It’s comfortable and handy for all of Pateley Bridge’s considerable charms. The view from the kitchen and sitting room, down the High Street to the hills beyond, is wonderful. We would love to stay here again and hopefully will!

  • "A lovely apartment."

The view down Pateley Bridge’s High Street and the hills beyond is wonderful. The main photo on your website really doesn’t do it justice. One thing to note - the listing claims Wi-fi and Smart TV. The wi-fi is unreliable to say the least, making the Smart aspect of the TV redundant, and is only accessible through Facebook, which is a fiddle if you’re not on Facebook or don’t particularly want them to have your details. This wasn’t much of a problem as we were out and about most of the time, but it might be awkward for visitors with children who need entertaining in wet weather!

Thank you for your feedback. We have removed the necessity to logon to the wi-fi via facebook, which will solve the problem for your next visit, apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to welcome you again, to Chews Cottage in the near future! kind regards, The Chews Cottage Team! Property Owner

The fittings and decorations are quite modern but yet still has its “old cottage “charms. I also enjoyed very much of the view over looking the Main Street . The owner was very helpful and friendly. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

  • "Chews cottage is an excellent transformation of an old building with a modern touch."

The property and all the contents were very clean and tidy. The host was very welcoming. The cottage is at the top of the building but don’t be put off by the description of third floor. The steps/ stairs easy and are well lit with automatic lighting. The view down the high street is wonderful. The village is a great base for the many walks in the area. The only improvement would be a washing machine to wash those trousers after a muddy walk.
