  • "Fantastic location for Tenby and the beaches and we were very lucky to get free on street parking- places are limited."

The cottage was comfortable and lovely and warm. The garden was fully secure for the dogs and a nice little sun trap. There are quite a lot of stairs in the property that are hard and slippy so need to be careful - stairs down to kitchen and then the bedrooms are on 2 floors. The bath was lovely and big but no stand up shower and the hand held shower leaked through the kitchen ceiling so had to be very quick! Only one toilet but we managed ok. The kitchen could do with updating but it had everything we need. I would definitely recommend this cottage to physically able people and dogs (I had to carry my old greyhound down the kitchen steps). Thank you for a lovely stay, I hope to be back!!

  • "Beautiful comfortable house in a great location."

Well equipped and able to cook in lovely kitchen which opens onto a private garden that was well maintained. Very clean and warm and cosy to return to after long days in Tenby. We had great dry weather which made our trip even better. Free parking is tricky but after a couple of days we found street parking for 2 cars. The bathroom is well laid out and the lack of a normal standing shower was a challenge but we were aware of this before our arrival. I would highly recommend this property and would be our first choice when returning to Tenby. Wonderful place, beautiful beaches and scenery. Shops pub’s restaurants and places of interest on your doorstep. The only thing we noticed that was missing was an information booklet for guests, we find that this is a useful document for heating instructions and recommendations for Tenby. A visitor’s book would also be helpful to learn and leave reviews.

The only issue we had was the plug for the bath does not work properly. It is very hard to turn the knob to lower or raise the plug. I was the only one strong enough to turn it so had to do that for rest of family. Not a biggie issue & it did not spoil the holiday. Would book again.

Or we enjoyed a glass of wine in the peaceful, green courtyard off the well equipped quirky kitchen. We found a very near parking space on arrival and left car there for 2 weeks. The pretty town of Tenby with harbour, 4 beaches, shops, supermarket, cafes and restaurants all a stroll away. We enjoyed Florentino’s, Plantagenet, Twelve, Tap n Tan, The Bay Tree, Fat Seagull, Cafe Vista….. we arrived to a generous welcome food package full of delicious things. Comfy beds to snuggle down after a day on South Beach which is safe, accessible, great for paddle boarding and late nite fish n chip suppers. Coastal walks to Saundersfoot and Giltar point. A wonderful holiday packed with happy memories in a delightful home, would definitely recommend.

  • "A flawed gem I feel."

.. Being withing a couple minutes walk of both Sainsbury's and co op, the beach, car park and chippy is great. Nice little back yard which was ideal for our small dog. The house is generally well equipped. Beds are nice and comfy. Lounge is spacious and comfy. Wi-fi definitely a plus as cell signal is pretty hit and miss we found. Car park is close and only 25 for a week. Street is quiet in general Yes the listing mentions about the bathroom but in practice it's just not enough. Impossible for me to stand in the bath and the hand shower isn't really suitable for taking a shower. The ceiling/door heights are another issue as every door and landing passage had different heights or angles. Constantly ducking and weaving as you move around. I cracked my head sharply on the lounge one on the third day, as I misjudged the height while distracted, and it took a second day for me to feel normal again. Love the location and the house in general but for us it's a one time visit. Getting back from a day at the beach and washing all four of us plus dog just took so long. Really could also use a clothes line as the only drying rack is quite small and again not really suitable for a person house.

unfortunately the geography of the property does not allow a second bathroom and as mentioned the sloping ceiling does not allow a shower . We have been transparent in our description (The family bathroom offers an elegant freestanding bath and hand-held shower) and supplied an image of the bathroom , the property dates back over a century so naturally some door entries are smaller than others , we believe this retains the charm and beauty of the property , thanks for the feedback Property Owner

  • "Well appointed cottage in good location."

However, there should definitely be a second bathroom with a walk in shower and toilet. One bathroom is inadequate for a property that could accommodate six adults. Also, the existing bath looks attractive but is impractical. It takes ages to fill and uncomfortable to lay in. The hand held shower is difficult to use as you can’t stand up under the sloping ceiling, and it is very easy for the floor to get wet.

  • "Honestly the best place we’ve ever stayed."

Really well styled and everything you could want. It had the best of everything - the owners own a lifestyle shop in town (I could have spent every penny I own in there) - and you can tell that they have wanted to create a space that is comfortable with a touch of luxury - exactly what you want on holiday. We have two young children and they loved it as well. I’d probably recommend bringing a stair gate as there are a lot of stairs but even with a very inquisitive and independent 1 year old it was easy enough to manage. Access to town is fantastic (parked in train station that’s just around the corner) and there’s a little playground about 5 minutes walk away. Thanks for a really great stay and I have no doubt that we will be back in the future.

Even storm eunice didn't ruin Tenby for us, what beautiful beaches, cafes, bars, shops and all very dog and kid friendly. The cottage had everything we needed and felt like home immediately, we would absolutely recommend. We went to Heatherton theme park, excellent and the LC waterpark in Swansea, also excellent. We ate at the Harbwr, Qube, the Cove and drank at the lovely Tenby Arms. A great spot for cake and ice cream was Dennys? Down on the beach, a brilliant holiday.

Very close to town and beaches. Would definitely reccomend. The absence of a separate shower and loo did present some timing issues but for a week we ( a family of 5 with 3 teen girls ) managed! its a little bit quirky the way it has been done out .. The kitchen facilities are very good . Bedrooms are comfortable and a good size .. Downsides are that if the house had six people in it the one bathroom would be a problem as no separate shower or WC . Parking can be a problem we parked on the Station Car park 5 minutes away and paid £3 for the week . • "Perfectly sited for easy access to shops, restaurants and South Beach which was very handy for the dog."

Tenby is fabulous (it was our first of hopefully many visits) and I can't recommend Pembrokeshire highly enough. The cottage is comfortable but the glaring omission is the lack of a shower/2nd toilet with only a bath which would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues to negotiate. We were only 2 persons in the cottage but I can't imagine being able to have a comfortable stay if our 2 grown up children and their partners had accompanied us. Perhaps an outside shower with hot water might be an easy solution. While the cottage is comfortable and tastefully furnished, a little more attention to detail would help. There are no towel rails or hooks behind the bathroom door where to hang wet towels and more shelving in the bathroom would be useful. The basin in the bathroom is very small and trying to have a shave proved a challenge not made any easier with the lack of lighting above the basin. The kitchen/diner is a lovely space as is the enclosed outside patio. While the rustic dresser is attractive, it would be so much more practical if there were built in cupboards/shelves/drawers as the current packing space is very disorganised and there are a lack of microwave safe bowls. The lounge is comfortable with 2 large couches. An additional side table or 2 would be useful. Upstairs the bed that we slept in was comfortable but I did notice a lack of bedside tables in 1 of the rooms. Also a couple of the light bulbs had blown - again a lack of attention to detail. Although mentioned in information supplied and in other feedback, we had no problems with on street parking. In summary, this is a very well sited cottage and with a little more attention to details could be made so much better. If you don't mind a single bath and toilet for a cottage priced for 6 persons then you won't be disappointed. Finally the welcome hamper was most appreciated.

  • "Lovely interior , enclosed garden is a great bonus , kitchen is equipped fantastically and the bed are really comfy ."

The downsides with 3 adults and 2 preteen girls staying was not having a separate toilet , the bath/mixer shower was a bit awkward to use with the low ceiling and the echoing/creakyness of the wooden stairs, floor and latches on the doors . Probably would have got used to this after a week though and had the situation with restrictions in Wales not still been in place it may not have bothered me (stress level wise). However , it's ideally situated, lovely interior and a nice welcome package when you get there .

Nice and quiet but close enough to walk to everything. There is no parking allocated but fortunatley as the weather was so good we managed to park right outside the house and didnt use the car hardly at all. The house had everything needed including radio, hairdryer and all linen. it was so cool aswell on an evening and when we had had such warm days it was nice. The beds were the most comfofortable ive ever slept in. The one and only downside to the whole holiday was the bathroom. luckily me and my husband are both mobile so wasnt a major problem. However the bath is very deep and slippy needing a step to get in it. There is a shower attachment however you cant stand up as the ceiling is so low. The house really needs a shower. If the house was at full capacity you would find the bathroom situation very problematic. As i said though this was the only downside

It’s so close to everything in Tenby - 5 minute walk to South Beach and 5 minutes into town. There’s a Sainsbury’s really close by which was so handy given we were self catering. The house itself is lovely - finished to a really high standard and bright, light and airy. The decor was really nice with lots of little quirky design details which made us feel really at home. We had our dog with us and everything was ideal for her - a nice back yard that was secure and had seating for us when the weather was nice. The owners sent us a fact sheet / guide to Tenby and the house a couple of weeks before we travelled and it was really helpful, recommending local places to eat etc. The did warn us that parking on the road can be difficult as there’s no residents permit with the house, however, we didn’t find it a problem at all - we were always able to park on a nearby street if not the street itself. It was our first time visiting Tenby and we loved it - it’s really got all the right ingredients - beautiful beaches and lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be back and would love to book 5 Park Place for our return visit!

This cottage we were worried might be a bit small but the way the owners had designed the cottage made it actually really spacious and all the decor was very trendy and stylish that is made the stay even better than we might of expected. The bath was very stylish and I want that exact bath now. The whole cottage was extremely clean and with all the amenities you could need from a caffetier to mixing bowls- which was great as we were baking over Christmas. Everything seemed very new so I guess we were lucky. Good outdoor space too, we did not really use as it is winter but in the summer I can only imagine it would be fab for bbq’s! Only thing I would say we missed is an extra toilet and a shower as with a full house this can get a bit annoying But no way a deal breaker as me and my family would happily come again to this lovely cottage by the sea. Also would recommend for anyone booking this cottage to put your kids in the loft bedroom as the ceilings were quite low, however again for me and my sister (in our mid to late 20’s) this was fine for a weeks break so not a massive deal breaker also. Would also like to say thank you to the owners for allowing our dog to stay, who wasn’t allowed upstairs but that is fine and the same rule in our house! But also for going the extra mile and putting up a real Christmas tree prior to our arrival and fully decorated it really did make the cottage feel like our home for Christmas! Thank you for a great stay and would recommend this cottage to anyone! It is a cosy and stylish cottage, 5mins walk to a lovely little town to wonder around and 5mins walk to the beach is just amazing!

It really was better than a home & was super comfy. There was so much for my grandkids to do indoors when it rained, the house has so many games to use & the Tv was excellent for movie night. The back garden is very secure for my dog & we enjoyed a meal or two in the sunny garden. We were getting fitter from the amount of stairs which wouldn’t suit any family with disabilities. The quality of the beds was awesome so much so we had to check what make the mattress was to buy one for our bed. We often left our car parked on the street & walked into Tenby Town in just a few minutes or within minutes we walked to Tenby south beach which was lush with deep golden sand beach.
