Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum is located on the Northumberland Coast. First, you can stroll through the lovely gardens. Maybe you prefer the arboretum’s peaceful woodlands. Whether you live nearby or are visiting the Northumberland Coast, Howick Hall has something for everyone.
Howick Hall Gardens
Since 1319, Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum has been the ancestral residence of the Earl Greys. Explore the beautiful gardens created by Earl Grey’s 5th generation and his family. Or, for those more adventurous, visit the arboretum with over 65 acres of shrubs and trees. After exploring, savour a cup of Earl Grey tea and a bite to eat at the Earl Grey Tea House.
The gardens were named one of the top five coastal gardens in the UK by BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, and The Independent newspaper named it one of the top ten gardens to visit in spring. The Garden Museum and Gardens Illustrated magazine named the garden ‘Garden of the Year’ in 2009.
