  • "The best bed I have ever slept in,mit was like sleeping on a cloud."

The Lodge was comfortable, cosy and warm. The attention to the furnishing was terrific, beautifully designed in every aspect, I could live then rest of my life there, no trouble.

Well equipped and a very comfy bed. We found the WiFi extremely slow (despite resetting the router) and mobile signal wasn’t great either. The British Motor Museum and the Butterfly Farm great places to visit if wet!

Glad you enjoyed your week despite the weather. I have contacted our broadband provider and they are sending a new router which should improve the WiFi. Mobile reception is beyond our control sadly. Property Owner

  • "We decided to take a last minute break and found Goose Lodge, how lucky were we?"

It was absolutely lovely and Judith, Alisdair and Billy the dog made us very welcome. The Lodge was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and furnished and well equipped. When self catering, we enjoy sourcing local produce and then cooking at home (on some days!!). The layout of Goose Lodge was ideal for us as it's open plan, so we could cook and chat together. Goose Lodge is located in a small, pretty village and provides an excellent base for travelling around the area. The pub/hotel is literally a few minutes walk away and the food was well presented, exceptionally tasty and a reasonable price. Shipston on Stour is a few miles away, there was free parking and a range of shops including an amazing butchers, a greengrocery with a fish counter, delightful. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to Goose Lodge, the combination of it's excellent facilities and it's fabulous location make it the ideal spot for visiting the area. Thanks again to Judith and Alisdair.

The Lodge is excellent with everything you need in a home from home, the bed is probably the best we have slept in (including our own!) and the accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived. Judith and Alasdair (and Billy the Airedale) are the perfect host, leaving us to our own devices but on hand for any questions or enquiries we had, nothing seemed to much trouble. The village is quaint with a number of walking routes around the area and the food in the Halford Bridge Inn is superb.
