Well-furnished to provide comfortable accommodation, this cottage ideal for a small group of friends or family wanting to experience the sublime Yorkshire countryside.

The cottage is positioned mid-way between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, making it an ideal base to explore both.

Upon entering the cottage you walk through a spacious hall into a contemporary open plan kitchen area with well-equipped kitchen units providing you with all the amenities you need to serve meals in the dining area, or on warmer evenings you can open the French doors and enjoy a meal on the patio.

The sitting room lies beyond with a steam effect wood burning stove and a smart TV.

The pretty village of Kirklington has a charming pub, The Black Horse, which is only 100m around the corner from the cottage and has excellent local ales and home cooked food.

Nearby is the town of Bedale, with a fantastic range of shops, restaurant and cafes.

Also, the charming market town of Masham is close by as well as the city of Ripon with its cobbled streets and famous cathedral.

There is plenty to keep you busy throughout the year.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Dower House Cottage.

It was just as described and very well maintained. Our children loved the en-suite bathroom and the open space downstairs. We would stay again

Lovely property and beautiful surroundings, if you want a quiet relaxing weekend this is the place to stay, also the pub across the road is so friendly and food was delicious.

Lovely comfortable accommodation.

Beds are really good and kitchen well equipped. At the moment not suitable if you are disabled as there are stone steps down to the front door and no handrail. The stairs need a better handrail as the existing one does not go to the top step and the grip is fingertips only. If you are able boddied it is a brilliant place to stay. Games and DVDs provided and a secure garden at rear. No shop in village and pub has limited opening times but Bedale is only a few miles away in the car and you are not far from some lovely villages and towns.
