"Overall a pleasant cottage to spend our holiday in."
Very nice location and easy to get around, plenty to see and do. The cottage lacks a few items for cleaning but is comfortable. A mention needs to be made regarding the stairs.

"We gave maximum stars throughout even though we found the steps on the stairs very deep."
I'm bad on my legs but I managed and the cottage was such a lovely place to stay.In fact we wouldn't hesitate to go back. Everything was spotlessly clean and well laid out, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage which isn't to far from Thirsk for shopping.

"A lovely cottage in a pretty village."
Very quiet at night and, with good mattress, slept very well. Good shower and gorgeous towels! No problems parking which was very useful packing the car. Walkers will love all the forest walks within a 20 mile radius. Afternoon tea lovers will really enjoy Porters in Helmsley and Bettys in Northallerton. I am both! I never tried the pub but visitors book suggests it is worth a visit. Look forward to a return visit in the future.

"We had a lovely stay at Ivy Cottage."
The steep stairs took a bit of getting used to, particularly for those nighttime trips to the bathroom. It's so peaceful there, we were very happy about that.
