Pretty Kirkby Malzeard is one of a scattering of delightful villages, idyllically situated amidst the stunning moorland scenery and tapestry of lush green meadows of Nidderdale. The village is well served by a pub, a village shop, tea rooms and a local garage. The area is a walkers paradise with many footpaths and bridleways wending their merry way through the beautiful Dales countryside, whilst painters and photographers are also well catered for. The surrounding area boasts plenty of local attractions including the ancient monastic ruins of Fountains Abbey and beautiful Studley Royal Gardens (National Trust), Lightwater Valley Theme Park, the pretty village of Masham with its famous brewery and of course the cathedral city of Ripon.
