  • "This is our third visit to The Old Stables and Gill, the owner, has maintained the very high standards which she has set previously in providing accommodation which is warm, welcoming, very well equipped and in the perfect location to explore a delightful part of the country."

After a good day out, we always looked forward to getting “ home”, the best possible outcome for any holiday accommodation.

  • "The cottage was warm, comfortable and very welcoming."

Perfect location to walk into town or explore the surrounding area and it’s stunning scenery. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the welcome pack of wine, milk and Welsh cakes was very much appreciated. Loved the attention to detail such as the chocolate on the pillows, and the little quotes. The only criticism I would have is that you need some decent kitchen knives - the ones provided were next to useless which led to much frustration when prepping dinner. But, kitchen rage aside, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this romantic little cottage, it was just perfect.

Cullendar needed, especially in Summer fir salads. Otherwise a charming cottage and excellent value considering access to facilities .

The owner of the property has confirmed that Plas y Fron is the correct directions. The owner has advised that following street signs for Hamilton Street will not lead you to the property. The owner has also informed us that a colander is now provided at the property. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Two minor things to note, were the lever on the toaster wouldn’t stay down when toasting and the back of one of the chairs was worn, so had to be careful when sitting back. Otherwise, lovely character property in a quiet, tucked away area, but close enough to walk into town. Great location with distant view of the sea. Beautiful area to explore. Would stay there again and would recommend to others. Thank you.

  • "Very pretty cottage, and such a nice change from hotel rooms."

We felt quite spoiled with a kitchen, living room and loft in addition to the usual bedroom and bathroom. Great location, not far from the train station and close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Foot Path, which is what we came for. Stunning views, if you’re a hiker you’ll love it here. We met the owners as we were leaving, lovely friendly people. They added such thoughtful touches in the cottage - a bottle of wine and Walsh biscuits/cookies come to mind. We had to help the taxi drivers find the place, which was challenging since we’d never been there before. Not sure what you can do about that … send them all a map? We give the bed an 8 out of 10 for comfort and size, but everything else was perfect. Plenty of hot water, plenty of outlets (none in the bathroom though, is that a UK thing?), nice warm bedding, big towels.

Little patio space overlooking a pretty, well looked after, allotment with the hills and sea view in the background. The owners had even provided a sat nav in the kitchen cupboard. We already had one but very useful as there are leaflets with sights to see and postcodes underneath.

Cleanliness was excellent and everything you could possibly want for your stay was provided (note, there is no washing machine but that wasn't a problem for me). The wifi was good and streaming on the smart tv was faultless. The mobile signal was fine (I'm with Plusnet/EE) but it worked better in the bedroom. Although the available outdoor 'garden' space is small, it is still very pleasant to sit out there and appreciate the views across the allotments to the sea and Dinas Head ... and the birds singing too. A much appreciated welcome pack of wine and welsh cakes, plus milk, was provided. It's only a 10min walk into the town with a decent pub (Royal Oak) and takeaways nearby. There is a large Coop supermarket 5mins away by car. The Old Stables is a great base for touring Pembrokeshire, with most places you'd want to visit within a half hour drive, and Tenby is only an hour away. I spent a very happy week here and can highly recommend The Old Stables.
