We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday home in Watchet, Somerset.

The property is spread over three floors. On the ground floor there is a very well-equipped kitchen, hallway and comfortable lounge. The first floor has a family bathroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom which can be converted into a double. On the second floor there is a twin bedroom and another double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Both the family bathroom and en-suite had recently been refitted to a very good standard, and the whole property was clean and well presented throughout. The views were fantastic, particularly from the rooms at the front of the property, with sea views visible from the upper floors. The beds were generally comfortable. The only exception for us was the single-to-double bed on the first floor, which wasn’t quite as comfortable as the others. This wasn’t really an issue for us, though, as there were beds to spare and we were only four adults. The property is dog friendly, which was a real bonus for us. The secure courtyard was ideal for our dog, and there were even two large dog crates provided, one on each floor, which was a very thoughtful touch. Communication with the owner was excellent. They were prompt and helpful whenever we had any questions. Parking is available across the road, with permits and entry fobs provided, making parking straightforward. There were gas pipe roadworks taking place directly outside the property during our stay. The workmen were very accommodating, and as we were out for most of the day, it wasn’t really a problem for us. Obviously, this is temporary and outside the owner’s control. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The property was clean, well equipped, comfortable and dog friendly. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for somewhere to stay in Watchet.

Excellent location in a lovely small harbour town.

Highlights were the fossil beach (we found loads!), East Quay studios and local attractions like Dunster Castle. Barrier controlled off-road parking was a real benefit. The property itself is well located and quiet but close to town centre. It is spacious and generally well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Small niggles - we didn’t find the beds comfortable (but that’s a personal thing), some of the pans in the kitchen are burnt out and need replacing and the table and benches in the kitchen are a bit cramped and hard to get into. Chairs might be better. None of these things would put us off and are easily fixed. Thanks for a great break.

Great central location in Watchet, easy walking distance to the shops and train and bus stations.

Parking was really great with off street, secure parking just across the road for residents with the parking permit that was inside the house on arrival. Good size rooms and comfy with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Would only say there is one shower though as the second bathroom has a bath with a shower extension in it. Had everything we needed for a week and enjoyed staying in this area of Somerset.
