This is the first time I've stayed at the apartment but the 2nd time I've stayed at this particular house.
I've previously stayed at the upstairs portion of the house. I loved staying in the apartment and I stayed for 28 days so my feedback is a little different than most. The comfort of the apartment was excellent, but, that being said. I would suggest the owner of the apartment coming in and doing an inspection of the property. It needs a little bit of minor maintance. The bedding needs a major upgrade as none of the sheets fit and I would have to fight to get the fitted sheet on daily. The pillows were as fluffy as a cheap motel. There was a major stain on the living room rug that is very unsightly, along with some mold beginning to take hold in the bathroom. Also, if someone is staying as long as I need, more than 2 rolls of toilet paper would be greatly appreciated. I would also suggest that you leave instructions on how to use the thermostat (I spent the first 3 days freezing until I googled the maker of the thermostat to get instructions) and how to use the "hob". Those of use from the United States, are not familiar. I would also suggest that you have quest leave suggestions on some of the resturants that they've dined at so that the next guest have a place they could try to eat. I suggest Hou Hou Mei, La Tortilla Asesina, Zizi, I would also suggest the Cullen Skink soup at Ay Eat and if you want to hear great Scottish music, go to Hootananny but expect to wait a little bit, but it's worth it. I would definately go back, in fact I am in a few days to the upstairs location and I'll probably come back in another year or so. Inverness has my heart!!
I would give them a 100/100 beautiful so comfortable.
Location excellent. Very quiet. I would stay here again in the summer months. Thanks to the property owners
Had a very enjoyable trip to Inverness and Mary Ann Apartment is absolutely beautiful.
Exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable and in a brilliant situation only a few mins walk to the city centre. One big drawback however - the apartment appears to have previously been used as a basement and noise from the Villa above is a real nuisance. Every footstep is heard quite loudly and the apartment ceiling vibrates. Our first night and early next morning were awful as the occupants were apparently packing to leave. It sounded like a herd of elephants, clomping about and dragging suitcases around. The second night was fine as the Villa was unoccupied, however once further guests arrived the next day we once again had to suffer the noise from foot fall, and also conversations. I would have awarded 5 stars, but it gets only 3 because of this. Such a shame as it really is a lovely apartment, but we would not return. One little suggestion for the owner - it might be a good idea to have a guest manual with instructions re : using the dishwasher, microwave and cooker (as is often the case with holiday accommodation). We were fine, but not everyone is familiar with differing types, makes and models.
