is perfectly situated in the middle of the village, just a short stroll to some lovely bars and restaurants."
The cottage is nestled in beautiful gardens where we saw red squirrels and a variety of birds including a cuckoo. It is extremely comfortable, like a home from home. The hosts were close by to resolve any issues - for example we asked for extra towels and were provided with them quick smart. All in all our holiday to Verdi has rivalled any vacation abroad.
-
"Hosts went above and beyond to ensure any issue we faced were resolved as soon as possible to ensure our stay was comfortable."
Excellent accommodation which I would use again and recommend to all.
