"We had such a wonderful stay."
The cottage was spacious, clean and so close to the sea front. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again
-
"A lovely place to stay - once parked we didn’t have to use it again as it was very convenient for both town and beach."
There was enough room for all the family (us and our son daughter-in- law and two children)
-
"A lovely property 2 minutes walk from the sea front and 5 mins from the high street with shops, cafes and restaurants."
The house had everything we could need and was spotless.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay - thank you for the feedback Property Owner

"This a brilliant house in a great location of Southwold."
Have stayed in a number of houses every summer and 14 Dunwich is one of the best. It’s spacious, comfortable and well maintained. It has a very good size garden which isn’t shown on the house description. The bedrooms state good sizes and the two reception rooms are an added bonus. The only comment I’d make is that we didn’t use the front room much which was the bigger of the two as often we would convene around the tv in the back room. I’d consider swapping especially as the front room gets more light. But it’s nothing to stop me coming back. The weather wasn’t great unfortunately which meant we were in the house a lot more than expected.
Thank you very much for this feedback! Completely understand your point re the tv and will have a think about it when we are next at the house. So pleased you had a good holiday. Property Owner

"I think this is the best family house to rent in Southwold ."
I have been coming here for many years . It is in a great position and has lots of space . For me and perhaps other renters there are a couple of issues though . It would be most helpful if the owners could address some window treatment for the bottom half of the windows in the front main bedroom . It is not pleasant to have shower then dress in the morning in a darkened room due to the necessity of keeping the blinds down to preserve one’s decency ! The mattress on the bed in the main bedroom has developed quite a dip on the right hand side as you look at the bed from the bottom . Could you please replace the plastic outdoor mat in the double back bedroom . So unsightly and unnecessary in such a lovely room and the zip up flimsy nylon clothes hanger , perhaps just a wooden clothes rail would suffice . Over all as I have said a fantastic house and I love coming here .
Thank you so much for your feedback - so helpful so we can keep improving 14 Dunwich Road. I have just ordered a wooden clothes rail and a new rug for the back bedroom. We are in Southwold this weekend so all being well with the deliveries we will replace them then. It sounds like it is time to replace the mattress in the main bedroom too! So I'll order a new mattress for that room. The windows in the front bedroom need a bit of thought as I know guests like sitting in the chair in that room to catch a look at the sea, but I'll look into other blind/shutter options. "Lovely clean, comfortable, warm, well equipped cottage."
Nicely situated. Our only problem was the parking but we were told about that beforehand.

"This was our second visit to 14 Dunwich Rd and it’s the perfect house for our group."
We are a family of four and a couple. It fits us all perfectly and we love the large kitchen. The location to get down to the beach is excellent. The children were also happy to receive 8 visits from trick or treaters! We look forward to coming back next year.
What wonderful feedback! So pleased you had such a great stay - and that are you already looking forward to coming back next year Property Owner

"Overall very pleasant however the curtain track in the lounge were not man enough for the heavy curtains so that several times the lead clips on the left side had to be re connected the lead clip was not attached on our arrival."
The refuse bin had not been emptied by the previous tenants so it is now quite full. All in all we had a most enjoyable time in Southwold, thank you Rena Derek and Christine
Thank you for sharing this - how frustrating about the bins. We’ll put some more friendly reminders re this in the house. And thank you re the curtains, now all fixed! Property Owner

"Another great stay at 14 Dunwich."
Perfect location and easy walk to the beach and town center. The house has a very homely feel. On our list to visit again.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come back again Property Owner

"Great location and loved the house, great kitchen/dining area."
The lounge area could do with a larger TV in the front room with the ability to sit 4-6 people in front of it. Then have the darker back room as a reading room. Lovely bedrooms but could do with more storage (draw units) as otherwise you have to live out of suitcases and there’s a lack of mirrors to get ready by.
Thank you so much for your feedback and so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Every bedroom has a mirror but can see it would be good to have a full length mirror in the house and we will look into this. Every bedroom also has a wardrobe with shelves in it and there is a big chest of drawers on the landing outside the master bedroom and twin bedroom but we will see if space allows for more storage when we are next at the house later this summer. "We had a lovely stay at 14 Dunwich road."
It is a comfortable Victorian three bed with plenty of room for the children to play. Near to the front and yet near to the high street. Parking was also good in the road outside. We have already booked for a return stay in June. Graham W.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay! And wonderful you are coming back in June! Property Owner

"We had a lovely stay in this very clean and spacious house."
It’s a wonderful location, close to the seafront and lighthouse. Only suggestions for improvement would be more comfortable seating in the living room and also more lamps as in the living room too for softer, more cozy light (The ceiling lights seem to flicker at lower levels). Overall though a fantastic place to stay in Southwold.
Thank you so much for this useful feedback - we are looking into the lights. Really glad you enjoyed your time at Dunwich Road. Property Owner
