Hop Cottage

Cottage was homely and comfortable with a lovely bathroom.

Located in a charming friendly village. Good parking.

Hop Cottage is a lovely little getaway it has all the basics very peaceful with friendly people and some nice walks in the area without useing your car.

and Southsea 25 minutes away which we found to be a nice day trip.

We loved staying at Hop Cottage , in a lovely village and great location for visiting the surrounding are.

The house is very complete and comfortable. We made some wonderful trips to Jane Austen house and to Charleston, but we also sat in the garden a lot. Lots of birds to enjoy and even two red kites in the air right above our heads. There must have been a nest nearby. Interesting to know that Buriton and Petersfield are connected with the Bonham Carter family. Their very distant cousin is Helena Bonham Carter, the actress. We named Buriton the Miss Marple village.

Very nice welcome by the owners, nice and lovely treats for us and our dog.

Great location, nice garden especially with the extreme hot weather. Change of bedlinnen and towels after 1 week lovely! Nice contact with Darren and Emma when we met in the Village! Hop cottage was as described

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location.

Cottage well equipped. Instructions easy to follow. The bath and shower were wonderful - for the less mobile the bath is a little high-sided ( and the stairs can be a challenge - but to be expected in an old property.) Heating was great (watch the heated towel rail - extremely hot but perfect for drying towels). Two couples -we had a great few days in spite of rain every day and the cottage was a perfect place to come home to. We even managed to eat in the garden during one of the sunny spells. Highly recommended - would definitely come back when in the area - while health allows !

Lovely, well-equipped cottage.

Very cosy and quietly situated. All clean inside and clear instructions. A good base for walking.

Had a good stay but there's no gate so couldn't let dog out .

There's an awful smell it the house mainly in the utility cupboard and also coming up from sink think drain is blocked slept in bed first night and the bottom of bed came away from the frame put it back but thought it best to stay in the single be room so it was ok left a note for owner it also should be put on your website that shoes need to be taken off when entering the house not in the booklet inside when its too late as have cream carpets which aren't good in the awful weather when walking in and also the dog paws also the steep stairs sound be mentioned as im sure elderly people would find it hard and also should be in there that there is no upstairs toilet but got used to the issues and had a very peaceful stay up not having the upstairs toilet was a big thing
