Riverview Cottage

What a beautiful cottage.

We had a lovely stay. When we had questions Nicola was so helpful and when we left some property, once again, she helped. Treats for us and treats for our dog on arrival.

The host was was great and easy to contact.

All the facilities here are fine.

The location in one sense is brilliant - right in the heart of Holmfirth - but, being on the main road, finding parking can be a bit of a hassle. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful

Such a lovely cottage and in an ideal location.

The cottage has everything you need, and the little touches like a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate from the local shop were lovely. Communication from the owner was fab, Nic messaged to check we arrived okay and that everything was going good. Will be staying again.

This cottage is situated right in the heart of the town, near to all the pubs and restaurants.

Parking was OK, found a place near to the cottage as the owner had said. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, everything you needed for a pleasant stay was provided. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a good quality break. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Firstly, very nice place.

Very convenient for town centre and It's amenities. I will point out the front door opens onto a busy main road which I don't remember in the description. This would be relevant to future guests with dogs and/or children. I would also point to the shower. This really needs to be thermostatically controlled to maintain temperature. Current one doesn't. Overall, impressed.

Great little cottage, within easy walking distance to everything Holmfirth has to offer.

Considering it is on a main junction you would never know, it overlooks the River Holm so the sound of the running water and ducks is pretty much all you hear. Highly recommend So Dough for woodfired pizza, Dixon’s Milk Ices for ice cream, O’Briens Beer Cafe for all manner of craft beers and an excellent house white and Bloc for coffee and the biggest Focaccia sandwiches known to man.

We had a wonderful stay at Riverview Cottage in Holmfirth and were genuinely impressed by how much thought the owner had put into making guests feel comfortable.

After a long drive, it was such a lovely touch to find welcome supplies waiting for us. Being able to sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit as soon as we arrived was exactly what we needed. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. One of our favourite features was the mezzanine snug, which was the perfect place to relax and enjoy an afternoon snooze. The views over the river are lovely and hearing the water flowing by as we drifted off to sleep was incredibly relaxing. Despite being right in town, the cottage felt peaceful and we never had any issues finding street parking nearby. The location could not be better. Step outside the front door and you are in the heart of Holmfirth with a great choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs all within easy walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Riverview Cottage. It is a beautiful, comfortable place to stay in a fantastic location and we would happily return.

Close to shops and restaurants. Beautiful location backing onto the river. We had a great stay.

Great few days spent at this little cottage perfectly located in the village center and overlooking the river.

Cottage well equipped for the family and the dog!

A great base for exploring around Holmfirth and into Peak District, the house was very clean and had everything you needed.

Kitchen / living area was comfy and well thought out. Plenty of parking on the road a few minutes walk away. Nicola was a great host and very responsive. The bedrooms are downstairs so stayed a bit cooler as it was very hot when we stayed! Great location to walk to shops in Holmfirth. Would definitely stay again.
