"Stayed at canal view Skipton on the 18th April for 7 days, what a lovely property."
It was very clean and it was only a 10 to15 walk to the centre of town. There was a beautiful view from the back windows of the canal and you could watch the canal boats going past delightful. The super market morrisons is a 10 minute walk or you can go by car. Perfect Location and we'll woth the money. Fantastic property.
Thanks for taking time to leave your review of Canal View Jacqueline - brilliant to hear how much you enjoyed it! Thanks again, Andy Property Owner

"Delightful modernised cottage."
Excellent facilities making it perfect for 2 couples to relax and enjoy. Extremely clean. Very handy to all that Skipton has to offer, 10 minutes walk to railway station, 5 minutes to supermarket and pubs. We would definitely recommend and hope to return again later this year.

"The cottage itself was excellent, great location, very clean and tidy."
The only issues we had was there was no information pack. We didn't know how to work the TV, it seemed to Apps based and it took us two days before we could operate it happily. There was no information about what to do with the bins, with the recycling, what to do on the day of departure with the used towels and bedding. The major inconvenience for us was that during our stay was that it was very cold and wet. However, we could not find the central heating thermostat and there were no instructions on how to switch on the central heating. Also, there were not spare blankets in any of the bedrooms.
Hi Lawrence, thanks for your feedback. The thermostat had disappeared but we've got a new one, this time on the wall. Glad to hear you found the cottage clean, tidy and in a great location Property Owner

"Lovely clean smart accommodation, in a great location a walk away from everywhere."
We would have appreciated an information book showing us how to work things, where to put recycling etc. the TV was a bit tricky to begin with, glad we had a teenager with us.
Thanks for your positive review of Canal View Susan. Not sure where the info pack was - will check though thank you and glad you got sorted! Thanks again. Andy Property Owner

"Canal View is perfectly situated on the canal."
Well appointed and spotless accommodation well situated to explore N Yorkshire. We met the owner ( sorry I don’t know her name) she was charming and assured us she was contactable if we had any problems, which was good to know. We didn’t and we will return

SKIPTON
Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
