  • "The property is spacious and has the feel of a grand house."

    The location is ideal as you can walk to the train station, the beach and into Tenby. Parking for 2 cars right outside was a big plus for us. The property is furnished well and has all of the things you need for a week away. There were a few quirks and a few things that needed updating as per other reviews but I would stay here again.

  • "Me and my family really enjoyed our time at Bay View apartments."

    The property is full of character and has all the amenities needed to make you feel right at home. There was an issue with the water pressure when the shower was on, which was extremely noisy so a bit of a nuisance. There was a ‘cheat sheet’ for the oven markings, however, it would help if this was located near the cooker as I only found it by chance. We couldn’t quite figure out which grounds/outdoor area we were allowed to be on, maybe this could be made clearer. Other than that, this was a great property, clean, cosy, great location, lovely views of the sea and would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

  • "The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and spacious, as a couple staying with grandkids 8 &10, it was ideal, and a good find in a good quiet location."

    The only minor issue was when the bath was run, there seemed to be a pressure issue, and the sink tap in the kitchen became noisy ??? I'm sure that maybe fixed already. Apart from that we had a great stay thanks, and we would definitely stay there again, and recommend it.

  • "A lovely place to stay."

    Beautiful location. The property is spacious and comfortable. The owner was friendly and gave us a bottle of wine as he was unable to fix the blind in the bedroom. There is a musty smell from the carpets in the hallway and the carpets need replacing. However this did not spoil our holiday and would recomend to others and would visit again.

  • "Really disappointed."

    The apartment had a bad musty smell and was dated. The carpets were stained and that badly worn that the grippers were coming through, actually dangerous!

  • "A beautiful and charming character apartment with lovely sea and garden views from 1st floor windows."

    The property is clean, warm and inviting with super comfy sofas and beds. The kitchen is well stocked with all the crockery, utensils, pots and pans, plus all the gadgets one needs. There is a lovely beach a short walk away which we enjoyed and also the train rides from Penally into Tenby (takes 4 mins) - which is a very quaint and pretty seaside town. The owners were easily contactable, friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week at Bay View and will highly recommend to family and friends. Thank you and look forward to returning!

  • "Bay View is a comfortable and characterful apartment and is supplied with everything you need for your stay."

    The living room is sunny and light and furnished in keeping with the age of the property and the bed is very comfortable. We appreciated the good quality towels and linen. However, there are a few things which need some attention. The cooker has no markings. It is not acceptable to have to cook by guesswork. While the living room and bedroom are warm, the bathrooms are very cold as is the kitchen. It would also be good to have a duvet more appropriate to the time of year rather than a heavy winter one. If these defects were addressed the apartment would rate 5 stars.

  • "Absolutely lovely apartment with great views."

    Very minor negative comments are bigger oven trays required for the oven (we always cook for ourselves when we're away) and the dial controlling the heat on the oven is very warn so you have to estimate what temperature you're cooking at. Otherwise, fantastic and we will be back

  • "Lovely village location but property greatly in need of a good clean, stained carpets in lounge and bedroom, very dusty skirting boards, dirty kitchen cabinets and drawers, miss matched cutlery, rusty old fridge freezer and dials on cooker unreadable."

  • "The Old Vicarage is a period property sited on a quiet elevated road allowing the sea to be observed from the living area windows."

    The first floor spacious apartment is well appointed with ample soft furnishings in the lounge and principle bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the linen was crisp and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and functional. The flat adjacent was occupied for a while and the owners commented that they could hear the kitchen cupboards closing in their bedroom. While some of the kitchen facilities need servicing, replacing or updating we had a very enjoyable week at the property and would book again if we come this way.

    Good bus and train service if you want them. A short walk to a lovely beach, you can also continue to walk along the beach to Tenby very easily.

  • "Fantastic fairly last minute find."

    Everything went like clockwork and we loved the property. Felt very at home straight away and could happily have taken the bed and main bathroom shower home with me!! Loved the walk into Tenby across the dunes and along the beach and the charm of Penally itself. Would happily come back for another stay sometime!

    We found everything was supplied for a relaxing break, the bed was very comfortable, parking easy loved the copper bath and loved everything in this truly lovely and beautiful home and it did feel like home.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay here over Christmas."

    Feels really spacious property, which is what we wanted, as we had different generations wanting to do different things at different times. Felt at home as soon as we arrived. Everything very comfortable, it was warm, nicely decorated, and in a really quite location with lovely garden, or sea views. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Would have liked some instructions on how to use the thermostat (if they were there we didn't see them).

  • "Peeling paint on windowsill in lounge."

    Dust in glass bowl in lounge. Dust on skirting board under radiator between bedroom and lounge. Dust and toothpaste splashes on faux swiss cheese plant in bathroom.Dust on lamps in twin bedroom. Stains on carpets in lounge and bedroom (totally unacceptable and offputting to look at ) .Dust on heater vent under cupboard in kitchen. Shelves in oven and grill pan greasy (a brillo pad would clean these). Would benefit from oven gloves in kitchen and matching cutlery and new place mats. On the plus side, lovely soft white towels and the apartment was lovely and warm.
