Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food, lovely area !

Comfortable , excellent airy large lounge.

The shower was a good size and worked well. Would have preferred a full length mirror. Proximity of the Tavern a real boon and very welcoming staff and excellent food and so to bed - hvery comfortable. Maureen and Colin.

Lovely comfortable accommodation situated in a quiet area within easy reach of Perth and Dundee amongst other interesting towns and villages.

The adjoining pub serves wonderful food and all staff (and dogs) are very welcoming and friendly. We had a very enjoyable week’s stay and would have no hesitation in returning and recommending to anyone.

Great apartment, which has been furnished to a high standard and has everything you could need.

Situated above the pub/restaurant, which is a really great place to eat, but we were never aware of any noise from inside the pub. As the apartment overlooks the beer garden, you can hear some noise when people are in the garden, as you would expect, but we didn't have anyone making excessive noise when we were there. I would gladly recommend this as a place to stay.

The Cavern at the Tavern is a beautiful, cosy accommodation!

The hosts at the Tavern were incredibly welcoming and the entire stay was wonderful. The Cavern is very clean and well equipped, as well as being the most dog friendly accommodation we've ever stayed in. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay with their pooch. We're already trying to figure out when we can go back!

It was a very laid back atmosphere. A good spacious area complete with home made treats. A great menu at the tavern and delicious food and good hospitality. Good walks nearby for our dog.

Initially we were apprehensive about booking accommodation attached to a pub but decided to give it a go given the good reviews it had.

And we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived the owner made us welcome and took the time to show us around and answer any questions we had. The accommodation was welcoming, clean and very comfortable and had everything we could want. We have stayed in many places in Scotland and are happy to say this is now our "go to" place when visiting relatives in the area. Oh, and as for the pub restaurant food, it was the best we have enjoyed in many years of meals out.

From arriving to leaving the owners and staff couldn't have been friendlier, the apartment was spotless with everything you need and added extras, it is decorated to a really high standard and so comfortable.

The French doors are a lovely bonus on a sunny day. The bar food is fantastic and reasonably priced, the area is a joy to drive around and really handy for shops.We highly recommend staying there, we will be back.

The property was lovely, if a bit dark downstairs due to lack of windows, which was understandable, but not apparent from pictures (lots of lights though). Excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities downstairs. Would have really appreciated a toilet on the first floor. Spacious sitting room and very comfortable bedroom. Having the Tavern next door for a drink or a meal was an absolute bonus, food was delicious. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay, the apartment was so comfortable especially the bed.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. The Tavern has amazing food at very good prices, my husband can recommend the Tunnock sundae.

The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and the food served at The Tavern was exceptional.

This was our second stay at the Cavern.

Great accommodation and location. All types of walks, a few from the door and many within 15 minutes or loads within 30 minutes. We like fairly hard walks so a great location even though on a map it might not appear so. Just perfect for a couple with a dog or two. Everything you need to look after yourselves for a couple of weeks and quite spacious. The owners kindly let us bring our two dogs and they are very helpful and thoughtful, willing to help with anything. Having the Cavern pub right next to you we think is brilliant and the food is very very good. The only thing I would change is we would rather have a washing machine than a dishwasher because we do a lot of walking so get muddy. Looking forward to going back again.

Great place and area to stay for a break, accommodation lovely and spacious, food and staff at the Tav restaurant/bar excellent, we'll definitely be back for a 3rd visit.

Made us feel right at home! Ate in the Tavern a couple of times and the food is outstanding and reasonably priced! Great location to explore Perthshire and Angus.

Had a lovely stay very happy with cottage facilities and meals at the pub were great made all the better that our dog could stay with us.

An idyllic spot for a restful break.

The accommodation is just perfect with the pub a few steps away. Owners and staff super friendly and helpful. Extremely dog friendly, walks from the accommodation itself and so many places within a short drive. We will definitely return.

The apartment was amazing, had everything you could have needed!

We were welcomed by Alan when we arrived and he showed us round, Alan and Clare are fabulous hosts, nothing was too much for them. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay whilst exploring the wonders of Scotland.

Lovely place to stay, couldn't have been more helpful, the food was amazing-word of advice don't forget to book especially at the weekends and Tuesday nights which is steak night.

We will definitely be back. We had a lovely drive on the snow trail through the Cairngorms, every weather under the sun including snow lol. Stone haven is about an hour away, Arbroath for some Smokies and a lovely trip to Pitlochry as well and we also did the alpine coaster near Edinburgh which was real fun. It was a perfect base for seeing all the area

Cottage was lovely but just needs a few wee touches of maintenance

The flat was warm and cosy and by far one of the best we have stayed in.

The pub next door is a must visit, the food is outstanding. Alan, Clare and all of the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Property was twice as good as a recent £3,000/ week property in Windsor i booked - this was a 1/10th of the price.

Probably the first time in 5 years that my rented property has exceeded the details & what i expected. This property is fantastic & other than a little night time noise on 1 or 2 days i could not fault it at all- i would encourage you not to book so i can book a few more times before it becomes too popular. Property includes everything you could wish with a lounge bigger than my one at home- stunning bathroom.

Very nice accommodation with spacious and comfortable lounge and bedroom upstairs, and well equipped kitchen and large bathroom downstairs.

Alan the host was very welcoming. The configuration of the flat means the bedroom is directly above the eating area so can be a little noisy with general hub bub, music and clearing up after hours.

Excellent property, owners were very courteous and also owned the pub right next to the property which served AWESOME meals, our only downside was the stairs, my wife has mobility issues and struggled with the stairs, this did not detract the property in any way.

Great walks for our dog. We ate every night at the tavern and the food and service was excellent. Very friendly place to stay and would return.

Loved the property, great size livingroom, very comfortable.

Everything you need. Food in the pub is excellent, plenty of choice. Host Alan is very welcoming and helpful. We had dogs with us, plenty walks round about for them. Will definitely go back

Really nice property for dog owners and anyone looking for access to good walks - many really good ones within 15-30 min drive.

Only thing i missed was a washing machine but I’m sure if i asked they would have helped as the property is above a pub and the owners are extremely nice and helpful.

We stayed here over new year's eve and our stay here was amazing from start to finish.

Due to the time of year, the pub was fully booked for food but the staff were very friendly and managed to accommodate us. The owners were great with us and offered some brilliant advice on where to walk, both locally, and in the Grampian mountains with our dog. The property itself was very clean, modern, and comfortable. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the owners, and the staff in the pub for an amazing break.

My wife and I stayed with our dog over October half term and thought it was fantastic.

The pub food was exceptional and all the staff were really friendly. Worked brilliantly for us as we could leave the dog in the Cavern as we had our meals in the adjoining Tavern!

We enjoyed our stay except for the noise from adjourning Tavern.

We put it down to the time of the year with it being between Christmas and New Year. Lots of moving of tables late at night and lots of shouting and loud music up until 12pm. Didn’t expect it to be as loud. Having said that, the owner was very friendly and helpful. Apartment was very pleasant and if it wasn’t for the Storm there would have been some lovely walks locally for our dog.

Hosts just the best! Looked after us so well during storm Babet and made our stay memorable. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic property very well decorated and furnished.

Andy and Claire were fantastic hosts. My only suggestion is the bedroom could easily fit a king size bed as the double is really small and the mattress was a bit firm but would not stop us from going back.

Great place to stay.

Only negative thing was the mattress was very uncomfortable. Everything else was spot on clean warm and having the tavern next door was a bonus

Cottage was fabulous.

Food at the pub outstanding and the staff was excellent and the service was even better. The cottage’s location was in a excellent location for the site seeing we wanted to do.

We thought there was a downstairs bedroom from the property detail.

The bathroom was downstairs & my wife is partly disabled so it was a bit difficult for her during the night getting up & downstairs.

Cavern was beautiful and furnished to a very high standard. Owners were lovely and very helpful. The Cavern is also in a great setting. Can’t rate this enough. First class all the way. If you want to book for meals at the Tavern it gets very busy, so book before hand if you can.

The property is very comfortable, well-equipped and nicely furnished. The lounge and bathroom are particularly good with plenty of space and storage. There is a secure area for the dog. It was lovely to have the doors to the balcony open and enjoy the scenery and the birds singing. The owners are very helpful and friendly, and the pub serves delicious, realistically priced meals. We would definitely return!

Lots of space and good facilities. Owner was super helpful. Would recommend.

Internal stairs unsuitable for older people and elderly dogs.

Very steep with no handrail. My elderly dog could not climb stairs and fell twice while trying. My husband also struggled with stairs as no handrail. We were booked in for a week and left after 1 night. Flat was lovely for younger people.

Staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating.

A very nicely decorated cottage to a high standard.

One of the best tvs we have had in a cottage .Very nicely furnished lots of storage in kitchen however not enough cutlery and mugs and cooking equipment to be able to fill dishwasher had to hand wash .No tin opener that we could find . Very friendly owners and staff in the pub .A nice area within easy reach of St Andrews , Dundee and Scone Palace . We didn’t realise our garden part would be accessed via the fire door by quite a number of people and children coming through from the pub .Good job our dog was friendly,as he was out there a lot .

The hosts are very friendly and obliging. It is attached to a nice pub and they do welcome dogs so expect a little noise. Would visit again.

Owners were very friendly as were the staff in the tavern. We ate all but one day at the tavern where the food was second to none.

We found the downstairs bathroom a bit inconvenient during the night but we were aware of this when we booked. We were made to feel very welcome. I only scored 8 for recommendation as I am always very reluctant to give advice to people on holiday accommodation.

Excellent property in a beautiful location , adjacent to the village pub which serves excellent food and drinks .

The property is spacious with very comfortable lounge area with comfy seating and all modern technologies needed fast broadband and smart TV . The bedroom is also spacious and very good blackout blinds enabling a good nights sleep .Kitchen has all the appliances needed and necessary utensils. Hosts are very friendly and helpful if required. Highly recommended property.

This property was beautifully furnished and in a lovely location.

Ideally situated next to the owners pub. Alan, the landlord and owner of the property, was very welcoming. We ate in the Tavern for most of our stay as the food was superb (especially the steak pie) and very reasonably priced. There are also all the facilities required in the apartment for home cooking if you wanted to do so. There are walks from the doorstep which were ideal for our two dogs. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property to anyone and hopefully we can visit again in the future.

We had a fantastic week in Scotland, the property was really lovely clean and tidy and in a great location for a base to explore Scotland we had lovely weather as well has great food at the tavern also well equipped with all we needed.
