  • "We had a wonderful stay, Sonia and David had thought of just about everything in and around the lodge."

They came to give us a warm welcome and instructions on how to use the hot tub, even offered to light during our stay. Anyone looking for a quiet peaceful break this is where to stay, everything we wanted to do and see was within easy access. We are already planning for next year hopefully in the same Lodge or maybe one of their new ones

The lodge was cleaned to a high standard ,with lots of extras you don't usually get i.e cleaning products toiletries etc also we had our dog with us so I asked for a mop and bucket to be supplied, nothing was a problem. The hot tub was lovely just a little too hot but I think that was purely down to my partner getting carried away with the amount of logs he put in! A very peaceful getaway would definitely return.

  • "The lodge was a perfect getaway for me and my family."

The location was perfect and so quiet which is exactly what we were looking for, the lodge was tidy and well equipped with everything you would need for the stay. The kids really enjoyed the welcome basket fully of goodies. The hot tub for us didn’t get hot enough but that’s just personal preference the kids still went in multiple times and loved it. Inside the lodge there was also a handy guide of local walks we could on which I thought was good (if it hadn’t rained the whole time!). Only suggestion we had was when meeting Sonia and David when we arrived we were told how to work everything such as hot tub and which bins for recycling but after they had gone we had already forgot! I feel this could be helpful if it was written down and left in the lodge but didn’t affect the stay in any way. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a relaxing break away.

We were only there a few days but got to The Mumbles, Pembrey (toboggan ride and the beach), and Kidwelly castle before heading to Neath to watch our son play rugby. We’ll be back - definitely!

The views all around were spectacular and all we could hear was the sound of the nearby spring and an occasional birdsong. The lodge is well equipped, and the wood-fired hot tub is just a perfect addition to its facilities. During our stay we looked forward to going back to the lodge and having a relaxing time in the hot tub after a day's full of activities, exploring the area. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and attentive. They made sure everything was OK and nothing was a bother for them Just the nicest people. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing laid back stay. It is also a perfect base to explore South Wales - plenty of places to see and things to do, within 60-90 mins max either direction. You are spoilt for choice.

Peaceful, countryside location but with easy access to surrounding beaches and towns. The Lodge was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. The selection of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival was most appreciated, as was the range of dog requisites. Bobby, our 18 year old terrier, whose primary thoughts these days seem to revolve around his stomach, eagerly devoured his treats, yet still managed to fall in love with Rosie, one of the adorable spaniels. As for us, on our last evening, we had a relaxing bathe in the wood burning hot tub. What fun it was too, splashing about under a starlit sky. So, thank you, Sonia and David, for going that extra mile and making our stay truly memorable.

The cleanliness was outstanding! The hospitality was outstanding! The surrounding area was outstanding! Sonia and Dave are the loveliest couple where nothing is too much trouble. They are developing and expanding their lodges, so works are in progress. This didn't hinder our stay, as no active work was done during our stay. What they have planned for the eco-lodges looks brilliant. We can't wait to book again. We took our two children and the dog with us. It was the most peaceful holiday we have ever been on, and we arrived during a storm! Once it had passed, there was just silence, trees, long walks, and a river. This is just on their land. We loved it. The log fire hot tub is fantastic, and being in it while the stars are out is an experience everyone who visits should have! Zoe, Mick, the Girls & Skip

  • "Place was isolated and quiet which is what we wanted however, it is not as described."

We wanted a quiet holiday away in a hot tub, unfortunately we had a holiday away in a cold tub. You literally have to put wooden logs into a burner, this then has a pipe into the tub to attempt to heat the water. When you have used all your logs, which go very quickly, you then have to buy more at £15 a bag . None of this was stated within the holiday description and led for a disappointing birthday trip away. Due to their eco friendly approach, the hot tub isn’t even chlorinated which led to it being full of Algae after the first day and coming out feeling slimy. Really disappointing and would advise to let holiday makers aware of all of this prior to them paying their hard earned money for a holiday.

  • "Excellent friendly hosts, very attentive, anything we needed they were at our door with it."

Very clean caravan and comfortable seating. spacious living room and main bedroom, dressing room a great addition. Good location and local amenities, only a short drive to the beach. Only one slight disappointment was the hot tub, we like the luxury of lights and bubbles! A good suggestion is to take flip flops with you to walk across back to the lodge when you get out. A lovely few days escape, just wish we could have stayed longer.

  • "Stayed there a week in September 2021."

Absolutely lovely couple, really loved the place Sonia and David thought of everything in the lodge. It had everything in there without bringing anything and more. Lovely views, clean lodge and location remote but easily accessible to places. If I had a negative point at all (and it’s only a slight negative)it would be that the hot tub wasn’t changed and got very slimy after a few days however it is powered by a wood burner and David came and set it up and lit it every day for us which was nice. Thank you would go again definitely. Jayne and Frank

Well equipped but more importantly our hosts were so welcoming (nothing was a problem). A perfect spot away from everything but only a short drive to the beach. We would especially like to thank David and Sonia for the loan of their perfect dog 'Lolita

  • "Thé lodge, in a very peaceful location, is very clean and extremely comfortable with lovely sofa and armchair."

It is very well equipped and has everything you could possibly need. There is plenty of storage space both in the kitchen and main bedroom.....even a walk in wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The beds were comfortable with good bed linen but the twins were rather narrow. The owners, David and Sonia, were very helpful providing us with information about possible visits. We were the first guests and a couple of teething problems were sorted out very quickly to everyone’s satisfaction. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit . Thank you.
