Description

Located at the heart of Skipton, a bustling, historic market town in Yorkshire lies the charming, mid-terrace holiday home of Flat Cap Cottage.

With allocated parking for one car, an enclosed, furnished courtyard, and superb positioning close to nearby shops and pubs, this delightful property, completed to a high standard, makes an idyllic base for a family or group of four seeking a relaxing, self-catered stay near the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Park up and step into your lovely new abode, where you will find a collection of well-appointed living spaces.

A fully-equipped kitchen area houses all the appliances you'll require to rustle up a tasty, home-cooked meal for your loved ones, whilst a well-furnished, lovingly-presented sitting space invites the whole group to kick back, unwind, and enjoy a film on a Smart TV whilst the room is kept warm by a gas fire.

As day rolls into night, head upstairs to refresh with a rejuvenating bath or shower before you hunker down for a well-earned rest in either a plush double or twin bedroom.

If you can tear yourself from your fabulous new home, set out to explore your fantastic new surroundings.

A brief stroll into Skipton will bring you to the M&S Simply Food supermarket where you can load up on homely essentials, whilst you can sit down and tuck into a hearty pub lunch at The Albion, The Woolly Sheep Inn, or The Cock & Bottle.

During your time in town, be sure to take a walk or cruise along the banks of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, brush up on local history at the Craven Museum & Gallery, sample some delicious food and drink at Skipton Market, and roam the battlements of the historic Skipton Castle.

Whilst you're in the region, head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where the Linton Falls, Stump Cross Caverns, and the Parcevall Hall Gardens are all waiting to be enjoyed.

For an unforgettable escape to Yorkshire, look no further than a stay at Flat Cap Cottage.

A beautifully presented cottage in a lovely location.

Right in the centre of town but tucked away so that it was very quiet and peaceful. Private parking is wonderfully convenient. The stairs in the cottage are steep and a bit awkward so I would not recommend if you are less mobile. Locally based property managers were very friendly and helpful

Flat Cap Cottage is ideally positioned to explore Skipton, it took minutes to reach the canal or the High Street where there are plenty of shops, cafes and pubs and a market takes place several days a week.

Using Skipton as a base there are many interesting places to visit, including The Ribblehead Viaduct, Hawes and the Wensleydale cheese creamery and Grassington where the new series of All creatures great and small is filmed. We weren’t short of things to do. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, it was prepared beautifully for us and we felt very much at home there. The kitchen is well stocked and if you choose to self cater you will have all the equipment that you need. There was always plenty of hot water and lovely bath sheets provided . All in all a lovely place to stay and we intend to make a return visit .
