  • "A good sized cottage with plenty of equipment on hand."

A quiet rural location that felt not too isolated as there were occupied neighbouring properties. We would stay at this cottage again. Graham and Susan.

Garden around property not enclosed but garden with the summer house is secure. Heating was good, no need for burner.

  • "Need to update the instructions sent as we were looking for the picture on the instructions sent and you can’t see this from the road you need to look for a sign which says west cottage from the road and then you will see the East cottage sign."

Had to leave early due to WiFi issues as I was unable to complete the work I needed to while staying at East Cottage. In the description it says dog friendly but dogs aren’t allowed upstairs once you receive the instructions a few weeks prior to staying and there is nothing on the stairs to stop them from going upstairs. Lovely garden and cottage but the cottage is has a lot of ornaments and items which could break so not suitable really for small children.

Thank you for your feedback Michelle . I will reply privately to your email . Rosemary Property Owner

Very well equipped and spacious with everything we needed. Owners left cakes and wine in the fridge as a welcome and were very helpful if we had a question. Lovely summer house in the garden a bonus too. Nice location, rural and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

So comfortable that it started to feel like home and we were sad to leave! Not too far from Inverness city centre and also Nairn, which has beautiful beaches if you get lucky with the weather! We had a brilliant time. Our dog loved running around the enclosed garden!

  • "Lovely cottage, felt more like someone's actual home than just a holiday rental."

Great enclosed garden for dogs, with lovely view, but just be aware backdoor doesn't lead straight into garden. There is a courtyard with open access to minor road before garden is reached, so potential for dog to run out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & highly recommend East Cottage.

Hello Barbara, Thank you very much for your feedback. and for taking the time to do it . You have described very accurately how East cottage is for dog owners which is helpful . I hope you managed to get up into the forest to enjoy the walks from the cottage . I am really glad you enjoyed your fortnights holiday . Best Wishes Rosemary Property Owner

  • "Perfect stay, well equipped cottage, clean and comfortable."

Th summerhouse was a nice bonus. Great communication with the owner. Nice welcome cakes, fruit and wine on arrival. Fantastic views across the Moray Firth. Plenty to do in the area. My only suggestion would be to get a stair gate, dogs are not allowed upstairs, we had to use a couple of dining chairs to block them off. This didn’t impact on our wonderful stay, we hope to return

  • "The house was absolutely amazing."

If had everything we needed. Facilities were in excess of what we expected. The neighbors (hope I remembered her name correct) next door were absolute gems and lent us their BBQ when they saw me using a pair of disposable ones. The views are stunning, even when it's tipping it down. The summer house at the bottom of the garden is a wonderful place to sit the night away. There is so much to do nearby and you're only limited by your willingness to travel. Most adventure parks and the best bits of the Cairngorms are all within an hour's drive. There was just a few minor things that would have made our stay better. Don't know if these apply across the board. A gate towards the front of the drive would have allowed us to have the doors open and give the dog free roam of all the space. I guess this would apply to children to some extent. The location on the directions was a bit wooly. I think this should be replaced with a 'what3words' location. This is used by emergency services and companies to plot exact locations that night not be as easily located. Here is a precise what3words address, made of 3 random words. Every 3 metre square in the world has its own unique what3words address. ///stylists.agreeing.marked https://w3w.co/stylists.agreeing.marked I think the blinds need to be black out ones. Otherwise the light and airy nature of the cottage becomes an early wake up call. Maybe another radio upstairs. All in all, it was great and I wouldn't hesitate coming back or recommending it to family and friends

  • "We had a lovely stay at the “East Cottage”."

The hosts are very polite and caring. They left us yummy strawberry tarts, fresh raspberries from a local farm and some more nibbles on our arrival. Every single room is well facilitated. The kitchen is well-equipped. Our family prefers home-cooked meals and I found everything that was required in the kitchen. Bedrooms are comfy with great views- farm, gardens, wild birds, farm animals and even sea :) This cottage is a perfect choice if one is looking for heavenly countryside experience. The greenhouse is cute with serene views. My kids love wild birds and farm animals. The cows on the neighbouring farm very quite entertaining!! Many interesting and beautiful attractions are not far from the cottage which is a bonus. We really got emotional when leaving the cottage after seven night stays. It was indeed a home to home experience. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfy and enjoyable. Miss you “East Cottage”

  • "We had a lovely week at Rosemary's house visiting for the Speyside golf experience."

Although we weren't around the house much during the day due to travelling around for golf, the house had everything we needed for our stay. There was also a lovely summerhouse which we only discovered on our last day as we didn't venture into the garden. The beds were so comfortable and I looked forward to falling into it after our long days travelling about. The house was very quiet except for the noise of the cows in the field. We had dinner in the Sun dancer restaurant in Nairn which was lovely and also in the Cawdor Tavern which was a bit slow serving but lovely food when it came. We had everything we needed for our weeks stay and wouldn't think twice about staying again.
