  • "We were very comfortable, lots of space, kitchen appliances perfect."

Cosy touches like rugs on chairs and sofa were really nice. Heating very efficient.

  • "Lovely cottage in a lovely location, just half a mile down the track to the coast path."

Lots to do outdoors including sandy beach at Whitesands. The only negatives are having no upstairs toilet and the kitchen being sparingly stocked e.g. no mixing bowl. We'd happily go back here.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Farmhouse Kitchen."

It was in excellent condition and was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed. The surroundings were wonderful, with old farm buildings where the birds were nesting, and peaceful walks to the sea or towards the inland lakes where we saw wild rabbits in the evenings and swallows skimming over the water. We enjoyed being in the cottage at either end of the day- it was peaceful and relaxing, with comfortable beds. The cottage is conveniently situated for short drives to many beautiful beaches and coastal walks, and it was only 10 minutes from St David's. We can't wait to return- thank you Mrs Rees, for a lovely stay.

  • "Mrs Rees was so lovely, friendly and helpful and she responded quickly to any query we had."

The location of the property is fabulous and the use of the “secret garden” was great. We loved the evening walks on the costal path and the children loved the friendly cows and blackberry picking opportunity. The cleanliness of the property was ok but we did hoover and it was clear that the property hadn’t been deep cleaned for a while. Also whilst there was lots of crockery/utensils provided in the kitchen, I would have liked some proper dinner plates as we did mostly cook and eat at the cottage. All in all a lovely holiday though and would recommend for families.

We ate out mostly and can recommend The Sloop at Porthgain as the best locally found. Eating in St David's was disappointing. The location is excellent for walks and is peaceful and quiet..

Wonderful views of the coast and just a 10 minute stroll to the amazing coastal path. The fauna & flora breathtaking. The cottage comfortable and well equipped, would highly recommend.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse Kitchen."

The property was spacious, warm and cosy with everything we needed. It was a great place to use as a base to visit all local attractions and was very quiet. Very close to the coastal walk, St David’s Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace, the Blue Lagoon and the Lifeboat Station a few minutes drive away. The owner, Mrs Rees, came to check that everything was okay a couple of times which was a nice touch. We would definitely stay again if we were heading to the Pembrokeshire coast.

  • "The Old Farmhouse Kitchen was a fabulous property to stay at."

The property itself was spacious, well furnished, clean and set in very quiet grounds. The Pembrokeshire coastal path was a ten minute walk away and the views both around the property and coastal path were fantastic.

  • "Lovely cottage in a fabulous location."

Quiet, tranquil, remote, down a farm track from the main road. Really close to the coast path, and only 10 minutes from St Davids. Pretty cottage with lots of space and a homely feel, and a lovely Secret Garden to use. Cottage was clean on the surface, but could have been cleaner. Lots of cobwebs and dusty corners. Only a minor observation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Old Farmhouse Kitchen.

  • "Mrs Rees was extremely nice and accommodating."

Please be aware for future visitors that this is a farmhouse split in two and the main part is for 8 persons with the farmhouse kitchen on the back which has been extremely tastefully renovated but you can hear noise in the bedroom with the twin rooms and single room if the visitors next door are noisy.

  • "The Old Farmhouse Kitchen was comfortable enough however there were issues."

These were: Constantly dripping tap in kitchen which owners were aware of but couldn't get a plumber in to fix it. Wasn't as clean as should I would have expected with no bin liner in main kitchen bin or bin bags left to bag up rubbish. There were also quite a few cobwebs and dust around. The information folder had 2016 recycling information! Also, there were no instructions on how to use appliances so this needs updating

  • "We had a comfortable stay in the farmhouse."

The house was quite hot and could do with a large fan especially upstairs. The drawers in the kitchen smelt quite damp and that really was the only off putting feature. The beds were comfy and the walk from the farmland toward the coastline was beautiful. A pint of milk, a loaf of bread and some teabags would have been a nice touch and something we are used to being as standard on other cottage holidays. The check in time of six pm is rather late especially when the ten am checkout is still in situ. All in all a beautiful farmhouse surrounded by stunning scenery and the weather was exceptional too!

  • "This is a lovely cottage."

Yes, it is very old, but it has been sympathetically restored, and the peacefulness of the setting is unbelievable. We loved our 'secret garden' and the privacy it gave us. We are big walkers, and the close proximity of the coastal path was very useful. Whitesands beach is one of the best beaches we have been to, and a comfortable ten minute drive away. The cottage was clean and all the necessities for a comfortable stay were there. I particularly liked having the separate utility room to do the laundry in. The large downstairs bathroom was excellent, though a second bathroom upstairs would have made it perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The owner (Mrs Rees) was very nice, and helped us out immediately when there was a small problem with the boiler. Added to that, we had pretty good weather allowing us to get on the beach, in the sea, and onto the cliff walks. A fantastic holiday, and we will come back again.

  • "‘What three words’ reference inaccurate (should be workbook."

Ranking.beams to yard gate) and post code too wide to be useful. 6pm check-in was too late and cottage could have been cleaner. Kitchen under equipped and disappointed that there was nothing awaiting our arrival eg pint of milk. That said, cosy cottage and great location close to Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Stunning scenery.

  • "I found the property not to be the usual excellent standard of cleanliness ive had in other properties ive stayed at."

I must have seen at least 30 spiders and countless webs and every evening scores of woodlouse would enter the property. Also there was food deposits on some of the kitchen cupboards and food crumbs in the fridge.floors had drink spills on them and lots of dust and dirt under sofa.i spent most of my first couple of days cleaning and tidying so the next occupants will have a far cleaner place to stay at.

Nearby Whitesands Bay is one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, and walkers will delight in the spectacular views from the coastal path which runs around the complete coastline of Pembrokeshire. Local buses will help with your walking plans, so that you can walk several stretches of the path with totally different landscapes and views each day. Dolphin spotting from land or from the many boat trips to local islands are a must, and are also perfect for enjoying the wonderful array of birds in their natural habitat.
