  • "We loved it."

Group of us booked for our annual get together and this is one of the best properties we have chosen to date. Lovely old charm couple with modern facilities and great decor. Beds were super comfortable with bedding you just want to luxuriate in. Well equipped kitchen and lots of space for us to do our thing and enjoy time together. It was also superbly presented, well maintained and immaculately cleaned. (We saw the cleaners on the day we left and thanked them for their efforts). Minor feedback is maybe amend the items in your welcome basket to reflect local produce maybe, but that sounds churlish and we did enjoy what was left for us. Thank you. We’ve actually looked at some dates to return in the future so we might well be back

  • "I am so disappointed."

I chose this property partly because of a pub in walking distance and an enclosed lawn for our dog. The pub is completely derelict and has clearly been closed for years. The lawn is completely open where the steps are and is therefore a problem for anyone with a dog or young child. It is a beautiful cottage and a nice area, but we had problems with the tv mechanism and also 2 of the showers needed to be fixed. I have fed this information back to Sykes and have had a very poor response. Last time I looked the listing information had not been corrected.

Hi Susan, thank you for your feedback. Please accept our apologies that you were not completely satisfied with your stay, we will ensure that the listing is updated to show that the village hotel is not currently in use. We will also take on board your comment about the garden and that it isn't fully enclosed and so could be a problem for some guests, again we will mention this on our listing. It was extremely unfortunate that the showers needed some maintenance whilst you were staying at the property but we did act on this as soon as we were notified. The TV mechanism issue was also resolved as soon as we received the report, due to the system needing a quick reset. Whilst we can only apologise for the inconvenience and make the changes on our listing, we do hope you enjoyed your stay . All the best. Property Owner

  • "Lovely, well maintained house in a beautiful location."

Well equipped-except for a hairdryer, very frustrating! Listing should mention low door ways (anyone over 5’10 will need to stoop to get through many of the doors-we had quite a few bumped heads!) and half size dishwasher to be fully accurate. Loved the welcome hamper and Bramley toiletries.

  • "A very special property in a lovely location."

Beautifully presented; excellent layout, extremely comfortable with thoughtful touches such as luxury bedding, towels and toiletries; starter pack of logs and cleaning materials. Lots of parking - ideal for when family members/friends are travelling from various parts of the country. Perfect for our get together for a special family celebration. My report of a couple of potential issues for future guests was responded to promptly and courteously. We had a real sense that the guests really did come first at this property. All in all, I can highly recommend a stay here.

  • "Beautiful cottage, layout and comfortable."

A perfect base to host multiple friend gatherings. The features of the cottage were lovely. It was cosy and beautifully decorated. Great quality of bedding. The top garden was enclosed but if your staying here with dogs, be aware the drive way out the back of the property to get to the garden isn't. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, the fridge was a great size. Only down side was the size of the oven. It would have been nice to of had some festive decorations in the property. But it wasn't a deal breaker. The cottage was stunning, we loved our stay as well as all our friends and family. We would definitely return and already considering booking for 2024.

  • "Wow. This cottage is incredible!"

Stunning little village location, beautiful property presented to such a high standard. We enjoyed 6 days here over Christmas and loved every moment, the dog particularly enjoyed the underfloor heating on the ground floor! Paul, the property manager was very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to book again, only minor point would be that one side of the garden was not secure for pets so we had to keep the dog on the lead when letting her out.

  • "Our stay at Enderley was magical, Teffont Evias is a truly unique and well worth the trip."

The "cottage" has been refurbished to a very high standard, with attention to detail clearly part of the architect's brief. The housekeeping is well done and thoughtful - the welcome hamper a lovely touch. All six guests in our party found everything to be comfortable and well appointed, the kitchen is well equipped - if you cook you know how to pack accordingly. We explored the footpaths to the local pubs (Compasses and Black Dog - both friendly and with good food). Walkers' booklet directions were good, but we found our Ordinance Survey a more familiar guide. Thank you to the owners for opening-up your property and to the housekeeping team for ensuring the place is in tip-top condition. Highly recommended!

The house is furnished to a very high standard and was extremely comfortable and relaxing to be in. Paul the caretaker was very helpful, and everyone we met outside who lived in the village was chatty and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this house to others.

  • "A beautifully restored listed cottage."

Extremely clean & welcoming, (especially the welcome pack), comfortable beds & linen. Sumptuous towels! A well equipped kitchen, however a microwave would have been useful as we were self catering. There are a few small criticisms:1) the furniture in the lounge is very uncomfortable & the layout is not very cosy which spoils the rest of the cottage. 2) Extremely difficult for a second person to get in & out of bed in the 2nd ensuite bedroom on 1st floor because there is no room to do so at the side of the bed. It should be stated in the particulars that there is no downstairs toilet which affected one of our guests who is not so mobile & found it difficult going upstairs. But we would recommend the venue to our friends & would return to Enderley. Thank you

  • "Beautiful and peaceful cottage in a lovely village."

Thoughtfully renovated so combines the pleasure of staying in a character building with modern comforts. Generous provisions of the basics: binbags, washing machine and dishwasher tablets etc. Lovely garden and seating area for when the sun is out. Fabulous walks literally on the doorstep, a stream to play Pooh sticks in just across the road, pubs a plenty. Very useful bus service to Tisbury and Salisbury for those wanting to use public transport. Highly recommended

  • "We had a lovely stay at Enderley and the property was clean and in a lovely little village."

The comfort was slightly affected by the low beamed ceilings - our fault for not considering this as our guests were 6 foot and 6 foot 6 inches tall so they had to stoop a lot! Might be worth mentioning this on the information just to alert future visitors. Only other thing to mention is that the walks from the village in our opinion were a little bit difficult due to busy roads but by car within a short drive there are so many lovely walks, villages and places of interest to visit There are also numerous extremely good places to eat within a short drive as well. overall - a great holiday cottage

  • "We had a superb time at Enderley - it's a wonderful property and a lot of care has clearly gone into the restoration to make this a superb place to stay."

It would be helpful for future guest to provide wardrobes in the bedrooms; we didn't really want to live from our suitcases for a week. There are some small drawers which did not provide enough storage, but drawers are also not always suitable. Also, a microwave is needed. Finally, I need to report that the hot tap was starting to drip in the bathroom attached to the blue bedroom. For future guests, I would recommend taking plenty of dishwasher pods, as it is a slim size, so for 6 guests we were running it sometimes twice a day. If you have a shaver or electric toothbrush, take a plug adapter as there is no shaver socket. These are very minor points though! The house and location are stunning, and we truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Thanks for your feedback its important to us. Sykes and the owner have been in conversation to discuss what improvements can be made to allow guests the best experience. Its pleasing to read you had a great time and we hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "Overall the cottage had great fittings and furniture, the kitchen was well supplied."

The amenities were excellent, such as the bathrooms, showers etc. We loved to sit out on the terrace and play with the kids in the garden. The hand cream and hand wash was a lovely touch as was the welcome basket. We felt the house additional items such as a dust pan & brush or general sweeping brush. Somewhere to hang & dry wet clothes from washing machine, also an iron. But other than that it was well equipped.

Thank you for your feedback. Sykes and the property manager are working together to try and make additions where they can. We are pleased to see you had a enjoyable time and hope to see you again, regards Sykes cottages! Property Owner
