"Lovely cottage with everything we needed for our weeks stay."
Lovely touch food items left for us and the vase of fresh flowers from the gorgeous garden. Great base for exploring the surrounding area and also close to the 'Red Cow' pub which do great food. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

"A pretty cottage with beautiful gardens."
Cottage well equipped. Welcome hamper was much appreciated. The Red Cow pub, serving good food, is close by. There is also a well stocked community shop in the village run by helpful staff. Easy walks around the village, plus the "must do" climb to the Knoll, affording good views. We enjoyed our break, thankyou Rosa and Richard

"This little cottage is everything we hoped it would be - and the Red Cow Pub just a few doors away is a great asset."
The village is charming , with some easy walks (and up to the Knoll which is not so easy, but you are rewarded by a fantastic view!) and a convenient community shop that sells everything you could possibly need, served by friendly volunteers. The wildlife in the garden and beyond is just amazing. Thank you to Rosa and Richard for the generous welcome hamper and the care and attention given to providing everything in such a delightful manner.
Thank you for such lovely feedback and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Best Wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"The cottage was in a perfect location, very quiet and the surrounding gardens were beautiful."
It was nice to walk into a cosy warm cottage on a chilly February afternoon and the welcome basket was much appreciated. It was very clean and comfortable and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for our stay and we very much enjoyed using the cosy log burner in the evenings. We enjoyed visiting the Fox and Goose Inn in Brent Knoll with friendly staff and superb quality meals. Rosa was friendly and was available if we needed anything. We look forward to staying again.
Thank you for your complimentary feedback. It sounds like you had a very comfortable stay and were well looked after. We look forward to welcoming you back again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Lovely location and house, easy to find, well set back from road, which isn't busy anyway."
Main roads easily accessible to go to attractions and towns. We did find the armchairs not to our liking, and disliked the feather quilt and cushions, awkward if you are allergic to them. A few items could be added in kitchen. eg Pyrex bowl, tin opener, (we left a basic one in the drawer),few more mugs, and a biggie for us, a small freezer, which would have been handy. Never used the dishwasher, not enough china, it is a large one and would have run almost empty. A back door curtain would be a help in the winter months, to keep the place warmer. We couldn't find a light switch for the stairs on the ground floor, so it was dark going up. These were awkward when you got to the top, so if you need the loo in the night, be sure to take a torch and take care. Saying that, we managed fine, just had to be careful. All in all a very nice place to stay, a quiet, pretty garden, with some wildlife and sheep to watch from the kitchen window. Easy parking next to cottage, off road in front garden. Thanks to the owners, I hope they don't mind our comments.

"We were extremely happy with Rosa our host."
She couldn’t have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was amazing , so clean and private, just what we wanted. She suggested places we could go to and the wine, bubbles and nibbles were a great welcome. I would highly recommend staying at the Cottage and everything we needed was there

The property
The Cottage is set in the owner's grounds in the village of Brent Knoll in Somerset.
Dating back to the 1800's, this inviting cottage has been thoughtfully-restored to welcome two guests for a splendid break in this quaint corner of Somerset.
Upon arrival, enter through the electric gates to The Cottage.
Step through the front door into the living room and enjoy the nature of this period property, complete with flagstone flooring and a tasteful, woodburning stove, set in an inglenook fireplace.
All facilities are close to hand, including the refurbished kitchen with a stable door out to the secluded garden.
Climb the wooden staircase to the large characterful bedroom, containing a sumptuous king-size bed, a zip/link that can offer the flexibility of twin beds on request.
Outside, you have a delightful, well-planted garden with seating at both the front and rear.
A hundred yards down the road, you will find the Red Cow, where you can enjoy a selection of local ales and ciders, whilst good food is also served at both lunch and dinner times everyday, however, pre-booking is heavily recommended due to the pub's popularity.
A small, but well-stocked community shop is half a mile away, whilst a Co-Op store is located slightly further afield in Berrow.
Also within easy walking distance in Brent Street is the West Croft Cider Farm.
Make sure you see John for some local Somerset farm cider!
At The Cottage you can escape!

A quaint, rural Somerset village, Brent Knoll, formerly known as 'South Brent', rests between Weston-super-Mare to the north, and Bridgwater to the south, lying just east of neighbouring Burnham-on-Sea. An ideal retreat for walking and cycling, enjoying a multitude of footpaths and quiet lanes, whilst also being in easy reach of the M5 and an array of beautiful coastal and beach walks. The village is best known for The Knoll, a 137 foot high hill that dominates the landscape that surrounds the pristine Somerset Levels. Nearby, and within quick access of the village, you can explore the many wonderful, rural nature reserves that reside nearby, including the Steart Marshes, Westhay Moor, Ham Wall, Avalon Marshes, and the Bleadon Levels, whilst the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty positively-brims with magnificent limestone hills, popular with hikers and spelunkers alike. In Brent Knoll, visitors can stock up on homely essentials at the fabulous Brent Knoll Community Shop, whilst a delicious meal can be had at The Red Cow pub or The Fox & Goose Hotel Bar and Restaurant.
