"Really enjoyed my stay at the Beach House."
I needed a simple break to relax by the sea and the Beach House provided! I was also travelling by rail for this holiday and the house is perfectly sited: it's only 5 mins walk from the station in one direction, and 5 mins walk to the seafront in the other. If you do come by car, it has plenty of designated or on street parking. The house is warm, can sleep up to 5 people and it's got all the useful facilities for a beach break: a washing machine, good clothes airing and drying facilities and a very comfy sitting room. I found it easy and quite cheap to travel up and down the coast by rail so there were plenty of options for activity. The house owners are very friendly and helpful. In all, I'd definitely recommend the house to friends.

"The location was ideal."
The locals were extremely friendly. As for the house it’s self, it is in serious need of an upgrade of both the decoration and furnishing. We had one issue with the hot water and had to call the owner who was very reluctant to to come and resolve it. Unfortunately because of the issues mentioned we would not return.

"Really well equipped cottage, well thought out and had everything we could possibly need."
House was comfortable and in an ideal location for exploring South Wales. We've thoroughly enjoyed our week staying here.

"We stayed at this house in February for three nights."
I was with my 3 children. We had a wonderful time. My 7 year old wanted to write a review as she has been doing these in school so her words are below: We had a glorious time amazing shops, went to Primark, found some really nice clothes, bought them, and we also found some chocolate fingers on the table when we arrived. Had really lovely beaches with nice fresh air. Very friendly people. Went to the Toby Carvery, had amazing food. Went to Asda and bought some food which was amazing and loved how many eggs they had. Went home and had a nice time. Highly recommend.

"The property ticked all the boxes for us."
Definitely will be returning again.

"Whilst the house was reasonably clean and very well equipped, the lounge window could not be seen through."
There is obviously a problem with the double glazing as I cleaned inside and outside the window to no avail. Although minimal noise, the adjoining house was being totally renovated so builders vehicles parked infront of Beach House - think we should have been warned of building works by either Sykes or the owner. Otherwise a comfortable stay and if window corrected we would stay again as building work would be finished.

"A nice place to stay."
Very comfortable. It has everything you need .

"Beach house was a good base for us to explore the local area."
Good size family kitchen. Inc a dishwasher and washing machine. The cooker does work just takes a bit of getting used to. Gas & elec both have approx £20 on the meter at the start of the stay . We had a mild week so this was ample for our needs. There are a few books and games in the lounge. WiFi was patchy at times and iPlayer could not connect. No parking problems . The owners respond quickly to any text messages .The welcome book and leaflets could probably do with a bit of updating. Plenty of cleaning materials ( except toilet rolls) Kitchen has all you need for dining in ..Thank you for the Welcome treats.

"Nice well equipped house, near town centre, quiet spot"

"Great location, The beach house well equipped."
We arrived to a welcome pack which was very much appreciated. We were left a note about a couple of issues the last visitors had but we had no issues at all. We tasted the fish and chips on the first night which were delicious. The New Cornish pub we can recommend highly as well, which was a short walk to the right. The beach was a short walk and lovely to just get out and walk by the beach. The garden and parking were great for us because we brought the car and motorbike so we got to see a lot more this way. We would recommend this house, clean and comfortable. The bed was softer then we are normal too but we got used to it. Great hosts.

"Good location and nice cottage."
The welcome pack was appreciated after the long drive. The property was nice but the oven did not work so had to eat out. At least the weather was very good and had a great holiday.
The oven was working it was just the light which was not! We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"Had a great holiday, good to be able to walk to the beach."
Easy drive to other visitor attractions. House had everything we needed including safe storage for our bikes and bike carrier. Lovely to sit in the back garden in the evening sunshine. Owners really helpful and accomodating.

"We were aware that Llanelli is not a normal holiday destination in view of its industrial past."
The house was on the edge of an extensive terraced district not far from the sea front. It's hardly a beach but it was pleasant for walking. We mainly used the place as a base to explore surrounding areas especially the Gower Peninsula. The house is fine but the levels of cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. Superficially the house is clean but under the beds and around furniture look as though they are never touched. We had to change a duvet cover and were appalled at the state of the duvet itself. The house was very dusty which wasn't very good for the member of our party who has asthma!

"The light fittings could do with a clean and a bit concerned that it looked like paper bowls attached to the kitchen lights."
No laundry basket to put washing as instructions from Sykes
-
"Beach House well placed for Wetlands and easy supermarket access."
Best features are large kitchen - with an excellent set of cooking knives, rare! Plus the sun trap sitting out area, directors chairs provided. Bathroom a bit small but Ok for holiday duration. Parking excellent, quiet, and Swansea Bay a five minute stroll. Unhesitatingly recommended.

"This is a wonderful base for exploring South Wales."
Locally, the millennium coastal path is fantastic to cycle. The property itself was spotlessly clean, an important consideration these days, with easy on street parking and plenty of space around the house for 5 adults when we stayed. The owners are very friendly and kindly left milk, tea, coffee and snacks for our arrival.
-
"Extremely clean and comfortable and very welcoming."
Short walk to the beach was perfect! Absolutely jam packed with all the extras and welcome pack!!
-
"Good touring base- about an hour from lots of attractions, but Llanelli is not one of them, unless bird watching or cycling are your thing."
Comfortable, well-equipped house; some of the fittings (shower/kitchen floor) have seen better days though.
-
"It was a lovely cottage."
, fully equipped, comfortable beds, nice bedding. Good internet Only 1 downside. More than 1 towel each would have been better but we managed. thanks to the good weather we were able to air them outside after a shower

"We had a great week in The Beach House in Llanelli."
The weather was kind, the nearby beaches were glorious, and the Fish ad Chips across the road were, if anything, a bit too delicious. We had arrived to a welcome pack from Mark and Hettie, who were very clear that they would be on hand if we needed anything - thankfully we didn't- but their real calibre as hosts became apparent when we returned home. On the last day of our stay our youngest son - who has severe learning disabilities- spilt something on the carpet, which - despite our best attempts- became a bit of a nightmare for Mark, Hettie, and the following week's guests. Mark dealt with this with such decency and goodwill, and managed to resolve it for all concerned. An experience that really made us feel that they care about their guests, even when they've gone home! we couldn't recommend or rate them highly enough.

"Great location."
Really appreciated the Welsh cakes biscuits milk coffee tea after a long journey. Was not while we were there and sleeping with the Windows open at front of house could hear lots of noise all night.
-
"Only problem was the shower temperature kept going cold a d no lock on bathroom door, otherwise every thing you needed was supplied easy parking right out side."
-
"Spent a week at Beach House at the end of July."
It was clean and had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Easy walk to Llanelli beach and the local pub. Excellent location to explore Carmarthen Bay and the Mumbles. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
-
"We always prefer to have our holidays in a holiday let, rather than stay in a B&B or hotel because of the freedom and privacy."
-
"We left the cottage cleaner than we found it ."
-
"Exceptionaly clean and homely feel when working away from home."
-
"The location of the property was not as expected."
Near to the sea but in a very bleak area.
-
"This is a clean, comfortable cottage very well situated for Llanelli Waterfront, the Millennium Coastal Path and for exploring this beautiful area."
We appreciate the quiet convenience of the house (this is a return visit). We have a family member with some disabilities, and it is handy for us that we can park immediately outside the house. The owners are also very friendly, although, not interfering unduly, but easy to call on if there is something that you need, or if you have questions about the local area. We thanked them again for providing a lovely, calm base for our holiday in Wales.

"Absolutely the best place to go, love Llanelli, the places, the people."
The Beach House was fabulous, so very clean and tidy, very spacious, great back yard, plenty of parking, amenities on your doorstep - beach, shop, chip shop, pub - would recommend to cyclist as loads of cycling routes and storage under house for them. Definitely booking again for next summer 10/10
-
"The Beach House is a great place to stay, comfortable, clean and well situated for all the local amenities."
Everything you would need for a great holiday is provided, the five of us (3 adults & 2 children) had a great time. The property is not suitable for wheelchair users. Value for money accommodation well worth a visit.

"The Beach House was very comfortable and well equipped."
Arrived to find milk, tea bags and biscuits waiting so many thanks for that. It was ideally located only a short walk into town and very near to the local pub. The fish and chip shop nearby was also very good so give it a try. Lots of local golf courses but the closest is Machynys. Well worth a visit even if you don't golf. Food and surroundings in the clubhouse are excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

"The main reason we chose this cottage was for the easy access it afforded to popular cycle routes without the need to use the car."
It was also yards from a good fish and chips shop, an easy walk to the seafront and a reasonable walk to the station and town centre (unfortunately quite badly affected by people instead electing to use the out-of-town shopping areas). Being able to park in front of the cottage was a real bonus compared to other cottages we have visited where parking is often compromised. Overall, a cosy and well-placed cottage which may be worthy of a second visit in warmer and less windy weather so that we could better enjoy the massively improved seaside area.

"This is a lovely house to stay for a holiday."
It had every thing we needed for a comfortable holiday. Loads of parking on road or off road round back of house. It was quiet and peaceful just what we needed.
-
"Lovely holiday home in the perfect location!"
In walking distance of the beach, local town and train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Beach House and exploring the local area. Would definitely return in the future!!!

No -although this was a very old terraced cottage it had every facility -we were only 10mins walk from the sea where we could walk along the coast for miles very good shopping centres with everything you could need

"Lovely house with all the home comforts in a convenient location as a base for The Gower and West Wales under an hour."
-
"We have just returned from an enjoyable week spent at Beach House."
On arrival the owner had thoughtfully provided tea making items to set us up following our journey. The cottage was extremely well presented and in spotless order and is well equipped to cover all reasonable needs particularly in relation to kitchen equipment and utensils. We found the cottage comfortable in every respect. We were faced with a rather cold spell weather wise and so a few hours usage of the central heating proved a godsend at times. Llanelli is a useful location for travelling in many different directions whether it be westward to say Tenby or St Davids, northerly to the National Botanic Garden or maybe east to seek out the delights of The Gower and Mumbles but our satnav came in quite handy at times as the roundabout junctions can come thick and fast..Let's not overlook the delightful coastal path just minutes away from our cottage ideal for an early evening stroll and to watch the sun go down which we were delighted to see. Whilst there is an abundance of parking space in front of the cottage we chose to manoeuvre our car to secure parking to the rear. Other users have indicated the handiness of the Spar shop conveniently just minutes away and the fish and chip shop close by has to be highly recommended. So, given the above, Beach House has much to offer in so many respects. Try it and see for yourself. HEADING COULD BE:- 'Comfortable and we'll equipped'

"The Cottage was very welcoming for us as we had had a terrible journey [Motorway delays] and it took us almost 7 hours to travel the 170 miles."
Had it been necessary we would have used the excellent Fish and Chip Shop across the road on our first evening but walked into Town and went to a very well known pub chain for a meal. The cooker/oven was excellent and we cooked most evenings. All the cottage amenities were very good and even had a washing line after using the washing machine things dried very well whilst we out during the day. Be prepared for the tide being out but also experience some wonderful sunsets after the short walk to the beach, about 10 mins, but well worth it. We would definitely come back for another stay as there was so much still to see in the area.
