It's also possible to walk to a bus stop to get into Harrogate. It is reasonably well equipped but would benefit from chests of drawers in the bedrooms instead of just coat hangers to allow suitcases to be unpacked, some normal sized drinking glasses and some eggcups. Also, the bathroom mirror and shower controller are very high if you're only 5ft 3inches tall!

We also appreciate your suggestions. We will certainly look at providing egg cups. Regarding the drinking glasses, the cupboard is already well stocked with a variety of glasses, but we will review the selection to ensure it continues to meet guests' needs. The bedrooms are currently equipped with hanging rails and shelving for storage, but we will keep your comments in mind when considering future updates.
Thank you also for your observations regarding the bathroom mirror. Following recent guest feedback, we are looking at adding an additional mirror to provide greater convenience for guests of different heights. The shower controls have been installed at a standard height, but we appreciate that individual preferences and requirements can vary.

"Uncluttered and spacious."
Wonderfully comfortable, what a find! We visited Harrogate so that hubby could attend the annual BABS (Barbershop chorus) convention held at the Harrogate Convention Centre. The cottage was within walking distance so hubby didn’t need to use the car. The rest of the week was spent walking in various parts of Nidderdale. It was lovely to come back to Pebble Rock in the evening to relax.
My only issue was the bathroom mirror - I had to stand on tiptoe to see to ‘put my face on’ in a morning! It wouldn’t stop me booking again, though

"There were some issues with the property."
The rugs are potential trip hazzards. I had to take up the one in the kitchen for our stay. There needs to be a frying pan and an extra oven tray. My friend could not get the Mira shower to work and the extractor fan comes on when not switched on. The heating is not easy to regulate as there are no valves on the radiators and so many daily timings to set. Having said all of this, the owner had put up a Christmas tree for us and could not have been more helpful.

For clarity for future guests: all rugs are non-slip, and you were welcome to remove the kitchen rug if preferred. The kitchen is equipped with a frying pan and two oven trays, stored in the cupboards and oven respectively. The shower is a standard thermostatic unit operated by turning the control dial clockwise. The extractor fan is humidity-controlled and may activate automatically to help prevent condensation. Heating is managed via Hive and can be adjusted by guests by turning the dial clockwise once daily to maintain ‘ their ‘ consistent, comfortable temperature. Radiators have on/off controls that act like valves and can be adjusted to regulate individual room temperature.
We are always only a phone call away should any questions arise during a stay and are happy to assist wherever needed.

"It's a clean, comfortable and tidy modern property in a quiet area on the outskirts of the town."
Everything was well maintained and in good working order. Parking is on a driveway with plenty of space. The rear garden area is enclosed which is useful if you have a dog. It's location is a really good base for exploring several visitor attractions within a short driving distance.

There was a lot of rugs in the property they was a trip hazard and had to take the one up in the kitchen during our stay also was a little concerned that there was only one doorway in and out of the property to go to the back garden you had to go out and through a gate at the side of the property to the garden at the back apart from that the property was well equipped and very clean we enjoyed our stay thanks to the owners

Regarding the rugs, we use flat, non-slip rugs throughout the property and haven’t had any previous reports of them being a trip hazard. That said, we appreciate you mentioning it and will review them to ensure everything remains as safe and comfortable as possible. The kitchen floor is tiled, so your comment is helpful and we’ll take it into account.
As for the layout, the property does have one main side entrance. Access to the rear garden is via the secure side gate, which is intentionally designed this way to ensure pets cannot access the road directly and remain safe during their stay.

"First impressions were great, clean, modern and appeared comfortable."
We planned to stay for 7 nights as the whole purpose of the trip was to visit my elderly mother in law who resides in a local care home.
Parking was ok but sometimes tight due to the adjoining neighbours cars & van parked alongside.
We had an initial problem with operating the TV, we contacted the owner who immediately said she would call round which she did along with a friend who was her technical expert, it transpired that the Smart tv was connected to WiFi, all programming was only via apps ie; ITVX etc, there was however an aerial lead plugged into the tv which the owner did comment was to fix the problem however it later transpired that the aerial lead was connected to the unused sky tv dish. The tv had built in FREEVIEW, but not Freesat

Regarding the TV, thank you again for contacting us on arrival. We came straight over, demonstrated how the smart-TV operates through the built-in apps, and you confirmed you were happy to use it that way for your stay. The TV itself was fully functional and can be used either through the apps or in the conventional way.
During your visit, you kindly pointed out that an aerial lead had been connected to an inactive Sky port, which explained the initial confusion. This has since been corrected so both viewing options are now straightforward for future guests.

"The property was very clean and comfortable and in a quiet modern housing estate which was very convenient for visiting Harrogate."
The heating was very efficient and there was also a gas fire in the living room which was very cosy in the evenings. It was everything (and more) than we had hoped and we would definitely recommend the property. We had a lovely stay and it was certainly worthy of 5 stars.

"This is a lovely bungalow located on the western edge of Harrogate."
The location suited our needs perfectly, with dog-walking routes just five minutes from the house, a large Co-op about a 20-minute walk away, and several scenic walking paths nearby. It’s also conveniently close to local attractions.
The interior is clean and tidy; however, some details, such as the untreated floor and exposed wire ends in the corners of the rooms, gave the impression that the decoration was slightly unfinished. The chairs and cookware are lightweight, which was noticeable, though this wouldn’t be a problem if you plan to eat out frequently.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-located property with a few minor points that could be improved.

"This house is done to high standards."
The decor an the comfort in this house is a dream. Beds are so comfy. Lounge nice an big for comfort for watching tv. Separate little dining room with table an chairs to get u away from tv an have a family dinner no distraction. I would definitely stay here again. My dog loved the garden .
