7B Ardroil

A lovely comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our stay.

Local information was very helpful and booklets about the history of the area a bonus. Local community shop close by for any food needs and treats. Close to Ardroil beach for beach lovers and plenty of views to admire.

The cottage we stayed in was very nice and comfortable.

Uig beach is a 5 minute walk from the cottage and our dog really enjoyed running around on the huge beach. The cottage has all you need for a great stay on the Isle of Lewis. We will be going back next year. There is a community shop nearby which has a very good variety of food and wines to purchase. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who is thinking of visiting the Island for a holiday.

This is our 5th visit to 7B Ardroil and as always it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The cottage is in an ideal position for Uig Sands just a short walk from the door and a perfect base for exploring Lewis. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, despite it's small appearance from outside it is surprisingly spacious. Just to point out that the garden is shared with visitors to 7A and not entirely secure for a dog if you bring one. Ours escaped! However this does not distract from it and we will be returning next summer!

I have had no reply from anyone. Disgusting customer service. I have already cancelled one booking I had with you for September and am about to cancel another for December. Will never book with Sykes again. Pathetic.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, really well equipped with everything you need.

Instructions about the food wate caddy for recycling need to be put in the welcome information as ws only found it half way through the stay. There is a little leak on the shower door that could be seen to. Overall fantastic.

Our 4th visit to 7B Ardroil and a lovely week's holiday on beautiful Lewis.

A great little house in a perfect location. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Some things need a little bit of TLC, looking a bit tired in places. The entrance door sticks making it difficult to open and close. Could do with a few more glasses, and a large frying pan. That said we look forward to returning again to 7B, hopefully next summer. Uig Beach (Traigh Uige) is only a few minutes walk away. The Callanish Stones and the island of Great Bernera are nearby

Wonderful location and views.The accommodation was bright, airy and spacious with everything we needed. Very close to the amazing Uig Sands. A very special week away.

We loved our stay at 7b- the house was perfect for our needs.

It was clean and comfortable and perfectly located. It would be even better if the information inside the cottage was updated and the new owner put his personal touches in- it felt a bit abandoned in that regard. A clothes airer would reduce the need to use the tumble dryer too. To help guests feel at home some welcome goodies wouldn’t go amiss- perhaps from the fantastic community shop with a note saying they were from there. We will be back as this has been one of the best holidays we’ve had and 7b was a perfect base. Thank you to the housekeepers for their excellent service.

Lovely and warm and clean.

Great location. Wonderful bird song every dawn and dusk. Good range of kitchen equipment. Excellent shower, bed and bedding very comfortable. Could do with a clothes drying rack in the house for when too wet to dry clothes outside.

Perfect cottage in a stunning setting.

Clean, comfortable, cosy and has everything you need for your stay. We were blessed with great weather, and the view of the hills and deer from the garden were great. Ideal for getting away from it all. Uig beach is beautiful and just a short walk, a well stocked community shop just down the road. And tonnes of unspoilt beaches a short car journey away. Completely recommend :)

Warm, comfortable, well-equipped holiday cottage for 2.

The property is in an excellent location for exploring both the South Lewis hills, and immediately adjacent beaches/coastline literally from the front door!

A perfect, well equipped cottage.

We especially enjoyed the beautiful beaches South of Ardroil. The garden is safe for dogs as the entrance gate is kept closed. We saw sea eagles and a deer nearby! There is now recycling information and a file with manuals for all appliances, including the central heating.

The house is lovely, clean and very comfortable in a terrific place.. Anna is very friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous holiday and hope to return again soon. The only thing that would improve it is an information sheet for the cottage - a quick guide. Things like when are bins emptied what should going into the different bins (4 of them); operating central heating system - turning it off in hot weather! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Walking distance to the beach. Cottage is cosy and extremely clean, and fully equipped with everything. We would highly recommend.

What a lovely little place to visit.

We had a very short break here with our dog "Molly" and she loved the walk on the beach just a few minutes walk. Community shop close by and would recommend picking up some fresh scallops from the seatrek slipway avaliable most days. Loved this little house as it was well equipped home from home and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you.

We have just got back from a week in this grand little house!

Beautifully kept and equipped, extremely comfortable and in a perfect spot. Just a short walk onto Uig sands, absolute magic! Watched the sunset on 3 nights spectacular! We didn't want to leave! Perfect! Thank you so much. We will be back, hopefully next year for two weeks!

We are just on our way home from a lovely week spent at 7b Ardroil.

My parents let 7a so we had the luxury of moving between both properties, both of which are very charming in their own right. Our cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped and very clean. My parents have stayed in 7a many times, it was lovely to spend a week with them in a place that is very special to them both. Thank you for a fantastic week, we would highly recommend this accommodation to others.

Our second visit to this lovely comfortable cottage and we have had a wonderful holiday.

It has everything you could possible need and is a real home away from home. Such a peaceful location, lovely to relax in the garden on an evening and watch the deer come down from the hills. Beautiful Uig Sands just the perfect distance from the doorstep. Absolute heaven!! We will be back soon. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay in 7B Ardroil.

The house is nice and cosy, it had everything we needed and we felt like at home. The Uig Sands near the house are beautiful and we even saw an eagle flying around. Thank's a lot!!

Great cottage near to Ardroil Beach, Uig on Lewis.

All you need for a lovely relaxing break - facilities extensive and great wifi and sat TV for those rainy cold days (not that we had any really).

Another very comfortable stay which is ideally suited to my needs.

Covid measures seemed well addressed. I hope to return again next year. I have made a suggestion to the housekeeper that another cooking pot would be helpful - only 2 small pots provided although there were 5 frying pans/woks - seems a bit out of balance.
