  • "A great location, just up the hill from the beach."

Very comfortable accommodation and the hot tub is lovely. Convenient parking space not too far away. The only issue is that the place could do with a really good deep clean. I noticed that there are brochures for the property inside so I assume the owner is selling the place so maybe not as much care has been taken over it as usual. Overall a great property with good sized accommodation and a fantastic location.

  • "The hottub was not ready for us to use on the Sunday, we were unable to use it until Monday evening we were given an extra night stay in way of compensation, we went to use the hottub on the Thursday night and it had been emptied without our knowledge even though we had to pay an extra £30 admi fee."

Very disappointed in the way we were treated.

  • "Wouldn’t let me select 0 stars."

Incorrect listing and terrible lack of response from customer service leaving us little time to find an alternative after having to cancel. Description was incorrect stating ground floor accommodation when in fact the bedrooms are upstairs so unsuitable for elderly parent. Number of bathrooms also incorrectly listed. Love chat never available, WhatsApp never replied. Had to wait on hold 5 separate times to get any kind of update and rarely the courtesy of a call back or apology. Disgusting service, totally unacceptable.

  • "Awesome holiday."

As soon as we opened the door we could tell the property was impeccably well maintained.

  • "You approach on a narrow road with no passing places, I imaging in summer this would be pot luck to whether you'd meet another car and have a 500m reverse or not!"

One parking space on an incline, which was often parked in by others. Outdoor decking is dirty, covered in debris which has not been cleaned since autumn. The banister on the desking is rotten and would probably snap if you were to lean on it. The chairs and table outside (on both decks) are dirty and rusty. Windows are filthy, both internal (covered in previous dogs slaver) and externally. Moving into the property, sofas are damaged and worn, general cleanliness is shocking - large clumps of previous dog hair, dirty/dusty skirtings, marks on walls and furniture, sand on floors, stairs carpet dirty and stained. TV in main lounge does not pick up most channels - had to change remote batteries. In kitchen ceiling spot lights not working, fridge has a damaged seal so struggles to cool, oven has had all symbols rubbed away so difficult to use. Kitchen window and blind are filthy, kitchen door handle broken. Outdoor area to rear was covered in leaves, twigs and general mess. Door leading to this area had a broken handle. Hot tub cover was covered in bird mess... luxury this area was not! Upstairs, again floors, windows and furniture dirty. Bed was 'okay' I'm not sure its a kingsize though like advertised - two singles pushed together. Main bedroom door handle broken so couldn't close door - balcony out of bedroom glass railing was filthy and seats were rusty. The house in general could do with a good clean and refresh. Overall disappointing!

  • "Booked a long weekend at Tehidy with the family and dogs."

A great place to stay, very comfortable and clean house. We had a problem with the down stairs heaters (Not working). When I contacted the office about the problem they rectified this straight away and kept me informed during the process. Staff very polite and courteous. The Back yard were the hot tub is needed a sweep/Tidy prior to the our visit. Location is close to the beach/shops/chip shop/ and a couple of pubs. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and would recommend this place to all visiting.

  • "Heater downstairs didn't work."

When we arrived the hot tub wasn't hot and was set at 21. We paid a substantial amount for 3 nights to include the use of the hot tub. The grounds around the hot tub needed sweeping. The Cooker has the timer and settings rubbed off, making it hard to work. Beautiful house and beds extremely comfortable.

  • "There were a few things that didn’t work in the property: Shower in the bathroom Heater downstairs The place also wasn’t particularly clean."

Thank you for your feedback. The housekeeping team has checked the shower and the heathers downstairs and confirmed they are working. We are sorry you did not find the cleanliness up to standard but had you notified us during your stay the housekeeping team would have bene able to rectify the issue. Property Owner

This contemporary abode enjoys an enclosed back yard with raised decking and hot tub and is situated just half a mile from the beach, ideal for a family getaway in any season.

After parking up in the off-road parking space, head through the front door into the lounge, where you can take a seat on the sofa and kick back in front of the Smart TV.

Move through into the kitchen, where you’ll find a range of appliances, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so there’s no need to bring your whole wardrobe!

Round off the evening with a dip in the hot tub before freshening up in the bathroom and whisking off to bed.

The master provides a king-size with zip/link beds, whilst there is also a double bed, plus a twin, each wonderfully presented.

Head into the centre of Porthtowan, a delightful village offering a choice of pubs and shops, and of course, a stunning sandy beach backed by imposing cliffs.

Lace up your walking boots and take the pooch out for a wander along the South West Coast Path, spanning further along the St Agnes Heritage Coast, stopping to capture photos of historical sites, including Trevaunance Cove, and appreciating glorious coastal vistas.

Make a stop off in the village of St Agnes with its many shops and cafés, or head to nearby Perranporth for its golden sands and excellent surfing conditions.

Further afield, visit Cornwall’s only city, Truro, or head to the sub-tropical domes of the Eden Project, a must for garden lovers.
